DRAVEN'S POV.
She blinked. "I wasn't scared."
"I was," I admitted.
The truth scraped out of me, trembling.
"Selin…I don't think you understand how dangerous this is for me."
A bitter laugh escaped. "How dangerous you are for me."
She took a small step toward me. I stepped back immediately.
Her brows knitted. "You're doing it again."
"I have to." My voice shook with something close to fear. "Because if I touch you again—"
My gaze dropped to her mouth.
"—I won't stop."
Silence fell heavy.
She took in a slow breath. "You didn't hurt me."
"That's not the point." I said.
"Then what is?"
"You don't know what I want from you," I whispered, my voice hoarse. "You don't know how hard it is to hold back. Every time you're near me, it feels like I'm fighting myself not to—"
I cut myself off, jaw clenching.
Selin's voice was barely a breath. "Not to what?"
Not to pin you to that wall again.
Not to kiss you until you forget your own name.
