Chapter 81 - Important notice about KHM

I read a comment earlier and realized that I never really made this clear to all readers, so I feel that now is the right moment to explain things calmly and transparently.

One of the main characteristics of this fic—aside from the obvious fact that its author (me) is a complete idiot who often writes without fully knowing what the hell he's doing—is that it is not, and never intended to be, 100% original. Longtime readers have probably known this for quite some time. This current version of the story is directly based on a previous version, Multiverse Login System, which itself was inspired by a Chinese web novel.

In other words, from the very beginning, this story was born from inspiration, adaptation, and reinterpretation—not from a completely isolated creation out of nothing.

Another important premise of the fic, which I honestly don't remember if I've ever explained openly before, is precisely the adaptation of arcs. No, the arcs that take place in other worlds are not entirely original. They are based on arcs from other Chinese web novels. A clear example of this is the NieR: Automata arc, which was adapted from the arc of another Chinese fic whose name, honestly, I can't even remember anymore.

Before anyone gets the wrong idea, I need to make one thing very clear: I can write completely original arcs. That's not the issue.

The real problem is that I suffer very quickly from something called creative block.

Normally, I can write around five or six chapters without any difficulty at all. But after that—even with planning, notes, ideas, and a clear direction—everything just freezes. The story doesn't move forward. Scenes stop fitting together. Each chapter turns into an absurd struggle just to get it onto the page.

That is exactly why I adapt the missing parts. I use other, very little-known Chinese web novels as a base—really little-known ones. To give a concrete example: the fic from which I adapted part of the NieR: Automata arc had an extremely low rating, something between 2 and 3, if I remember correctly. These are not famous works, nor popular or widely recognized stories.

I use these sources as structure, not as direct copies.

I fully understand that this may disappoint some people. Truly. If anyone expected something completely original from beginning to end, without any external influence, I sincerely apologize for not making this clearer before.

But this is the reality of the story I write today.

Maybe, in the near future, I'll be able to write something entirely and 100% my own, without needing any external support or adaptations. I genuinely hope that happens. Until then, this fic remains what it has always been: a strange mix of inspiration, adaptation, improvisation, many mistakes, some successes… and a strong desire to keep writing, despite everything.
