**CAITLIN**
Dominic and I were talking.
We were actually cuddled up in the middle of my bed having a conversation. He was lying on his back, staring at the ceiling, while I had my head on his chest with a leg draped over his. It felt more intimate than any of the times we fucked but I wasn't complaining. After two rounds I was drained and needed the rest. Dominic, on the other hand, could fuck for hours if I'd let him.
"Ma'am, are you blind? Of course they're fucking." Dominic laughed and his body shook slightly. I gasped and pinched his nipple. He winced and grabbed my hand, his large one covering mine completely. He surprised me by bringing it up to his lips and kissing it softly. My cheeks turned beet red and I pulled it away, hiding my face in his chest. That felt a bit too nice.
"What did he mean when he said I have to work for you? What would I have to do?" I asked curiously.
"Okay, listen." He sighed. "Yurik knew that I knew you, and he completely used that to his advantage to save Micah's ass."
"How did he know?"
"Yurik can find out anything about anything. Nothing surpasses him, but I'm convinced that my driver's car was traced back here. He found out who was at the bar and you, a stunning woman who just so happened to be the only one from this complex there that night. You and Micah have the same surname and he just knew. Yurik has fucking superpowers." He explained and his voice softened. I could tell that he loved his brother deeply.
"Such a coincidence," I whispered before pushing myself away from him to lie on my stomach. I rested my head in the palm of my hand, facing him.
"But you didn't answer my question. What would I have to do? It better not be me selling my pussy." I narrowed my eyes at him. The joke Yurik made was still lingering on my mind.
"Why would you even think that? I don't expect you to work for me. Micah can fix his mess himself." Dominic said before pulling me on top of him. Our naked bodies pressed together and I could feel his dick hanging down his inner thigh. "As long as you keep your pretty mouth shut about any of this, you're good." He muttered but I could hear the underlying threat in his voice and see it in his eyes. I was a risk and Dominic was making sure I wasn't going to run my mouth.
"I'm not going to," I assured. "Just keep your promise of not hurting Micah."
"And risk my brother killing me? I like sleeping peacefully at night." He chuckled and I caught myself smiling softly.
"Wait but," I adjusted myself on top of him to get more comfortable. "Working for you lowkey sounds exciting," I mumbled and watched his eyebrows shoot up. I couldn't believe what I was saying. I must have gone mad.
"A little vixen, I tell you." He shook his head. "This is a dangerous environment and once you're in, I don't think I'll let you go. You need to change your mind about that, angel." Dominic shut me down instantly and I looked at him with a blank face.
"Alright then," I muttered and let the subject go. It was insane anyway. Dominic was quiet for a short while before he sighed deeply.
"What do you do for a living?" He asked and my eyebrows scrunched together at the random question.
"Odd jobs. Right now I'm a freelance journalist." I shrugged. I disliked the job and the inconsistent income, but finding work was challenging due to my philosophy degree. I would forever have regrets about it and a shitload of student debt.
"Journalism? Is that something you like doing?" He asked and I felt him start to stroke my hair. We were cuddling like a couple, and it began to unnerve me, but I remained calm and composed.
"No but I don't really have a choice. The lights have to stay on." I murmured.
"So you're broke." He deadpanned and I removed my head from his chest to glare at him. He was blunt but it was also very true.
"Utterly fucked is a better way to put it but I'm doing okay right now. Kind of. Hey, maybe I should actually start to sell my nudes or pictures of my feet. Men live for that shit." I said nodding my head. Dominic chuckled.
"You know what, I will completely understand why. Money is essential." He said. I shifted my legs and I felt his dick rub against my thighs. Our stomachs were squashed together and I could feel him harden slightly. He ignored the look I gave him.
"It is." I agreed and pressed my lips into a tight line. Money was the reason why my father was no longer with us and I shook my head to get rid of the morbid thoughts. Dominic must have noticed the shift in my mood because he frowned at me but I spoke before he could say anything.
"So, Dominic," I smiled at him cheekily. "What do you do for a living?" He gave me a bored look, but I just bit my bottom lip, looking at him expectantly.
"You just told me you're a journalist and now you want to know everything I do. Angel, you guys are worse than the cops." He said, raising a brow, and my face dropped.
"Freelance." I corrected by lifting my pointer finger. "Also, why would I risk my whole life to snitch on you? That's a one-way ticket to heaven or hell."
"It's a one-way ticket to the bottom of a lake." He responded and my mouth dropped while my eyes widened.
"That sounds like way too much effort. I heard that the best way to dispose of a body is to drop it into molten metal.. No fuss and no mess." I said, grinning at him, and he looked at me weirdly before seemingly thinking about it. Finally, he nodded his head.
"That's actually brilliant. Nobody would ever find you. No body, no evidence." He muttered thoughtfully and I narrowed my eyes at him. Me?
"I will literally haunt you. Do not try me." I poked a finger into his chest, and he chuckled, grabbing my hand. He brought it up to his lips for a second time that evening, and once again, I blushed embarrassingly like a schoolgirl. I felt the urge to break the comforting atmosphere we have created and I couldn't fathom why.
"Okay fine, I won't." He said in annoyance, then rolled his eyes.
"Wow, thank you so much," I said sarcastically. Dominic's fingers started trailing down my spine until they landed right on the curve of my ass.
"You ready for round three?" He whispered and kissed me softly on the neck. I shivered when his tongue darted out to lick the skin. I definitely wanted another round but I doubt I could handle it. So I pushed myself off him and pressed my lips against his. He kissed me back with the same amount of urgency and palmed the back of my head.
"My pussy isn't but..." I said softly against his mouth and he pushed me away to look at me in confusion.
"Anal?"
I laughed and shook my head. "No you fucking idiot." I bent down to kiss his chest and started trailing wet kisses down his tattooed abs. He tensed underneath my touch before relaxing completely. My mouth watered at the thought of filling it up with him.
I looked up to meet his eyes, and the excited smile disappeared from his face as if trying to hide it, but I caught him, and I couldn't help but chuckle. The dick underneath me was now hard as a rock.
He groaned when I reached just below his belly button and I sensed that he was beginning to get fidgety and impatient. I wanted to tease him a little more.
"You're killing me, angel." He whined and buckled his hips. His open hands hovered over my head before they turned into clenched fists. Dominic was stopping himself from grabbing me and pushing me down.
I kissed both hipbones before wrapping my hand around him. My eyes widened when my fingers could barely touch. Was that inside of me?
"Handsome," I whispered against him. He really was.
I looked up at him and just as my mouth was about to wrap around the massive tip, a disturbing knock came from my front door. My lips pressed together and I frowned. I waited a while, hoping that whoever it was would go away, but the knocking only got gradually louder. Whoever that was was going to wake everyone up on the damn floor.
"Who the fuck..." I muttered before climbing off him. Dominic grabbed my hand, a similar frown on his features. He was irritated by the interruption and I could understand why.
"Are you expecting anybody?" He asked before getting up and pulling on his boxers. I shook my head no, but I had a feeling about who it was, and I swallowed hard. It better not be.
"Then I'll go check." He said but I grabbed his forearm.
"No!" I said and he looked at me weirdly. I sighed.
"It's probably Blake. He won't leave me alone, but stay here, and I'll get rid of him. Please." I begged and grabbed his hoodie to slip over my head. I wanted Blake to know I was currently fucking someone else, but not who, so he could finally get the hint to leave me alone. Since ending things with him, he has been constantly texting and calling, trying to get my attention.
"Your friend? Nice." He said, voice lacing with displeasure.
"Stay." I pointed a finger at him, and he raised his hands innocently and shrugged.. I eyed him warily before finally leaving my room and heading towards the persistent knocking.
I peeped through the hole in the door and there stood Blake, leaning both hands against the doorframe. As soon as I opened the door, he leaned in for a kiss and I backed away. He scowled at me in confusion but I looked at him unamused.
"I miss you, Lin." He mumbled and I could see the sincerity in his hazel eyes. My face twisted into disgust at the nickname I've always hated.
"It's two o'clock in the morning. Why are you here? Please leave." I asked and he pushed past me into my apartment. I took a deep breath so I wouldn't snap at him. His light brown hair was tousled into messy curls, and he wore his usual jeans and an olive green bomber jacket. He looked good but it suddenly didn't appeal to me anymore.
"Blake, you can't just show up here when you feel like it. Go home." I said exasperatedly throwing my hands up in the air. My eyes darted to my room's door, where Dominic was waiting, and I chewed on my lip nervously.
Blake looked me up and down before he narrowed his eyes at me. "Whose hoodie is that?"
"It's mine. Can you leave?" I walked behind him and started pushing his back towards the door. He stood still, not moving an inch. Of course, he didn't move; he was an ice hockey player. I pressed further into his hard back to no avail.
He turned around and I took a step back when I saw how angry he was. "Why the fuck have you been ignoring me?" He asked furiously. I glared at him.
He needed to leave.
"We." I gestured my hand between us. "Ended things."
"It wasn't a mutual decision." He argued and it wasn't a valid argument at all. He had agreed with me, but a day later, he decided it wasn't what he wanted anymore. Things didn't work like that.
"That doesn't matter."
"Why would you open the door if you didn't want me to stay, Lin?" He asked, reaching out to grab my waist, but I took a step back again. I pinched the bridge of my nose in utter annoyance.
"Because you were making a fucking noise," I yelled out and then clamped my mouth shut.
Blake was looking directly at Dominic, who stood there leaning against the wall with crossed arms, bare-chested, and sweatpants low on his hips. He was glaring at Blake and I grit my teeth.
I was beyond annoyed by the amount of testosterone in my apartment.
"Yes, that's why. Leave." I said casually and walked to Dominic who wrapped an arm around my shoulders, almost protectively. Blake's face faltered and my heart clenched at how broken he looked.
I sighed. I shouldn't have felt as terrible as I did but I couldn't help it. He turned around to leave and I frowned at how easy that was. I was angry that Dominic's mere presence was enough to drive him away.
"Typical." I scoffed. "He respects a man who just stands there more than he respects me."
Blake muttered something under his breath, and I couldn't make out what he said, but the way Dominic tensed beside me told me he fully understood. He let go of me.
"What the fuck did you just say?" Dominic growled and walked to Blake who turned around with wide eyes before rushing out and shutting the door behind him. He hadn't expected anybody to hear him. I grabbed Dominic's forearm to stop him from taking another step.
"Don't. What did he say?" I asked curiously watching how his jaw clenched.
"He said 'One day I'll get you alone.'" He fumed. "That's a fucking threat and I won't take it lightly, so don't even try to convince me otherwise," Dominic stated, shaking his head. I scowled and removed my hand wrapped around his arm.
"He said that?" I muttered hesitantly. "The little shit actually said that? I'll kill him myself."
Dominic opened his mouth to speak but I stood on the tip of my toes to kiss him. "Just forget it, shower with me?" I asked, hoping he would simply drop the topic and accept my offer.
He sighed. "Of course."
Dominic agreed but the mood was already ruined.
