Chapter 134 - Chapter 88: Legilimency! A Shocking Choice! (4)

"I'll ask my mom tomorrow."

The little wizard seemed clearly a bit nervous. Perhaps the events of this afternoon had already spread like wildfire, as Ian noticed even a second-year student wanted to join in.

Faced with eyes eager for knowledge and the shiny Silver Sickle, Ian naturally had no reason to refuse.

"You were amazing this afternoon!"

"Oh my gosh! What on earth did I miss? It's a pity I wasn't there, William told us that Marcus Flint's bladder capacity was even greater than a Welsh Green Dragon's!"

"I want to learn the magic you used to finally defeat Marcus Flint!"

...

Faced with the enthusiastic little wizards.

Ian counted his earnings and began teaching.

Even the little wizard, who chose to leave last night because it wasn't a Magic Potion Class, ran back, and Ian warmly received them as if nothing had happened.

Time always flies during the process of learning.

Very soon.

After teaching everyone the practical skills of the Lighting Spell, Ian returned to the dormitory with a box of Chocolate Frogs and a bulging money bag, amidst the gratitude of numerous students who had learned something.

If not for a few finishing touches needed for the Living Map, he would certainly have started selling it tonight and told everyone it came from a James Potter's blind box.

After all, it's a campus contraband.

The risks that need to be avoided should still be avoided. Amid Michael's snoring, Ian unsurprisingly lost to William, once again handing over the title of night study champion to William.

When he woke up the next day.

William was still sitting at the desk, and Ian wasn't sure if he got up early or never slept at all, but you couldn't see any dark circles on this roommate's face.

"What are you tinkering with?"

Ian noticed William seemed to be "sending telegrams" again. This guy wasn't even hiding in bed anymore, openly playing with that particular potion box in the dormitory.

"Reporting on my reserve Saint life, receiving family guidance."

Indeed.

Loyalty.

No need for more words.

Morning classes are the most boring, but they are the most attended by first-year students, with Magic History Class. Ian, his roommates, and most classmates were all sleeping soundly.

After waking up.

Ian realized how reasonable William's time management skills were. Staying up late or even all night to study relied entirely on the fact that today's Professor of Magic History Spencer would provide them with a deep relaxation through Great Hypnosis.

"You're still the best!"

After waking up.

Ian gave a thumbs-up to the spirited William, once again unsurprisingly bidding farewell to his two roommates, and jogged to the library he hadn't managed to enter yesterday.

Even a Ravenclaw Wizard rarely comes to the library during mealtime. In the giant, empty place, Madam Pince was doing the library cleaning work.

She would always clean the library once before opening and again near closing time, sometimes on a whimsical midday cleaning spree.

Even though many areas hadn't been touched by any little wizard, it didn't affect Madam Pince's enthusiasm for cleaning. It might be her peculiar personal hobby.

Perhaps it's a genuine love for books, not wanting them sullied by even a speck of dust. Of course, returning home might be more boring than cleaning.

"That area is off-limits!"

As soon as she saw Ian heading straight for the Forbidden Book Area, Madam Pince rushed over, feather duster in hand.

"I always thought you were an obedient little wizard!" Madam Pince blocked Ian's path to the Forbidden Book Area, her expression not hiding her displeasure.

"Madam Pince, I am a little wizard with permission to enter, not one of those sneaky ones," Ian had been holding onto the approval note from Snape signed by Dumbledore for a moment like this.

"Here, have a look."

Ian pulled the approval note from his pocket and waved it in front of Madam Pince's eyes, planning to put it back in his pocket afterward.

"Let me see it clearly, don't think you can fool me. Although I do like your gummy candies, I won't indulge anyone trying to break school rules."

Madam Pince was reluctant to believe the signature she saw. She had been a librarian for many years and had never seen a little wizard get a note from Dumbledore. In all of Hogwarts, from professors to some janitors, everyone knew Dumbledore was very cautious about little wizards learning any forbidden book content.

"Look at this~"

Once again, Ian quickly pulled out the note signed by Dumbledore to show Madam Pince before retracting it, only to be caught by her hand holding the note.

"It's really a permission from Dumbledore!" Madam Pince could certainly recognize if the note was forged, which was why she was somewhat astounded, "Headmaster Dumbledore actually permitted a first-year child to enter the Forbidden Book Area, this is not something a cautious professor like him would do."

Saying this, Madam Pince released Ian's hand, allowing him to retrieve the note back into his pocket.

"Madam, Dumbledore is a wise headmaster who merely discerned who is kind, just, courageous... someone who would never be seduced by the forces of darkness and evil."
