Chapter 35 - Chapter 35 Yusei's Drawing

Soon, amidst the enthusiastic exclamations of the audience below, an hour passed.

This [Special Appreciation Event] lasted two hours. The first hour was the manga master drawing, and the second hour was answering fan questions.

"It's over, but I've learned it." Yusei deactivated his Sharingan, feeling somewhat tired, but it was still within his tolerance.

Utaha beside him also withdrew her reluctant gaze. Although she didn't draw, writing novels also required visualizing character images in her mind.

The girls drawn by this mangaka were extremely soft, beautiful, and cute, quite fitting the image of the female lead in Utaha's own book.

"So? Did you learn it?" Utaha looked at Yusei teasingly.

Although it was a question, she didn't actually believe Yusei could have learned it.

"Of course." Yusei nodded, appearing utterly confident.

This confident demeanor made Utaha raise an eyebrow, thinking to herself, 'Is this guy just trying to save his dignity?'

But before she could say something 'advisory', she heard the host on stage enthusiastically announce:

"Our appreciation event has temporarily added a little plan: we're inviting an audience member to draw manga together with Sensei, allowing everyone to feel the emotions contained in manga even more closely." (T/N: Usually, the Author in Japan would be usually called Sensei.)

"Everyone gathered here undoubtedly likes and loves manga. I think this is the best way to get everyone involved!"

"The lucky audience member will be randomly selected by Sensei. Please look forward to it!"

After the host finished speaking, he exchanged a few words with the manga master sitting nearby. Then, the manga master casually glanced at the people in the audience.

"Let's go with that young man in black. Manga is always youthful. I can see the passion for manga in your eyes."

Following the mangaka's pointing finger and gaze, Yusei felt the people in front turn their heads in unison, all looking in his direction.

"Uh... did he pick me?"

"Apparently so." Utaha chuckled lightly, then looked at him playfully.

"Now the opportunity is here. Didn't you want to prove it? You should seize such a great stage."

As she spoke, Utaha deliberately leaned close to Yusei's ear and whispered.

"If you win the bet... anything goes, how about that?"

Hearing this, Yusei felt incredibly agitated inside. It was already hot weather, and although the building had air conditioning, he felt hot at that moment.

Utaha was undoubtedly doing this on purpose, provoking him, as she really couldn't believe that he could learn it.

By distracting him with thoughts of 'anything' right before he was about to perform on stage… how could he possibly focus on drawing?

But this was all based on the premise that Yusei couldn't learn it. The problem was, Yusei wasn't afraid of this at all.

"Alright, I hope you won't go back on your word then." Yusei felt inwardly amused, but on the surface, he maintained an extremely confident appearance.

'Did this count as Senpai delivering herself to me?'

Making his way through the crowd, Yusei arrived on stage and looked enthusiastically at the manga master.

"Hello, Sensei. Your manga is truly amazing. Watching it got me so passionate that I want to draw manga myself."

"Haha, I'm glad to hear that. It's great to have new blood joining the manga industry."

After a simple exchange of pleasantries, staff nearby brought tools and set up a station for Yusei right next to the manga master.

Yusei's task was to copy the manga master's drawing.

It was an illustration of a girl… a tall, black-haired, straight-haired, cool-looking young woman. This type of girl made one really want to win her over.

Yusei started drawing. With the Sharingan's ability, the process was incredibly smooth, so much so that the cameraman watching them from behind was somewhat stunned, wondering if he was filming the wrong person? Was he filming the manga master?

However, Yusei felt something was off because as he drew, it seemed like he was drawing someone else.

Exquisite features, black, smooth shoulder-length hair, a full figure, long, shapely legs.

Since the original was a girl in a kimono, the character under Yusei's brush was also in kimono attire.

But even so, viewers could tell that the young man wasn't drawing the character provided by the manga master, but one from his own imagination.

The only things that matched were the clothing and environment of the character provided for copying.

And Utaha, watching from below, went from stunned, surprised, and shocked at the character taking shape under Yusei's brush to eventually... playful and embarrassed and angry.

'He was clearly drawing me! But... but wasn't the neckline of the kimono drawn far too open!'
