Chapter 81 - Chapter 64: Chakra and Natural Energy (Part 1)

Tailed Beasts.

Ultimate creatures passed down from the Ancient Era.

Since ancient times, they have been symbols of natural disasters.

They possess immense power beyond human reach.

Their names derive from the number of tails they have, from One-tailed to Nine-tailed, totaling nine Tailed Beasts, unique life forms that emerged from the materialization of massive Chakra.

Immortal and indestructible.

They can only be sealed.

Hakushi searched for all sorts of information about the Tailed Beasts, and all the texts described these Chakra creatures as demons, calling them natural disasters.

To stop the Tailed Beasts from causing chaos, someone must act as a sacrifice to become a Jinchuriki, the container for sealing the Tailed Beasts.

In today's Ninja Villages of the Five Great Nations, each village has a Jinchuriki as a weapon to seal the Tailed Beasts.

In Konoha, where Hakushi currently resides, there is also a Tailed Beast, the most powerful monster among them—the Nine-tailed.

The Nine-tailed is a giant demon fox with nine tails, once controlled by the Uchiha Madara of the Uchiha Race. Later, the First Hokage defeated Uchiha Madara, deemed the Nine-tailed Demon Fox's power too malevolent and strong, and thus took the opportunity to seal it, suppressing it within Konoha.

The records abruptly stop there.

However, knowing this is sufficient for Hakushi.

Tailed Beasts are life forms generated from the materialization of Chakra.

They possess power akin to natural disasters.

Thinking about the rampage of One-tailed Shukaku that day, even from a distance it inspired a fear that one could not contend with.

Hakushi felt that naming Tailed Beasts as symbols of natural disasters was not a mistake at all.

Indeed, such power is difficult for humans to control.

The key is that even if you kill a Tailed Beast, it will randomly resurrect somewhere in the Ninja Realm after a while.

Therefore, only Sealing Techniques can be used against Tailed Beasts.

Hakushi looked at the sealed glass pillar in the groove of the adjacent test apparatus, where a mass of Chakra emitting a faint purple light was concentrated.

"It's certainly Chakra, but it seems to incorporate Yin Yang Attribute Chakra nature transformation…"

According to Hakushi's knowledge and data obtained from practice, Chakra possesses a volatile nature.

In other words, if you materialize Chakra, it will gradually vanish over time.

Yet, the Tailed Beasts are maintained purely with materialized Chakra and do not remain in a state of Chakra evaporation.

At least from known information, Tailed Beasts do not have this continuous volatilizing property.

"Is it because of the addition of Yin Yang Attribute nature transformation? Moreover, there is a mysterious unknown element, which would have been difficult to spot if I hadn't pre-experimented with Natural Energy."

Hakushi then stared at the enigmatic Tailed Beast Chakra with a puzzled look.

This Tailed Beast Chakra originates from the One-tailed Shukaku of Hidden Sand.

Hakushi thought this kind of Chakra had high research value, so when escaping back then, he casually scooped some with a Chakra-absorbent test vial.

He had almost grasped the preliminary analysis of the Tailed Beast Chakra.

Only the deeper layers still lacked an effective path for exploration and decryption.

Most importantly, though he was proficient in Yang Attribute nature transformation, he wasn't as skilled in Yin Attribute nature transformation.

And the Spirit Transformation Jutsu given by Ruri also belongs to the Yin Attribute Chakra nature transformation type of Ninja Techniques, which can bypass any defense to enter the enemy's mental world for destruction and control.

Thus, to explore the secrets of Tailed Beast Chakra, one must first master Yin Yang Attribute nature transformation.

While Hakushi was pondering, the laboratory door above opened, footsteps drawing near.

A petite silhouette slowly descended the stairs through the hallway.

"You're back? Been long enough, huh."

Seeing Ruri return, Hakushi taunted her.

"You hit the nail on the head."

Ruri uttered this sentence.

Hakushi slightly paused, then placed his hand under his chin, pretending to be in deep thought.

"I see, the Hokage Faction is planning to use other benefits to make Uchiha disregard this matter. And the Uchiha's upper echelon rejected your suggestion as if this never happened, right?"

After he finished, a Kunai flew toward his face.

Hakushi caught the flying Kunai effortlessly with two fingers, hooked the hilt ring, and spun it on his finger.

He leaned slightly against the lab table behind him, smiling as he spoke: "Your reaction is overly cold; didn't I already say it? Although the whole Uchiha Race would benefit, the resolution wouldn't personally satisfy you. Politics inherently demands compromise on both sides to maintain balance. When one side no longer accepts compromise, that's when bloodshed becomes necessary."

Neither the Uchiha nor the Konoha higher-ups seemed intent on doing such a thing.

"You really are a sharp 'crow' mouth."

"After all, you're a staunch believer in power, seeking dominance through strength rather than political profit. To you, once you possess strength, whether by snatching or competing for things, accepting compromise to gain profit is unacceptable. This is your biggest rift."

Ruri looked at Hakushi with a bit of disgust.

She always felt like he saw through her as if she were naked.

"However, I think the Uchiha upper echelon doing so is actually a tactic in itself. Remember, the Uchiha Race isn't some small house; politics, economy, and military, are essentially a trinity that cannot be separated. Politics is originally a tangled web that can't be easily cut apart…"
