Chapter 94 - Chapter 92: Self-Duel?

"Brilliant Fusion is a Continuous Spell Card that allows you to Fusion Summon by sending Fusion Materials from your Deck to the Graveyard," Kagurazaka explained with folded arms, familiar with Tenjo Hikari's card, "However, Monsters Fusion Summoned with this card will have their ATK become zero."

"You remember quite well," Tenjo Hikari raised an eyebrow, "Anyway, I'll send Gem-Knight Sapphire and Gem-Knight Tourmaline from my Deck to the Graveyard for a Fusion Summon."

"Fusion Summon, Gem-Knight Aquamarine!"

Gem-Knight Aquamarine, a blue gem warrior wielding a Shield Sword, appeared on the field after Tenjo Hikari's call.

Gem-Knight Aquamarine, LV 6, Earth Attribute, Aqua-Type, DEF 0.

"Aquamarine? Oh wow! A new Gem-Knight! So cool!" Judai cheered excitedly upon seeing the card.

"A brand new Gem-Knight, I wonder what power this Gem-Knight holds?"

Tenjo Hikari glanced at the Aquamarine card.

Aquamarine was a card discovered in Teacher Daitokuji's Extra Deck after a duel with him, composed of a Sapphire and another card. Tenjo Hikari later recreated a Sapphire with Tierra's help.

Although she wasn't happy about it, she still helped him make it.

Tierra never liked Crystal, which Tenjo Hikari was well aware of.

Then, Tenjo Hikari activated a card from his hand: "Next, the Spell Card, Thunder Dragon Fusion. This card returns Fusion Monster Materials from the field, Graveyard, or Banished Zone to the Deck to Fusion Summon a Thunder-Type Fusion Monster. I return Gem-Knight Tourmaline and Gem-Knight Sapphire from the Graveyard to the Deck, then Fusion Summon, Gem-Knight Prismaura."

"Gem-Knight Prismaura has the special effect of discarding one Gem-Knight card to destroy one face-up card on the field," Kagurazaka nodded repeatedly, "Of course, I know this well, as someone who pursues the ultimate in Fusion."

"Quick-Play Spell, Book of Moon, before you activate Prismaura's effect, Captain Crystal, Cover it for me!" He waved his hand, took out Book of Moon, shouted at Prismaura, then covered it, turning it into a black face-down card.

"Hey, Tenjo Hikari, can I get rid of this guy?" Tierra appeared beside Tenjo Hikari, pointing at Kagurazaka, "He's a bit disgusting."

Tenjo Hikari twitched his mouth but did not respond.

Kagurazaka's dueling style involved mimicking others, but since he didn't completely have his own cards, he mixed in others' cards.

Even copying the nasty personality of Integration Department students shows his unique talent in certain areas.

"Hikari's dueling style involves both information and psychological tactics," Mitsuzawa Daichi commented from the audience, "On the information side, almost all Fusion-related cards, even some obscure ones, he knows; psychologically, Hikari can accurately read his opponent's psyche.

However, Kagurazaka can perfectly mimic others' psychology and dueling habits. He even called Crystal 'Captain Crystal,' which Hikari likes to say. This duel won't be easy."

The crowd nodded in agreement.

The biggest threat in psychological warfare is when the opponent fully understands what you're thinking. Right now, Kagurazaka is almost dueling as if he were "Tenjo Hikari," likely knowing precisely what Hikari is thinking.

"But, isn't that Aquamarine a new card?" Judai asked.

"So, the key lies with Aquamarine?"

"Or maybe Tenjo Hikari will bring out another card?" Manjome suggested casually, "He hasn't used that Female Spirit's card, has he?"

"Now that you mention it, true!" Judai looked at Tierra beside Tenjo Hikari, nodding lightly.

Tenjo Hikari surveyed the field, drew a card from his hand, and placed it in the back row: "Set a card, end turn."

"My turn, draw!" Kagurazaka drew a card, glanced at his hand, and then said, "I know precisely what you're thinking—you think I'm afraid of your Set Card or Monsters on the field? Naive, I activate the Spell Card, Instant Fusion!"

"It's Instant Fusion!"

"Did that Kagurazaka even get Instant Fusion?"

The surrounding students couldn't help but comment.

Even using Tenjo Hikari's frequent Fusion Card, is today's Kagurazaka showing that a fake doesn't always have to be inferior to the original?

"According to Instant Fusion's effect, I pay one thousand Life Points to Fusion Summon a LV 5 or lower Fusion Monster from the Extra Deck!

You should know what I'm about to Summon!"

"Indeed, Fusion Summon, Thousand-Eyes Restrict!"

Thousand-Eyes Restrict, LV 1, Dark Attribute, Spellcaster-Type, ATK 0.

"I see." Excitedly, a few upperclassmen from the Integration Department jumped up, "Since the effect of Aquamarine is unknown, just use Thousand-Eyes Restrict's effect to absorb it! That way, its effect can be checked!"

"That's it!" Kagurazaka said confidently, "Go, Evil God, devour the Knight!"

Under a purple glow, the Thousand-Eyes Restrict lit up, absorbing the blue Knight into its shadow.

Thousand-Eyes Restrict ATK: 0→1400.

Kagurazaka confidently looked down at the card, and the next second, his face changed dramatically.
