Considering the precarious occasion, the townsfolk felt it would be a great idea to pay this tremendous amount of life-saving debt in such a small but complimentary way.
Therefore, Yoichi took all the gifts with a smile on his face and appreciated the positive presents without any complaints.
Even though the items were merely trinkets, ornaments, or foods, it's the thought that counts.
If life is so much harder for them, why should I even expect something hefty as a present for me?
The Land of Fire is abundant and arable indeed.
However, there are multiple problems here that are also a part of the feudal state's financial system which is comparable to the modern world.
Civilian taxes, land taxes, and multiple issues without even having the safety or proper protection in favor of the common people.
To a greater extent, the income tax of a shinobi including Yoichi's B-ranked mission had a 30% cut for the Land of Fire's revenue generation and funding.
If Yoichi completed the task, he would have 300,000 Ryō which would then be split into the different taxes, earning a total of 210,000.

In exactly 110 meters of perception, his acuteness became sharp and clear, almost fully accurate when it comes to intricate details of an individual or other observational objects in his field of intuition.
What a wonderful feeling... The rays of the morning sun, the refreshing scents of leaves with branches, and a metallic gleam of wires... Wait, wires?

The 4 inspectors' eyes turned into a pair of crimson and stopped in their tracks.
One of the inspectors saw the glossy sheen and looked towards Yoichi, blinking continuously in disbelief.

A roar shook the forest.

Soon, the birds were disturbed and ran away while the chill atmosphere turned into something solemn, heavy.
"The wires were carefully placed with such meticulousness that it meant somebody was waiting for us the moment we left the town!"
Yoichi mumbled as a pair of crimson glows gleamed within his eyes.
Hearing this, the 4 inspectors exchanged glances and readied themselves.
With 4 inspectors equivalent to Jōnin, the settings became palpable and tense, looking forward with hardened expressions written on their faces.

"Hah! Paltry attacks!"
The shadows beneath the trees tossed shurikens and kunai in an instant.
One of the silhouettes appeared to be weaving hand signs in succession.

The chirps of the small insects within the field continuously reverberated.

Due to the insects' interference, the inspectors were on the defensive with numerous signatures of Chakra swarming around the location, unable to distinguish the intangible one or a real shinobi.
2 adults with 6 adolescent shinobi! It appears that Danzo is truly prepared to dispatch me here!
Yoichi's eyes coldly glimmered.
The unity and organized attacks on their defensive measures were constantly chipping away at their stamina in the long run, patiently waiting for the right time to exploit any kind of weakness.
"Now's the time!" One of the inspectors yelled.
Being in a defensive position wasn't viable.
And it didn't take too long for them to decide.
With dexterous hands, 2 of the inspectors began to weave hand signs while the other 2 deflected kunai and numerous projectiles.
Mind Body Disturbance Jutsu!
A spiritual shock crept into their senses, flinching.
The spiritual wave made the other stop for a second until the inspectors gritted their teeth, completing the technique as an outcome.
"Yamanaka Clan! Take this!"
Fire Release: Mist Blaze Dance Jutsu!
Fire Release: Great Fireball Jutsu!
Soon, the potent great orb of conflagration and the kneaded gas spat out of their mouths, instantly incorporating each other with a magnitude of intense heat within the surrounding area.
"Come near me!"
The adult shinobi shouted and performed constant hand signs after slamming his hands to the floor.
The other shinobi retreated and went to the adult shinobi's location.
Earth Release: Rock Shelter!
In a rumbling sound, the earth shook within the forest.
The surrounding soil magically formed a dome of protection against the overwhelming fireball.
"I won't let you hide!"
Yoichi shouted, dashing with full force as his arm was arched backwards in a murderous intent.

Mountain Crushing Fist!
"Kid, don't—"
"Let him be. Now that this child is right, he must finish them ruthlessly!"
One of the inspectors wanted to stop Yoichi until a shout was heard from another inspector on the side.
Thanks to his unparalleled swiftness, he went past the overly enhanced fireball and landed on the dome, launching his fist without any hesitation.
*BANG!*
"AGGGHHGGHH!"
Phantom Steps!
The overwhelming fist devastated the dome along with its inhabitants, leaving large gaping holes in the dome and injuring some of the assailants.
After that, he utilized his unbounded quickness and rushed out as the irrepressible heat violently crept into his back.
"GET OUT! NOW!"
*Sshhwwoooosh!*
*BOOM!*
A furious destruction blazed forth with a bang.
2 adults shinobi alongside the 4 shinobi came out, injured. As for the 2 adolescent ones, the charred scent of human flesh assaulted Yoichi's smell and didn't even leave any remains, just darkened ashes.
"LEAVE NOW!" The adult shinobi commanded.
Along with the seriously injured shinobi, the foes left in an instant.
This fight made them very apprehensive about Yoichi's overpowered Taijutsu and his capabilities.
"Don't let them escape!" Yoichi shouted.
However, Yoichi along with the inspectors angrily chased them like a pack of wolves against a herd of injured lambs.
A thrill and adrenaline rushed through his veins.
Instead of being a mouse, Yoichi has been the cat in this relentless pursuit of vengeance.
Mind Body Confusion Jutsu!
The Yamanaka Shinobi performed a technique that shook the rest of the inspectors until they regained their strength back on the chase.
"That doesn't work on me!"
Yoichi sprinted through the trees and left the inspectors behind with his tenacious spirit.
Insect Rope Jutsu!
The insects that had been idle for a long time suddenly lunged at Yoichi's foot, wanting to disable him in the process of chasing them out.
