Chapter 11 - 11 - Magic

"Your reputation precedes you," she admitted, unashamed of her loss. It seemed natural, after all.

"If I ever get the chance, I also want to test that other reputation of yours — see if you really are that good in bed." She smirked, then shot into the sky.

"W-what?" Issei stammered, watching her disappear on the horizon. "Damn it! Kalawarma, come back here! Let's talk this out!" He felt like he had just lost an incredible opportunity.

"Damn, I shouldn't have let her run away!" He sighed. "Next time she won't get away so easily." He glanced at Asia beside him, who was watching him curiously.

And then, in the blink of an eye, he was back in the park. Green trees and a gentle breeze passed over him, as if he had never left that place. He sighed once more.

"How strange…" he murmured, before hearing the rustling of leaves, Asia stepping out from behind the bushes, now with the same angelic aura as before. Issei couldn't help but be surprised.

A minute ago, she had been drooling over him, and now she looked like an ordinary angel.

"I guess it's time to go back…" Issei said tiredly. His mind was exhausted, and so was his body. He had too much to think about and little desire to walk around.

The walk was calm, and soon enough he returned to the same room where he had woken up just a few hours earlier. Entering the room, he couldn't help but notice a sweet fragrance in the air.

"Asia, I really love you." He imagined the terrible smell that would've lingered after so many 'exercises,' but Asia had already taken care of everything like a good angel. Then he threw himself onto the bed without another thought.

"Status."

"Damn…" he muttered, looking at the system windows. "I look like an idiot like this. Why the hell do they even call this intelligence?" For a few moments, Issei felt embarrassed before reallocating points.

"This way, I look less like an idiot, not to mention I can use more magic." He sighed. "Though I still need to learn how to actually do it… or maybe not?" he thought to himself, trying to create an energy sphere.

In no time, he felt something flowing through his body, like cold liquid, and soon a green sphere floated in front of him.

"Nice." He grinned from ear to ear. "What if I…" He imagined the sphere transforming into a ball of lightning. Soon the sphere began undergoing that very transformation.

"So…What if I…" He tried creating new spheres, each with a different element. Fire, water, earth, metal, air, light, and darkness. Each of them looked stable, and then he laughed in amusement.

"Then! What if I!" Growing more confident, he wondered for a single moment: what would happen if he fused those elements together? What would be the result of merging them?

"Fire with metal makes a more malleable, red-hot metal." The liquid metal shifted with his will, more like a living being than mere steel.

"Lightning with wind and water creates storm clouds." Dark clouds began spreading through his room. "Water and wind should only create fog… but what if I add light magic to the fog? Would I make illusions?"

"If that's what you wished." Rias suddenly spoke beside him, a gentle smile crossing her face. "You truly are talented, my most beloved servant." She said this while caressing his head.

"Ah…" Issei was startled for a moment. He hadn't been paying attention to his surroundings, he only wanted to test his magic. "Have you been there long?" he asked, making her giggle.

"Just long enough," she said between giggles. "But still, you never stop surprising us." Her tone was mysterious, and above all, nostalgic.

"I always thought magic wasn't your strong suit, and once again you proved me wrong." She looked at him with genuine affection. "I think my good boy deserves a reward." Issei swallowed hard when he heard that.

"So then, what do you want?" Rias repeated, tucking her hair behind her ear, exposing her languid neck. "Be honest, I know my good boy very well, after all."

'I know my queen too…' Issei swallowed hard once more. 'She likes to play tricks and tell half-truths.'

"I already know what I want." Issei said, anticipating Rias's traps; his mind ran through each of her possible replies and arrived at a clever plan to get what he wanted.

"How about a game of chess?" Issei asked innocently, like a child who understood nothing of the world. Rias stared at him, confused for a moment, this was out of character for him.

"Chess?" she repeated. "Just that?" Her tone seemed to hide a hint of disappointment, which drew a provocative laugh from Issei.

"…"

"Well, in that case maybe I'll give you two wishes…" Rias said, noticing Issei had nothing more to say, and he only grinned.

"Alright then, I want to play chess and lie in your lap after doing it." Rias looked at him, puzzled for another instant, he still seemed so innocent.

"Mooh~ then I'll give you three wishes and that's the end of it!" Issei laughed again. "Don't be too spoiled." She said waiting for his last wish.

"Every piece you lose in the game is one piece of clothing to be removed." Issei finally said, reaching the point he wanted. Rias froze for a moment, then sighed.

"Now that's my good boy.."
