Chapter 71 - Chapter 71

After sharing a cozy breakfast with Sakurajima Mai, Ryuichi saw her off as she got into her car for work. Only once she'd disappeared down the street did he activate his teleportation circle and return home.

The familiar hum of magic faded, and he blinked—only to see two beautiful girls sprawled comfortably across his bed.

Rias Gremory and Asia Argento.

…Again?

He sighed quietly. Rias was one thing—she had long since made a habit of sneaking into his room for late-night "visits." But Asia too? That was new… and a little concerning.

Shaking his head helplessly, Ryuichi stepped closer and gently pulled the blanket up over their bare shoulders.

Of course, the moment he did, Rias stirred. Her crimson lashes fluttered open, and she gave a sleepy little pout.

"You didn't come home last night," she murmured with mock irritation.

"I was with my girlfriend," Ryuichi replied simply, brushing a strand of her fiery red hair away from her lips.

His blunt honesty made Rias huff in frustration.

"How careless of me… at this rate, that human girl's going to steal my adorable servant right out from under me."

Her blue eyes sharpened with teasing command.

"Next time, you're taking me with you. Understood?"

Ryuichi gave her a half-smile.

"If I take you, Asia will insist on coming too. Four people in one bed sounds… a little cramped, don't you think?"

"You're my servant, Ryuichi," she said smugly, sitting up. "It's your duty to prioritize your master's needs."

The blanket slipped from her shoulders, revealing the soft curves of her pale skin.

Ryuichi sighed under his breath.

"You managed just fine sleeping alone before you rescued me, didn't you?"

"Hehe, that was before I learned how comfortable it feels when you hold me. Now I can't fall asleep unless I'm surrounded by your scent."

She flicked her long crimson hair over her shoulder and gave him that knowing, teasing smile.

"What's the matter? Don't tell me you don't like my body?"

"I do," Ryuichi answered without hesitation.

"Then what's there to refuse?" she purred. "You're the only one I spoil like this, you know."

"I'm honored," he said dryly—right before she leaned forward and caught his lips in a deep kiss.

That, of course, was the exact moment Asia decided to wake up.

"Ryuichi, you're being unfair again," she mumbled, puffing her cheeks. "You always kiss the President and never me…"

Ryuichi blinked once, then gave in to the inevitable. He leaned over and kissed Asia too—gentle but firm enough to make the poor nun's face turn crimson and her head spin.

Afterward, he got dressed and began his usual morning workout. Routine was important to him; no matter how wild his days got, training was non-negotiable.

Sometimes Rias and Asia would join in, though their "help" was more moral support than exercise. Still, watching the two of them in tight tracksuits was… not exactly unpleasant.

"So, what's your schedule today?" Rias asked, perched atop his back as he performed push-ups—she had decided to act as extra weight.

"I'm visiting a few new contractors to help them with their studies," Ryuichi said steadily, his voice calm even as he continued flawless repetitions.

Even with Rias increasing her weight through magic, his pace never faltered. She couldn't help but look impressed.

"Alright then," she said at last, smiling faintly. "Do your best."

"Always."

Once his workout was finished, Ryuichi showered and checked the time. Eight o'clock sharp. Perfect.

He grabbed the textbooks he had prepared the day before, said goodbye to Rias and Asia, and activated his teleportation circle once more.

Light flared beneath his feet, and in the blink of an eye, the scene changed.

He now stood inside the living room of the Nakano household—the home of the quintuplets.

The house was quiet. Not a sound of movement anywhere downstairs. But from the second floor, he could sense the faint presence of several people still in their rooms.

Still asleep…?

It was already eight.

Ryuichi had long since trained himself to rise with the sun. Sleeping in wasn't a luxury he often allowed himself, though he could appreciate the appeal.

He was about to head upstairs to knock when—

Click.

One of the bedroom doors on the second floor opened, and a girl in cute pajamas stepped out, rubbing her eyes.

When she spotted him standing below in the living room, she blinked in surprise.

"Huh? Ryuichi? What are you doing here so early?"

Ryuichi tilted his head, examining her face.

Short hair that reached just to her chin… no black ribbon, no headphones, no hairband, no decorative clip…

Ah. Trouble.

His mind went blank.

Okay, so she's definitely not Ichika… but which one is she?

He squinted slightly.

"Hmm… May?" he guessed, his tone uncertain.

The girl puffed her cheeks.

"Eh? I'm Yotsuba!"

"Ah—sorry. Good morning, Yotsuba. I just got here."

As he spoke, his gaze carefully traced her features, trying to memorize something distinct to tell her apart from her sisters. But, as he would soon discover… that effort was pointless.

"Mmm… Yotsuba, who's out there…?"

More sleepy voices echoed from the rooms, followed by the creak of doors opening one after another.

Three more girls appeared in the hallway—each wearing a different color of nightdress, hair down, identical in face and form to Yotsuba.

Ryuichi's eye twitched.

Completely identical. Not a single distinguishing feature between them.

And to make matters worse, all five had magical contracts with him, so their auras felt nearly identical too.

Fantastic. I'm officially face-blind.

He cleared his throat.

"Good morning… Nino, Miku, May."

All three froze mid-step—then squeaked and covered their chests in embarrassment.

Their nightgowns, as it turned out, were all thin-strapped and rather revealing.

"Wha—Why are you even here, you pervert?!"

That angry tone—definitely Nino.

"W-Wolf…" muttered another voice shyly under her breath.

Yep, that was Miku.

"Good grief, I haven't even changed yet…"

And that calm sigh? Only May could sound that composed in chaos.

Ryuichi sighed internally.

So this is my life now—playing 'guess the quintuplet' first thing in the morning.

The girls scrambled back into their rooms, doors slamming in unison as they went to change.

Only Yotsuba lingered, smiling helplessly down the stairs at him.

"Ichika's still asleep," she said cheerfully. "Her room's the one at the end of the hall. Let's go wake her up."

Ryuichi adjusted the stack of textbooks in his arms and nodded.

"Alright."

But before they reached the door, Yotsuba suddenly stopped and turned, looking a little sheepish.

"Um… before you go in, don't be too surprised, okay?"

Ryuichi blinked. "Why would I—?"

Before he could finish, Yotsuba pushed open Ichika's bedroom door.

And whatever he saw inside… froze him in place.
