Chapter 224 - Chapter 224 Big And Small

"No! It seems you've already figured it out, Anata, so I won't say more. But just this once! Kaguya and I have formed an alliance. If there are any more, then from now on, Yusei-kun, you'll be sleeping on the floor!" Asuna said fiercely.

But this deliberately fierce manner, coming from the inherently gentle Asuna, didn't seem fierce at all. Instead, it had a kind of cute, moe feeling to it.

"Okay, okay, definitely. Thank you, my cute, gentle Asuna. Kaguya must be over the moon about this, right?"

"Who's over the moon, you idiot! Asuna-nee is just too indulgent with you. Sleeping on the floor is nothing; you should be kneeling on a steel plate!"

Upon hearing this, Yusei immediately felt his knees go weak.

"What a cruel girl. If it's a steel plate as flat as your oppai, my knees would definitely hurt to death."

"What?!" Kaguya's face turned bright red, wishing she could immediately run to Yusei's house.

Asuna chuckled lightly beside Kaguya, watching her and Yusei bicker over the phone. A trace of melancholy suddenly arose in her heart.

But she immediately shook her head to dispel it.

It wasn't that Asuna didn't get jealous, but she understood sharing and cared about Yusei's feelings.

Simply put, she loved Yusei more than she loved herself. She cared about Yusei's feelings more than her own.

Of course, that was only one reason.

The main reason was that the other girl was Kaguya.

In SAO, half her time was spent with Yusei, and the other half was the time she spent teaming up with Kaguya.

They had saved each other countless times, long having formed a life-and-death bond.

Therefore, in this matter, Asuna, who already loved Yusei deeply, didn't feel utter despair after learning about Yusei and Kaguya through some coincidences.

She felt a bit disheartened at first, but soon came to understand.

She trusted Yusei… she trusted the profound vows they made to each other in SAO.

She trusted Kaguya… she trusted the life-saving friendship she shared with Kaguya in SAO.

Moreover, this morning, when she originally thought Kaguya might not dare to speak to her, or would feel guilty, or, thinking more cynically, that Kaguya might arrogantly mock her... she found that instead, Kaguya came to her in the morning full of apology and embarrassment, confessing everything to her frankly.

And she proactively suggested that she could be the 'smaller' one...

This surprised Asuna, but also comforted her, because she hadn't misjudged the person.

So, the matter was quickly settled. The thunderous wrath Kaguya had expected did not occur, and Asuna simply accepted her very frankly.

While feeling disbelief, Kaguya also felt a sense of luck and happiness. A weight in her heart was finally resolved.

This led to the giggling Kaguya. Otherwise, given Kaguya's nature, even in front of Yusei, she wouldn't necessarily be giggling.

After hanging up, Yusei no longer felt like going back to sleep.

He peeked into Shiro's room and was surprised to find that Kanna and Shiro were already awake. The two little sisters were under the covers, seemingly playing games together online.

Yusei didn't disturb them. He washed up, got dressed, and left home.

Taking the train skillfully, Yusei felt a bit frustrated. Having to take the train every time he went out... should he buy an electric bicycle?

The last e-bike he bought was left at his parents' place for Kanako to use for grocery shopping and getting around, so he currently had no vehicle.

But he could think about that after returning from the Shinomiya house. For now, he needed to go there to see that violin master.

Actually, if he remembered correctly, Yusei could roughly guess the master's purpose.

'If it was about fortune-telling and related to this violin master, then it could only be about that girl named Miyazono Kaori, right?'

She was this violin master's student, and the only person Yusei had used fortune-telling as a pretext to warn was that very girl.

Now that the master was here, he guessed that girl's illness had manifested.

Thinking of this, Yusei couldn't help but sigh.

Unfortunately, even if the illness had manifested, there wasn't much he could do. Healing Spell wasn't some amazing all-cure, it was just simple status recovery.

For a human terminal illness, it would require the advanced magic of a High Priest or an even higher level...

Moreover, Yusei felt he didn't necessarily need to go out of his way to heal that girl. From the very beginning, he had reminded her many times.

He had even reminded the girl again when they met yesterday.

If she didn't believe him, then there was nothing Yusei could do. Although, even if she had believed him and sought treatment, it might have been too late by now.

While Yusei was lost in thought, he had already arrived at the stop near the Shinomiya Residence.

Yusei went to the Shinomiya Residence via his usual route. The security guards at the entrance already recognized him. After a brief registration, he went straight in.

Arriving at the Shinomiya Residence, the one who came to greet him was the same maid whom Yusei had helped out of a predicament last time.

She had a smile on her face and was quite good-looking. Or rather, all the maids at the Shinomiya Residence had rather outstanding appearances.

"Yusei-sama."

The maid came forward to greet him.

Yusei smiled lightly and nodded, "Yeah, thanks. Where is the violin master Kaguya mentioned who was looking for me?"

"She is in the reception room right now. Please allow me to lead you there."

"No need to be so polite, just led me there."

Following the maid, Yusei arrived at the reception room and met the violin master.

He had seen her before. She was a middle-aged woman. Unlike the confident and composed performer on stage, her face now carried a few more wrinkles of worry.

The maid stepped forward and introduced to the violin master, "This is Yusei-sama, the person you were looking for."

Hearing this, the violin master quickly stood up, looking at Yusei with great respect, "Hello, Yusei-sama."

Yusei smiled awkwardly and waved his hand, "Let's not stand on ceremony. Tell me why you were looking for me."

The maid stood to the side, preparing to serve tea to both of them. She looked at Yusei, "Yusei-sama, what would you like to drink?"

Yusei smiled, "I'll have a coffee, please."

The maid nodded, then looked at the violin master, who quickly said, "Ordinary tea is fine. Thank you very much."

Hearing this, the maid focused on preparing drinks for the two of them.
