Chapter 304 - Cooperation with Anti-Entropy

304. Cooperation with Anti-Entropy

"That's rare. Bronya actually took the initiative to ask me out. Let me guess, is it some kind of two-player game competition that needs my help, so you call me out?"

Yun Ling looked at Bronya suspiciously.

Of course, he wouldn't presume to think that Bronya asked him out because she liked him. After all, they hadn't had any deep conversations; their relationship was mostly one of competition or mutual encouragement. At most, Bronya didn't look down on him.

"I've found someone I can cooperate with. They can provide us with a lot of rare metals, including some Soulium," Bronya explained casually.

"Oh? You didn't go to see your former boss, did you?" Yun Ling tilted his head.

Organizations that could provide Soulium, besides Schicksal, are probably only Anti-Entropy and World Serpent.

Since the World Serpent hasn't shown itself yet, it shouldn't be World Serpent.

After eliminating the other possibilities, only Anti-Entropy remains.

At this stage... is it Cocolia?

Yun Ling's eyes darkened. He didn't particularly like Cocolia; in fact, he quite disliked her.

She deeply loved the children at her orphanage, yet she used them for experiments.

It was hard to imagine what Cocolia's thought process was.

The most disastrous experiment was the X-10 experiment, which quantized Seele, almost causing a rift between Bronya and Cocolia.

Although Cocolia's intention was to use the experimental data to help more children survive, her methods were still hard to believe.

Yun Ling suddenly lost interest in cooperating with her.

However, out of consideration for Bronya, it was better to meet her.

He could refuse later. As for the reason for refusing, he didn't like blonde curls.

Bronya didn't answer, but instead led Yun Ling to a relatively secluded café.

Almost instantly upon entering, two pairs of eyes locked onto him.

Two figures, one in red and one in blue, stood out conspicuously. Yun Ling's eyes widened slightly. Could it really be these two?

"It's Dr. Lieserl Albert Einstein and Dr. Frederica Nikola Tesla. It's truly an honor to meet you both. I am Yun Ling."

Without Bronya's introduction, Yun Ling revealed their identities.

"Don't call people by their full names!" Tesla seemed quite bothered by her name, her eyebrows slightly raised in displeasure.

"Just call me Tesla. As for this one, you can call her Einstein." Tesla pointed her thumb at Einstein beside her.

Einstein's gaze remained fixed on Yun Ling, never wavering.

"Just call me Einstein." Einstein didn't seem particularly approachable, even somewhat distant.

Tesla's eyes flickered. She knew Einstein never cared much about how others addressed her.

But this time she corrected herself. Clearly, her mood wasn't as calm as it appeared.

Moreover, she was dividing things up!

"Okay, Dr. Tesla, Dr. Einstein."

Yun Ling sat down opposite Tesla, his expression lacking the excitement one might expect when meeting a celebrity.

"Greetings, doctors. The core data on the quantum component is all here; this is our sincere offering."

Bronya took out a document and placed it on the table.

Yun Ling was somewhat surprised, but didn't stop her. After all, for him, the more widely this technology was used, the better, and the more secure his 'backdoor' would be.

Tesla pretended to read the document.

Einstein, however, seemed uninterested in the core data of the quantum component, simply sitting there quietly, watching Yun Ling.

Yun Ling and Einstein's eyes met for about three seconds before Einstein looked away, pretending to drink his coffee.

Tesla flipped through the document, her eyes growing brighter with each reading.

With her level of knowledge, she could naturally see just how valuable this document was.

What does it mean to support over 90% of the machinery? It's practically a universal auxiliary component.

Frankly speaking, its status as an auxiliary component is comparable to Soulium in materials; its significance is self-evident.

"Did you two really make this?" Tesla seemed somewhat incredulous.

The two of them, combined, were less than half her age, yet they had created something so astonishing.

"Of course, if you have any questions, feel free to ask. Bronya and I can answer them for you," Yun Ling said with a faint smile.

"Will Schicksal allow you to sell this technology to us?" Tesla was somewhat incredulous.

If it were her, she would have immediately recruited the two of them into the research institute; how could she possibly be contacting people from other organizations like this?

"It doesn't depend on Schicksal but on us," Yun Ling shook his head at her question.

"You want to have your own cake and eat it too? Your appetite is a bit too big; aren't you afraid of choking yourself?" Tesla instantly understood Yun Ling's intention.

"I do have powerful backers, so even if Schicksal finds out, they can't do anything to me. Dr. Tesla must have seen the value in this. So, are you interested in cooperating?" Yun Ling asked softly.

He desperately needed a large quantity of rare metals. Besides the Heavy Bunny he had already promised Bronya, he also needed them for upgrading the Valkyrie armor for several people in the future.

Rare metals were almost entirely monopolized by the three major organizations, especially Soulium, which was impossible to buy outside. Therefore, this was the only way to obtain them.

"Of course, but you have to tell me what this is." Einstein pushed the document over, pointing to a spot.

"One of the core components, used to maintain the quantum stability of objects," Yun Ling replied.

"No, this is a control component. If a machine is equipped with this, you can even gain partial control over it through the control component; you're just hiding it within."

Einstein shook his head, revealing the true function.

Bronya's eyes widened slightly, and she almost instantly looked at Yun Ling beside her. She was also the creator of the quantum components, and yet she was completely unaware of it!

Yun Ling, however, showed no embarrassment whatsoever after being exposed.

"To prevent what I created from ultimately becoming a tool to kill me, it's necessary to have a backup plan. I just didn't expect Dr. Einstein to discover it so quickly. Truly worthy of your reputation," Yun Ling praised.

"You…you're infuriating!" Tesla's eyes flashed with anger.

But after observing for a long time, she couldn't see anything amiss, and couldn't help but wonder how the messy-haired girl beside her had figured it out.

Control is a fatal thing for machinery. Having your own missile aimed at the enemy suddenly changing course and hitting itself would be a laughingstock.

Yun Ling was undeniably surprisingly bold.

This was one of the most crucial technologies; it would definitely undergo multiple layers of testing before being put into use.

And so far, there had been no news from Schicksal, meaning they hadn't discovered it yet!

"I was just guessing, I didn't expect you to admit it so readily."

Einstein's lips curled into a faint smile, his narrow gaze fixed on Yun Ling, seemingly trying to discern a different expression on his face.

"Well, I guess I've found your trick. So, shall we continue our cooperation?" Yun Ling asked unhurriedly.

"...Of course."
