Yuri wanted to back away towards the door and then make a run for it.
Yusei didn't stop her. He just watched her quietly.
Under his gaze, Yuri felt unnerved and realized the impracticality of her plan, so she temporarily gave up on struggling for now. However, her spirit was quite strong.
She said sullenly, "I won't help you summon any Heretic God. Give it up."
Yusei glanced at her, didn't say anything, but his originally black pupils now turned a bloody red, with complex snowflake patterns in the middle.
These eerie, beautiful eyes instantly entered Yuri's field of vision, stunning her mind.
Looking at the girl whose pupils were gradually losing focus, Yusei spoke calmly.
"Are there any Heretic Gods in Japan right now?"
"Yes."
"Which Heretic God?"
"Susanoo no Mikoto."
Hearing this name, Yusei's eyes lit up, and he continued asking.
"Where is he?"
The girl hypnotized by the Sharingan remained wooden, speaking word by word, "The History Compilation Committee."
"Exactly where?"
When Yusei asked her this, an expression of pain appeared on the girl's face, and she remained silent for a long time.
'Was a restriction placed on her, preventing her from revealing the headquarters' location?' Yusei thought to himself, canceling that line of questioning.
After thinking for a moment, Yusei asked, "Do you know the location of the History Compilation Committee?"
"Can you say it?"
"N-no... I can't." After a moment of hesitation and struggle, the girl still said this.
Yusei nodded, "If that's the case, then go to the headquarters of the History Compilation Committee now."
"Okay." The girl responded woodenly and walked stiffly outside.
Yusei didn't follow her openly but hid in the shadows.
History Compilation Committee.
As a mysterious organization, it naturally wasn't built in a public place but constructed in a remote location.
Arriving at the entrance and looking at the building before him, Yusei probed with his mental energy but didn't detect anything out of the ordinary.
Yusei frowned slightly, looking at the plaque at the entrance. It indeed read [History Compilation Committee].
"Never mind. You wait here. I'll go in alone."
After giving the order to Yuri, Yusei stepped forward.
However, the moment Yusei's foot stepped into the gate's courtyard, red restriction runes suddenly spread from under his feet, instantly enveloping the entire courtyard.
Immediately after, a red script dome enveloped the area, perfectly isolating Yusei within this [History Compilation Committee].
Yusei frowned slightly. Before he could do anything, a light laugh sounded.
Yusei looked over. What met his eyes was a man dressed in formal attire, with smiling eyes that looked very fake.
Besides him, there was also a cool-faced girl holding a sheathed katana, and a burly man wearing a kimono.
Including Yuri, that made four people in total.
And Yuri, who originally looked very wooden, had now returned to normal. Her eyes were clear, with no trace of being controlled left.
Seeing this, Yusei largely understood.
'So, this girl was voluntarily being controlled.'
Yusei rubbed his nose. He didn't expect the Sharingan's hypnosis he is confident at had been broken free from.
He looked around at the people and spread his hands, "So it seems you are all key members of the [History Compilation Committee]. Can you tell me, where is Susanoo no Mikoto?"
As soon as he finished speaking, someone walked out from the opposite side. It was the burly old man from before.
He laughed heartily, very boldly.
"Young man, you are quite bold. Even though you are not a Campione, just a magus, you dare to seek trouble with me?"
"So you are Susanoo no Mikoto?" Yusei didn't answer but asked his own question.
"So what if I am? This is a curse ritual specifically constructed to target magi. You have already..." He spoke confidently.
Before he could finish, a bolt of lightning suddenly split the originally clear sky, striking the red script that trapped Yusei.
Susanoo's eyes instantly widened, looking at the lightning in the sky.
He himself possessed authorities over wind and rain. He could tell this lightning wasn't formed from magical power but was a natural phenomenon.
Simply put, it was like the power of an Authority.
The reason he had previously said Yusei wasn't a Campione but a magus was because Yusei didn't possess the power of a Campione, yet he did possess hypnotic power.
This was something both magi and Heretic Gods could sense.
Yusei undoubtedly had no Campione power on him. So where did this lightning come from?
However, Yusei didn't give him time to analyze. He was already impatient. He never expected the Heretic God to be delivered right before his eyes, which delighted him.
Without hastily using his Susanoo, countless lightning bolts, under the control of [Weather Manipulation], all surged towards Susanoo.
Susanoo, the burly man who looked like a middle-aged elder, was not flustered. Facing the overwhelming lightning, he shouted loudly and actually dispersed those lightning bolts.
"Oh?" This scene caught Yusei's attention.
He had been keeping his Sharingan active. He was very clear about energy changes... and he saw that when Susanoo shouted, a certain power erupted.
If Yusei wasn't mistaken... that was probably the so-called Divine Power.
The lightning strike was dispersed, but the scattered electricity still struck the surrounding trees and roads. The area looked as if it had been shelled, charred and smoking.
The members of the History Compilation Committee, even though battle-hardened and knowledgeable about mystical forces, still felt fear facing this level of attack from an Authority.
Those people stared wide-eyed at Yusei, who had already broken free from the confinement and looked completely at ease.
"The intelligence was severely flawed. The target is not a magus, but a genuine Seventh Campione! The Seventh Devil King!"
Hearing the term 'Seventh', Yusei narrowed his eyes, 'It seemed the original plot hasn't started yet.'
