The harsh, cool wind blew against her tiny frame, as Yang Lixue walked briskly through the campus hallway.
Her cute, small face was set in an adorable frown, which made people stare at her in surprise as she made her way through, leaving them wondering why the beautiful lady was in such a sour mood.
' How dare that brat Xu Lian leave me to come to lectures all by myself? I'll get back at you, just wait and see!'
She kept scolding her best friend in her head,Today was the day lectures began and after highly anticipating the resumption, Xu Lian had suddenly decided this morning to go visit her parents who had been complaining for her to come home, they both had classes this morning, but Xu Lian was skipping today and planned to resume tomorrow.

Deciding to ease her nerves up a little, Yang Lixue walked into a small cafe right beside the hall leading to the lecture area.
The warm cafe air hit her as soon as she entered through the glass doors, a nice-looking worker stood at the counter smiling at the last customer.
'Good, she looks nice, I hope she doesn't mind reading my orders instead of me saying it.'
A sigh escaped her lips as she made her way over

She tiptoed to place her tablet on the counter, her big blue eyes staring back at the girl who looked at her curiously.
The waiter sent her a small nod and an okay sign.
Another customer came up next to Yang Lixue
"Hello, I want an iced vanilla latte, with extra cream please!"
As the lady prepared their order, the dark-haired girl turned towards Yang Lixue. Suddenly, she was astounded and then blinked her eyes in awe.
Yang Lixue's cheeks reddened at the girl's reaction. This was the kind of look she received from people who just met her and it wasn't surprising anymore, but what made her shy was that the lady in front of her was extremely beautiful.
She was tall, her fair skin tone glowed in the dim lights of the cafe, her eyes were grey and stormy like a cloudy sky, she had cat-like eyes, and her red lips were curled up in a mischievous yet beautiful smile.
She was effortlessly charming, and it was obvious she was well off judging from the expensive scent that wafted from her, the pink Chanel bag in her hand, and the LV vest she had on paired with dark leather pants.
She screamed lowkey luxury, and Yang Lixue was able to recognize these high-end brands because she was a recluse not an oblivious person. After all, she was also a girl.
Her eyes lowered to tap on the game she played on her phone while she waited for her order, when a voice came through her hearing aids faintly.
" Hi, I've been trying to get your attention, can you hear me ?"
Yang Lixue looked up surprised to see the girl now in front of her staring down at her with a small smile.
She offered one back, although it was reluctantly.
Yang Lixue shyly pointed to her ears so the girl could see that she didn't intentionally ignore her earlier.
A look of realization immediately crossed the girl's face and she brought out her phone to type on her notes app.
[ Hi, I'm Wang Lauren, sorry about that I didn't realize you couldn't hear me call out to you, I just wanted to tell you that you're very beautiful. ]
She passed the phone to Yang Lixue who read the message with a warm heart, her earlier anxiety about resuming classes alone wafting away.

Wang Lauren smiled her eyes curving like crescents at the message, ' who wouldn't feel very happy when a beautiful girl calls her pretty? '
Her eyes came back to stare at the girl in front of her, call it instinct but something drew her to the redhead and it's not just the girl's beauty there's something more…intriguing about her.
The barrister called out Yang Lixue's name along with Wang Lauren to receive their order, but the other girl didn't hear, Wang Lauren immediately collected their orders and paid for the lattes.
She gently tapped on Yang Lixue's shoulder to get her attention.
" Here, your drink. I already paid for it so don't worry ." The kind smile didn't leave her lips as she gently forced the cup into Yang Lixue's hand.
Yang Lixue read her mouth as Wang Lauren spoke and her eyes grew wide on hearing that the girl had paid for their drinks.
"Thank you very much ." She mouthed her fingers curling around the cup and she bowed a little in appreciation.
" Alright then, I'll see you around right?"
Yang Lixue nodded returning Wang Lauren's goodbye wave.
The girls parted ways as they left the cafe.
Wang Lauren suddenly turned around after walking a little distance,
' Shit Wang Lauren you could've at least asked for the cutie's number '
Her grey eyes glanced all around to search for the redhead, but given how tiny the girl was, it would be hard to find her among the sea of crowds.
'That's too bad, I didn't even ask for her department or anything I can use to find her again.' Her brows furrowed slightly as her thoughts grew
" It's crazy, I could have sworn I smelt his scent on her ."
Her fingers gently twirled around her hair as she mumbled to herself
Suddenly, the terrifying cold emerald eyes came to her mind, and Wang Lauren quickly shook her head.
" No, no way that scary lord would mark such an innocent and adorable girl, they are worlds apart!"
She shook her head again as if she were crazy for imagining such a union.
' Stop overthinking things that can never happen in this lifetime, Wang Lauren.'
