The conversation flowed warmly until every dish on the table was finished. The drowsiness and fatigue I'd been holding back finally took over, making my eyelids feel heavy. I excused myself to head upstairs and rest for a bit before the night's true main course.
Not long after, Gwenneth and Angeline also followed me upstairs.
