Chapter 58 - Chapter 58

The sudden burst of the anti-magic field completely shattered the rhythm of the three Fallen Angels' assault.

All at once, they felt the divine power within their bodies turn sluggish—

as heavy and viscous as mercury.

Their wings faltered.

Their bodies dropped uncontrollably toward the ground.

Even as they fell, Ryuichi's silver talisman—the Seal of Demonic Suppression—flashed through the air with lightning speed.

Pop! Pop! Pop!

Three crisp impacts in succession—

and each of the Fallen Angels found a glowing crimson mark stamped onto her thigh like a divine "signature."

Zzztt! Zzztt! Zzztt!

The shock of the sealing triggered a surge of power that ripped through their clothing—

and in an instant, the three women were left gasping, their battle garments shredded by the backlash of energy.

A faint, glowing kanji—「正」, the symbol of sealing—shone vividly against their bare skin.

The forbidden field combined with the seal was a perfect kill combo.

Their divine power was instantly cut off—

all three rendered helpless.

That was the moment Ryuichi had been waiting for.

The King's Blade erupted in dazzling light, demonic power surging through its edge like wildfire.

He raised it high—then swung down in a sweeping arc that blazed with destructive brilliance.

"AAAHHH!!"

Caught completely off guard, the three Fallen Angels screamed in terror.

Even under the suppressive force of the anti-magic field, they struggled desperately to block.

But it was useless.

Blood burst from their lips in unison as the sword's power struck them full-on.

Their bodies trembled uncontrollably, the impact stripping away what little remained of their tattered clothing, streaks of crimson blooming across their skin.

In the end, even those last scraps disintegrated into ash.

They were left trembling, bloodied, barely clinging to consciousness—

relying on sheer physical endurance to withstand the Devil's onslaught.

But how could mere flesh stand against that?

Ryuichi's dark eyes were cold, unflinching.

He poured even more demonic energy into his blade, the sword's glow swelling to blinding intensity.

The three Fallen Angels screamed as they were blasted backward, crashing into the ground in a storm of blood and dust.

They lay motionless, their fate uncertain.

Without hesitation, Ryuichi dashed forward—

the silver sword in his hand pulsing with violent energy.

The killing intent pouring off him was suffocating.

He would strike while they were still unconscious—finish them here and now!

"DON'T YOU DARE!!"

The furious shout came from the remaining enemies—

two Super-Class Fallen Angels and one High-Class.

Shock and rage twisted their expressions.

The tide of battle had turned so suddenly that they hadn't even had time to react.

In mere moments, their three female comrades had been struck down.

Abandoning their fight with Rias and Akeno, they tried to rush forward to save them.

But that was the opening Rias and Akeno had been waiting for.

In perfect unison, the two women unleashed their full power.

They didn't need to kill—only to stop them.

A surge of crimson magic erupted from Rias, flames spiraling upward like raging dragons.

The heat was so intense that the leaves on the surrounding trees curled and began to smolder.

Akeno's soft smile vanished into battle focus.

Thunderclouds roared to life above the park, lightning flashing gold across the sky.

A massive bolt, thick as a tree trunk, ripped downward with a roar that shook the earth.

The male Fallen Angels' eyes widened in fear.

"Damn it—!"

They were forced onto the defensive, forming light shields to block the twin attacks.

Still, one of them managed to hurl spears of light toward Ryuichi, desperate to disrupt his killing blow.

But before they could recover, Rias's flames and Akeno's thunder swallowed them whole.

Boom! Crack!

Explosions tore through the night.

The three men were hurled back, faces pale, coughing blood as they crashed to the ground.

Rias's and Akeno's combined strike had landed perfectly.

And worse—Ryuichi had chosen that very moment to go all in.

Seeing the incoming light spears, he didn't dodge.

Instead, he raised the Divine Weep Shield in front of him, bracing himself to take the hits head-on.

He'd made up his mind—

even if it meant enduring all three attacks, he would kill the Fallen Angels before him.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Three explosions detonated across his shield, divine energy crashing like thunder.

Even with the barrier of Divine Weep, the force broke through partially, slamming into his body.

Ryuichi grunted, pain flashing through him as the impact numbed half his body.

His left arm—channeling power into the shield—felt like the bones inside had cracked.

But he had withstood it.

And now—

he struck.

The King's Blade fell once more, wrapped in pure demonic brilliance.

A wave of blinding energy swept across the battlefield, engulfing the three blood-soaked, naked Fallen Angels.

There wasn't even time for them to scream.

They disintegrated instantly—

their bodies dissolving into nothing but motes of light.

"Ahhh!!!"

Across the field, the three male Fallen Angels staggered out from the storm of fire and lightning, singed and battered.

And just in time—to see Ryuichi's final strike obliterate their comrades before their eyes.

"Damn it…! How—how is this possible!?"

They were in disbelief.

No matter how they looked at him, that Devil was just a Low-Class.

How could he have slain three High-Class Angels single-handedly!?

Even Rias and Akeno stared, wide-eyed.

They'd only meant for him to stall the enemy.

And he'd ended up annihilating them instead.

"…Cough."

The sound broke the stunned silence.

Ryuichi doubled over, spitting blood.

The price of his earlier recklessness was catching up to him.

His body was numb, his magic reserves almost completely drained.

He swayed unsteadily, barely able to stay upright.

"Ah—Ryuichi! Let me heal you!"

Asia's frightened voice rang out as she rushed toward him, panic written all over her face.

Ryuichi's vision was starting to blur.

But before Asia could reach him—

"Asia! Don't go!"

Koneko's sudden cry cut through the air, her tone sharp with alarm.

Ryuichi's head jerked up.

And then he saw it—

A figure lunging from the shadows at the edge of the battlefield, moving fast—

too fast.

Before anyone could react, a hand shot out and seized Asia by the throat.

"Kuh-hii~ Checkmate! The great me makes his move! Wahahaha!"

The voice was shrill, arrogant, dripping with insane glee.

Ryuichi and the others all frowned in unison.

That voice—they knew it.

The rogue exorcist priest.

"Freed…"

Ryuichi's voice was low and cold as he raised the King's Blade again.

Asia struggled weakly in the man's grip, her face twisted in pain.

"Heh! That's right, it's me, it's me!" Freed Selzen cackled, his grin manic. "Surprised? You didn't think I'd show up now, huh? Joke's on you—I've been here all along, waiting for this exact moment~!"

The sadistic priest's laughter grated in everyone's ears.

He'd been hiding nearby the whole time, waiting for both sides to exhaust themselves.

Now, as Ryuichi staggered from his wounds and Asia broke formation in worry, he struck.

And he'd succeeded—Asia was in his hands.

The sudden turn of events made Rias and Akeno's faces tighten.

The remaining Fallen Angels, meanwhile, exchanged stunned looks—then broke into elated grins.

"Freed, excellent work!"

They descended quickly, laughing triumphantly.

With their key target—Asia—captured, the balance of the battle shifted again.

But even as the enemy celebrated, Ryuichi turned his head slightly toward Rias, Akeno, and Koneko.

His lips barely moved.

They caught it instantly.

—All-out attack.
