In her lavish bedroom, Shen Luoluo lay sprawled across a silk-covered bed, her face twisted with fury. Crystal chandeliers cast glittering light across the room, bouncing off her freshly manicured nails. She lifted her hand, admiring the glossy tips that gleamed like little gems under the light. For a moment, her rage dulled—until Su Ning's face flashed in her mind.
Her smile vanished.
She grabbed her phone, its diamond-studded case flashing as she dialed Shen Mixi.
"Mixi," Shen Luoluo hissed the moment her friend answered, "did you see what happened today? That bitch—Su Ning—dared to humiliate us in front of everyone. I, Shen Luoluo! will never forgive her for this."
On the other end, Shen Mixi's laughter was sharp and mocking. "Of course I did. Who would've thought she'd dare raise her head? Don't worry, Luoluo. Tomorrow, we'll remind her of her place. Let's go to that pathetic little shack she calls home and strip away that arrogance."
A cruel smile tugged at Shen Luoluo's lips. "Yes… exactly. She thinks just because she suddenly has some money, she can look down on us? I'll crush her spirit until she crawls back to being nothing but my plaything."
Shen Mixi knew how vengeful her cousin was.
The two continued to scheme, their voices dripping with venom. Shen Luoluo's anger slowly twisted into anticipation, her heart racing with the thought of Su Ning's terrified face.
Then, as if the darkness of her heart wasn't enough, Shen Luoluo suddenly brightened, changing the subject with a shallow laugh. "By the way, Mixi, I saw a new dress online today. Limited edition, only three in the whole country. Five hundred thousand yuan. I'll have it by tomorrow."
Mixi snorted playfully. "Ha! That's nothing. My father just bought me the newest diamond-studded heels from Paris. Everyone will envy me when I wear them to school."
The two girls chattered on, boasting and competing, their laughter sweet but laced with poison.
When the call finally ended, Shen Luoluo tossed her phone onto the bed and stared at the ceiling. But her smile didn't last long. The anger returned like a storm.
Her hands clenched into fists, perfectly polished nails digging into her palms.
'Su Ning… how dare you change? How dare you challenge me?'
Her chest rose and fell sharply. The thought of Su Ning's calm, defiant smirk from earlier gnawed at her pride like acid.
"No…" she muttered through gritted teeth. "Tomorrow, I'll remind you who you really are. You'll never escape from me."
With that venomous vow, Shen Luoluo turned on her side, restless, her heart pounding with obsession.
Outside her luxurious windows, the city glittered under the night sky. But in her heart, a storm was brewing.
