Chapter 25 - Chapter 25

The car rolled smoothly along the broad avenue, sunlight dancing across the tinted windows. Inside, Su Ning leaned back elegantly, her new phone resting in her palm.

‎In the car, Chen Anya turned to Su Ning in concern.

‎"Ningning, are you alright?, those people are unbelievable"

‎"Don't worry about unimportant people" Su Ning responded, smiling slightly.

‎A sharp ring broke the silence.

‎Su Ning's eyes narrowed slightly, it was an unfamiliar number. She accepted the call with effortless grace.

‎"Am I...speaking with Miss Su?" Zhao Qi's voice was careful, reverent, almost trembling as if speaking to royalty.

‎"Yes" Su Ning answered calmly, her tone soft yet carrying the weight of inevitability.

‎A breath of relief came from the other end, followed by a respectful chuckle. "This is Zhao Qi, Director of Zongsheng Medical Centre, in the Capital."

‎"I humbly ask, when will Miss Su grace the hospital with your presence? The entire board wishes to welcome you."

‎Su Ning's gaze flicked outside the window, where students in uniforms laughed and ran across the sidewalks. Her lips curled slightly.

‎"I will stop by tomorrow," she said lightly, as if she was discussing something trivial.

‎"Tomorrow?" Zhao Qi's voice carried both shock and joy. "Then… are there any special arrangements you wish to be made for your arrival?"

‎"Prepare a car at the airport," Su Ning replied simply.

‎"Yes, yes! Consider it done, Miss Su! I will personally be there to welcome you." Zhao Qi's voice turned fervent. "It will be the hospital's greatest honor."

‎Su Ning ended the call without another word.

‎Her phone barely had time to settle before another call buzzed in—another unfamiliar number.

‎"May I ask if I'm speaking with Miss Su?" Yang Feng's voice was polite but tinged with nervousness. "This is Yang Feng of Shennan Real Estates. Forgive me for disturbing your time."

‎"Yes," Su Ning affirmed once more.

‎Immediately, Yang Feng's tone shifted into reverence. "It is our fortune. May I know when Miss Su will be visiting the company headquarters? The board of directors are all ready to greet you at a moment's notice."

‎"I will come right away." Su Ning's voice was like a gentle ripple on a deadly calm lake.

‎The line went silent for half a second before Yang Feng stammered in delight, "At once! I will have the reception hall cleared for your arrival. We await your presence, Miss Su."

‎The call ended.

‎Chen Anya, sitting beside her, blinked in confusion

‎"Su Ning, are you going somewhere?"

‎Su Ning nodded her head. "I have something to do. Uncle Li, please drop Anya home."

‎The driver turned respectfully. "Yes, Miss Su."

‎Chen Anya frowned. "But—"

‎By the time she turned back, Su Ning had already slipped out of the car, her figure disappearing into the bustling streets.

‎"Ningning!" Chen Anya called after her, but her voice was swallowed by the traffic.

‎Su Ning raised her hand and flagged a taxi. The plain yellow cab stopped, completely unaware that the young woman stepping in was the new controlling shareholder of the largest real estate empire in the region.

‎"Shennan Real Estates Headquarters," Su Ning instructed.

‎The driver blinked at the destination and whistled softly. "That's some place, young lady."

‎Su Ning only smiled faintly and leaned back, playing with her phone.

‎While the world thought of her as just a beautiful student, bullied and mocked days ago—she now held the power to summon tycoons, shake boards, and command wealth with a single word.

‎Back at the school, the atmosphere was heavy.

‎Inside the principal's office, the entire management team of the prestigious First City High School had gathered. Tension thickened the air like a storm cloud.

‎Principal Di Fulin stood at the head of the table, his stern gaze sweeping over the staff.

‎"The expulsion of Shen Luoluo and Shen Mixi must take effect immediately," he declared. His tone was cold, sharp, brooking no argument.

‎The room stirred with murmurs.

‎"But Principal," one vice-principal began hesitantly, "the Shen families are long-time donors. Removing them from our donor list will cause financial instability—"

‎"I agree," another chimed in. "The Shens are influential. Are we not escalating this too rashly?"

‎Di Fulin's expression darkened. He slammed his palm on the table, making the staff flinch. "Do you know who their daughters offended?"

‎The room fell silent.

‎He leaned forward, his voice dropping low and deadly. "The person they offended is a black card holder."

‎The words struck like thunder. For a moment, everyone froze, then their faces drained of color.

‎A black card holder… such people stood at the very apex of society. Even the richest tycoons treated them with deference. To offend one was to court destruction not just for oneself, but for generations.

‎Cold sweat trickled down the backs of the administrators. Their earlier objections evaporated like smoke.

‎"We… we understand, Principal," one whispered shakily.

‎"Yes, yes, the expulsion must be carried out without delay!" another agreed hurriedly.

‎Di Fulin nodded grimly. "Good. Draft the documents. By tomorrow, Shen Luoluo and Shen Mixi will be removed. Their families will also be erased from our donor lists. This is non-negotiable."

‎Meanwhile, at the Shen residence, chaos reigned.

‎Shen Luoluo screamed and threw porcelain vases to the floor, shards scattering like glittering snow.

‎"Expel Su Ning, that bitch! I don't care how, just expel her!" she shrieked, her face red with fury. "How dare that slut make a fool of me!"

‎Her mother, Madam Shen, fussed at her side, her expression equally livid. "Yes, Zong! You're her father, aren't you? Call the school! Demand the principal's removal! You know the Minister of Education, don't you? Use your connections!"

‎Shen Zong, the patriarch, frowned heavily, his hands clenched at his sides. Rage simmered in his chest, his pride wounded. Finally, he nodded sharply.

‎"Fine. I'll speak to the minister myself."

‎At the Shen Mixi household, the atmosphere was different.

‎Mixi locked herself in her room, her face pale and her body trembling. She refused food, her eyes glassy with dread.

‎Her mother, frantic with worry, called Shen Zong.

‎"Brother, what's happening? Why is Mixi like this? She won't come out!"

‎On the phone, Shen Zong sighed heavily, recounting the humiliation at school. "Don't worry. I'll handle it. I'll speak to the Minister of Education myself. This matter will be settled."

‎His sister exhaled in relief. "Then we'll leave it to you, Brother."

‎Back at the school, Principal Di had finished the staff meeting. Alone in his office, he dialed a number with a grim expression.

‎The line connected quickly.

‎"Minister, this is Di Fulin. I must report something urgent…"

‎He spoke carefully, explaining the matter to him.

‎On the other end, the Minister of Education's tone shifted instantly. "What?! The Shen family offended that person?"

‎"Yes, Minister."

‎The minister cursed explosively. "Fools! Utter fools!"

‎Just then, another call came through—Shen Zong.

‎The minister picked it up, his voice thundering with fury.

‎"Shen Zong! You dare bother me over your spoiled daughter? Do you even realize who you've offended?!"

‎Shen Zong froze, stunned.

‎The minister continued, his voice like a whip, "I order you to withdraw your daughter and her cousin from that school immediately! Do not let them show their faces again. And if you dare cause trouble, I'll make sure the Shen family vanishes from City F overnight!"

‎And with that, he slammed the call shut.

‎Shen Zong stood in his study, phone trembling in his grip, his mind blank with disbelief.

‎The mighty Shen family, reduced to nothing more than trembling ants under the shadow of a girl they once bullied.
