Chapter 256 - Chapter 454

Gale force winds and torrential rains battered the Thousand Sunny as Nami wrestled the helm, fighting to steer a course through the Florian Triangle. Massive waves tossed the ship about like a toy, salt spray stinging the crew's faces as they raced to secure anything not bolted down.

"Wait? We are leaving Captain behind…" Coby said.

"No time to worry about that," Vivi said from the crow's nest, "And don't worry, Zoro, Sparky and Kuina is with him."

"Guys hold on!" Nami shouted. "Barto, shield us! Franky start the Jett engines! Now!"

"Bari Bari pointy shield!" The barrier user said as green energy gathered into a solid barrier, which was shaped in front of the Thousand Sunny, giving it an edge in cutting through the rough waves.

"SUUUPPER on it!" The cyborg said, pressing the big red button on the control panel as the Thousand Sunny sped forth.

"We are goonnna diiiiie?!" Usopp, Perona, Brook, Chopper and Bepo yelled.

"Oh, shit!" Cricket said as he almost slipped out of the ship.

"Hold on, you moron!" Anchor said as he used a rope to catch him.

"Guys, we still have sea kings on our tail!" Law said as he saw some large octopus-like limbs still giving chase to their ship.

"We have to be fast, or we might just end up becoming sea food," Robin reminded sweetly.

"Now's not the time…" Nami growled back.

"Oh, Robin looks so cute when she's doing her dark jokes!" Sanji said.

The jet engines ignited and added with Sanji's speed powers, the ship sailed forth, leaving a trail of water. But even speed didn't matter much when it came to evading sea kings that were large enough to gulp your ship down.

In the distance, the ominous shadows of aquatic beasts circled, as they gave chase. One could even see Luffy, Kuina and Zoro trying to stop them, and hold all of them off. But even then some were still giving chase.

The weather was also bad, with a storm brewing in the dark sea.

"Hard to port, quick!" Nami yelled over the roar of wind and rain, lightning cracking ominously above the main mast.

"Shit!" Sanji called out, sensing something with his observation haki, "There's one in the front?!"

"There's what?!" Nami said, her eyes widened as a large sea king came facing the oncoming Thousand Sunny.

An enormous eel-like monster with razor fangs thrashed towards the ship, only to be met by a pink explosion that destroyed it's face, giving way for the Sunny to avoid it.

"Take that, you oversized snake!" Usopp said, getting a heated 'hiss' from his side. "Oh, I didn't mean you, White Fury!" he apologized.

"Brook we need that camouflage!" Nami called out, "When can you do that…"

"I'm ready…" the skeleton said, "Yohohoho… I hope this works…"

"What do you mean, you hope this works," Yosaku complained from the side.

"Guys focus! We still have company!" Law reminded the crew, cutting of a massive tentacle that was about to wrap around the ship.

"Even in that speed, the bastards are keeping up," Yosaku said, "I don't think I will like fish anymore…"

"Eh… not all fish are bad," Hatchan said, on his shoulder was the shrunken for of Momoo. Usopp somehow managed to get shrink the sea king back to their ship.

Right as they were just getting used to the speed, mist and fog started gathering around the Thousand Sunny.

"Um… guys? What's happening?" Chopper asked.

"Something spooky… Yohohoh…" Brook's voice echoed around from the mist. The crew looked around and couldn't stop the newest crewmember. The fog started to get thick surrounding the ship, and latching onto the crewmates.

Some panicked while others didn't, and soon something amazing started to happen. The ship started to disappear into the mist, becoming invisible. The crew could still somewhat see each other, but to the sea kings the ship just suddenly disappeared.

"That's SUPER cool!" Franky said. Usopp, Chopper, Perona, Bepo and Bartolomeo all had stars in their eyes.

"The trick isn't done yet!" Brook's voice rang out from the surroundings, "Behold, my Sunny Fakeout!"

Right as he said that, another ship, an exact copy of the Thousand Sunny appeared from the mist, and drove the opposite direction. And seeing this the sea kings who were giving chase, changed targets, targeting the fake conjured illusion made out of mist.

"Huh, I'll be… you don't just see this sort of stuff every day," Anchor said, as the Thousand Sunny finally started losing the trails of sea kings that had been bothering them for so long.

Soon enough the Thousand Sunny was back in a clearing, still inside Florian Triangle, but with no danger in sight.

"Finally," Nami sighed in relief, dropping to the floor to catch her breath.

Similar reactions were common in the crew, as they finally managed to get to safety. Even the surrounding invisible illusion also went away, with Brook also taking a break from using his powers.

"That was quite tough… I felt it in my bones… Yohohoho~" Brook laughed.

"I don't like this place," Chopper said, Bepo nodding along, "We should get out of here as soon as possible…"

"Yeah, but that's after fixing the mess here," Sanji said, "We still need to find Thriller Bark and stop the bad doctor from taking over the world or whatnot…"

Nami rubbed her forehead, "It's not that easy… we don't even have a log pose for it," she said, "We'll need to send scouts…"

"I know where Thriller Bark is," Perona said gaining all of their attention.

"You do, Perona-chan?"

The girl nodded, "Its that way…" she said pointing at a direction.

"You could be lying," Yosaku pointed out.

"Yeah, that might as well be some random direction," Johnny said.

"I believe you, Perona-chawn!" Sanji said.

"Well, it's the best we have," Nami shrugged, before looking at Perona, "But are you sure?"

"Of course, I can trace back to my home anyday," The girl said with a pout as she crossed her arms. "I can track my home with my powers, alright." She huffed.

Nami looked over to Vivi, who shrugged. With what Perona had said about her powers, it did somewhat work similar to Vivi, so it was the best thing they had.

"We'll then follow your direction," Nami said, as she picked herself up, as she changed the Thousand Sunny's direction. Heading to the possible location of Thriller Bark, the floating island ship.
