Chapter 33 - Chapter 33 You can really come here often to eat

Ning Rongrong gave her all in the kitchen.

With a graceful turn, she exclaimed, "Oh dear! I accidentally bumped into Jiang Yunzhou."

Then, in a flurry, she added, "Oh no! I accidentally knocked over the bowl of clear water next to me, and the water splashed right onto Jiang Yunzhou's clothes."

"I'm so sorry, Teacher! Let me wipe it for you!"

She immediately pulled out a small handkerchief and took the opportunity to reach for Jiang Yunzhou's abdomen.

Abs! Here I come!

She had practiced this smooth 'faking a collision + taking advantage' combo in her mind all night!

Xiao Wu, left alone, looked at the kitchen, which had suddenly become crowded and lively, filled with a chaotic yet strangely harmonious scene. A strong sense of wanting to participate suddenly arose in her heart.

"Maybe, I, I can go see if I can help with anything?"

She whispered, but her feet involuntarily followed, leaning against the kitchen doorway, a little envious, but also feeling like there was no room for her to step in.

Ning Rongrong tried several times to 'accidentally' spill water on Jiang Yunzhou, but he seemed to have eyes in the back of his head, always subtly and precisely avoiding it.

Ning Rongrong stomped her foot in frustration, her plans repeatedly thwarted.

After being 'accidentally' bumped once, Jiang Yunzhou completely saw through the little girl's schemes.

With his agility, she thought she could touch him?

Unless he willingly allowed it, she wouldn't even be able to touch the hem of his clothes.

It was Zhu Zhuqing who was the most honest, silently chopping vegetables while coldly watching Ning Rongrong's antics.

She didn't speak, but she swung the cleaver with resounding thuds, the sound of chopping vegetables suddenly increasing severalfold, expressing her inner dissatisfaction in this way, her teeth clenched tightly.

It wasn't that she hadn't thought of imitating her, but she ultimately gave up.

There was no way; her thick skin simply couldn't compare to Ning Rongrong's!

Amidst the chaos and clanging knives, four dishes and one soup finally emerged from the kitchen.

The chaos came from Ning Rongrong, and the clanging knives came from Zhu Zhuqing.

A rich aroma instantly filled the air, making Xiao Wu swallow involuntarily. Just smelling it made her appetite soar.

Zhu Zhuqing and Ning Rongrong had already experienced their teacher's cooking. They had already served themselves rice and were ready to dig in.

"Xiao Wu, why are you spacing out?"

Ning Rongrong, with a mouthful of rice, called out indistinctly, "Go get some rice! What, aren't you hungry?"

Xiao Wu was momentarily speechless.

How could she not be hungry? She was simply too embarrassed! She wasn't made of iron!

Jiang Yunzhou saw Xiao Wu's awkwardness. To successfully win her over, he acted exceptionally thoughtful, proactively serving a full bowl of rice and handing it to her.

"Here, I've served it for you. Sit down and eat."

This small gesture nearly brought Xiao Wu to tears.

This feeling of being carefully looked after, of being valued... truly, she could cry!

"Th-thank you!" Her voice was a little choked.

Jiang Yunzhou waved his hand casually: "What's with the politeness? Come over whenever you want to eat in the future, it's all-you-can-eat!"

Xiao Wu's eyes reddened again.

It seemed Ning Rongrong was right, and Zhu Zhuqing was also right.

He truly was a good person!

Unbeknownst to him, Jiang Yunzhou received another 'good person' card.

Of course, the nature of this 'good person' card was not entirely pure.

Next to him, there was one whose desire to be a 'rebellious disciple' and constantly aiming to 'ascend' to the position of teacher's wife was clearly evident.

The other, though not as obvious, would secretly sulk when Ning Rongrong acted up.

Despite the bickering, a comfortable and warm atmosphere filled the room.

This atmosphere made Xiao Wu feel very relaxed and eager to blend in.

At the very least, she didn't have to worry about her secrets being exposed in front of this man.

"How is it? Doesn't it taste good?" Jiang Yunzhou asked with a smile.

Xiao Wu nodded vigorously, her eyes sparkling: "It's super delicious! Can I really come here often for free meals in the future?"

"Of course, you're always welcome."

After a whirlwind meal, the plates and bowls were all empty.

Delicious and nutritious food, even when one's stomach was full, always made one struggle to eat a couple more bites.

It was clear that these three had the potential to become seasoned foodies.

The difference between an ordinary person and a foodie is: an ordinary person is full after two bites, while a foodie can still eat two more bites after being full.

The scene just now was the perfect illustration.

After eating, Xiao Wu carried the package with her new clothes and treasures back to Shrek Academy.

Seeing Xiao Wu's beaming face, the originally lifeless Tang Shan immediately hurried to meet her.

But when he saw the beautifully packaged shopping bag in Xiao Wu's hand, his brows immediately furrowed.

"Xiao Wu, why did you buy so many things?"

His tone carried both reproach and a hint of sourness, "How much did all this cost?"

Xiao Wu tilted her head and thought for a moment. These were all high-end items chosen by Ning Rongrong.

Without much thought, she honestly replied: "Hmm, all these together probably cost about two or three hundred gold coins."

"Two or three hundred gold coins?"

Tang Shan was greatly shocked by the news, his voice rising by eight octaves, "How could you spend so many gold coins just on these clothes?"

He wasn't in the Hidden Weapons business yet, and his life was still quite tight.

Two or three hundred gold coins was indeed a huge sum for them.

He then began to lecture: "Where did you get so many gold coins?"

Suddenly remembering what Ning Rongrong had said before she left, he quickly added: "Even if someone gave them to you, won't you have to return the favor later?"

Xiao Wu's good mood suddenly vanished. She felt that Tang Shan was meddling a bit too much. Even if she had to return the favor later, it was her own business, wasn't it?

Why was he getting so agitated? Was he really so against her having a few more pretty clothes?

She inexplicably recalled Ning Rongrong's brainwashing words.

He didn't understand the situation at all, and his first reaction was to blame her for spending too much money?

These things were forced upon her by Ning Rongrong; she had originally refused.

However, Ning Rongrong had simply said lightly: if she didn't accept them, she would just throw them away. She never took back things she had given away.

What could she do? Should she really throw them away just to save face?

Sorry, that wasn't Xiao Wu's personality.

Besides, she wasn't the only one who received gifts; Zhu Zhuqing also received equivalent items, and she accepted them as well.

Ning Rongrong's identity was that of a Sect princess, with millions in pocket money. She didn't care about two or three hundred gold coins, okay?

Just for Zhu Zhuqing helping with cleaning, she casually threw out a hundred gold coins. What would Tang Shan think if he knew about such things?

She suddenly felt a wave of weariness, too lazy to explain much, and had no intention of telling him Ning Rongrong's identity.

He didn't understand her, nor did he understand the simple friendship between girls where 'I like you, so I'm happy to buy you things'.
