Damon and Tang Yue finally arrived at the city. Looking at its state, they were both shocked.

The blood alert had been issued. People were evacuating as mages struggled to defend against swarms of minion-class magic beasts. The whole city was in chaos. Groups of minion-class monsters breached the defense lines, wreaking havoc as they dived to hunt the infected humans.

"What's going on?" Tang Yue muttered, her beautiful eyes widening in shock as she covered her mouth.

Damon didn't say anything. In his mind, he knew this was part of the plot—it was bound to happen—but not this soon! He also knew that knowledge of the plot wasn't much help in this twisted timeline. Still, the sudden attack caught him off guard.

'Forget the plot for now. Let's fix this first.'

The situation was dire. He could've taken precautions earlier had he shared his knowledge, but he never planned to. He had no intention of mentioning his past life or plot knowledge to anyone—not even Mu Nujiao. His identity as a reincarnator and his knowledge of the future would remain locked within his mind, no matter what.

The situation was bad. All the Advanced Mages were stationed at the fortress, leaving the Intermediate Ranks to deal with the 'small fry'—a task too overwhelming even for dozens combined.

"Fucking hell…" Damon muttered as they dropped from the sky and landed on the ground. Tang Yue's gaze turned sharp as she quickly composed herself.

She observed calmly as the Intermediate Mages fought to hold the line against the White Magic Falcons attacking the perimeter. Meanwhile, Novice Mages escorted groups of citizens, carrying the sick and infected on their backs.

"There are too many of them!" shouted a man at the third level of Intermediate Magic as he cast a spell, his unique blue flames burning through a group of minions.

"Fuck, it's like there's no end!" he cursed, panting as hundreds of beasts were burned, yet the sky remained filled with more waiting to strike. "I can't even use magic equipment against them!" Dongfang Ming shouted in frustration.

"Caw!"

Suddenly, the falcons circling above stopped attacking and shifted their gaze toward two trembling children hiding near the trash cans, their bodies covered in red markings.

"Caw!" One of the falcons spotted its prey and dove down with terrifying speed.

"Not good!" Dongfang Ming's expression twisted as he cast a novice-tier spell to get its attention, but the falcon was far too fast.

Tang Yue, watching from above, narrowed her gaze and prepared to step in—but before she could act, Damon had already leapt from the rooftop.

The ground beneath him cracked as a crater formed where he stood. He lunged forward with inhuman speed, each step shattering the pavement beneath him. Leaping high into the air, he reached the children just as the falcon was about to strike. With overwhelming momentum, he speared straight into the beast.

Boom!

The bird crashed into a nearby building, walls collapsing from the impact. Damon rolled across the debris but quickly got to his feet. His strength was monstrous, but his skin was still human—cuts and bruises appeared only to heal instantly thanks to his regeneration.

"Caw!"

The falcon, monstrous as ever, broke free from the rubble, its wings spreading as it shrieked in fury. Its rage-filled eyes locked onto Damon as it dove once more.

"Fucking chicken!" Damon growled, drawing his signature claymore from his inventory. Leaping forward, he met the diving falcon head-on. His blade, sharp enough to slice through a warrior-class beast, cleaved clean through its neck.

Not stopping there, Damon sprinted toward a nearby building, jumping onto the first floor before leaping skyward with all his strength. Rising higher than the beasts, he swung his sword midair, cleaving another falcon as he ascended.

His wings unfurled mid-motion as he steadied himself in the air. A golden aura of light radiated from him as he cast level 4 Light Element Intermediate Magic.

Light Blessing: Shield Knight!

A sphere of golden energy enveloped his body as the silhouette of a massive knight appeared behind him, shielding Damon with a giant barrier.

The warrior's eyes glowed with golden fire as the beasts in the vicinity froze in terror, unable to even attack.

This was the level 4 spell Damon had obtained after upgrading all 49 of his Light Element Stars. The Shield Guard of Light protected him from external attacks while casting fear and paralysis upon nearby enemies.

Inside the golden dome, Damon began constructing his Star Constellation. Seven burning Star Patterns took shape, connected by brilliant fiery lines that made him look like a man standing in a burning galaxy.

Star Constellation!

It was constructed from seven Star Patterns, connected by forty-nine Star Orbits, lit by three hundred and forty-three Fire Element Stars.

The stars were densely packed together, each shining like a fiery gem.

The Star Orbits intertwined intricately, connecting the Star Patterns in a mysterious and ancient formation.

At last, the Star Constellation was complete, radiating a formidable aura that carried the vast potential hidden within the human soul.

"Rose Flame! Sky Flame Funeral: Blazing Rain!"

His eyes burned like twin infernos as he raised his constructed Star Constellation. The light of the constellation transformed into roaring flames in his palms.

An enormous fireball formed between his hands, its radiance reflecting across the battlefield. As he thrust it upward, the blazing mass soared into the sky, resembling a dazzling firework from afar.

However, unlike fireworks in a festival, this was the nightmarish funeral of magical creatures. The flame exploded at its peak, expanding into a massive burning cloud that set the heavens ablaze.

"Fall!"

Tilting his head back, Damon stared into the inferno above and commanded the rolling flames to descend.

A huge fireball fell from the sky. The creatures reacted quickly, trying to dodge—but there was no escape from the grand spell. Fire rained from the burning clouds, silent at first, then exploding violently with each impact.

The sky burned as the ground below turned into an ocean of flames. Screeches echoed as the flaming birds fell from the sky.

A funeral of fire descended upon the city.

Standing amidst the inferno, Damon continued channeling immense flames into the heavens. The burning clouds raged on, unyielding as the rain of fire devoured everything.

The Sky Flame Funeral engulfed a vast area. All the minions—and even commander-level beasts that had infiltrated the city—were caught in the flames. The mages below moved swiftly, rescuing the children while retreating behind their shields, watching in awe as Damon stood amidst the Rose Flames like an angel of fire.

The minions in this part of the city were dealt with. Devouring their remnants, Damon absorbed their magic to replenish his energy before landing back on the ground.

"Damon! Lingling's calling! Mo Fan is back with the Red Falcon Herbs!"
