Bang!
The carriage door opened. The tall hunter held a saw blade in one hand and Fenris's short gun in the other, his gaze sweeping toward Fourth Prince Roland at the back of the carriage.
Roland calmly returned his gaze, seemingly having accepted his fate.
The guards in the carriage immediately roared and charged forward. They didn't dare use firearms, afraid bullets would ricochet and hit the prince.
Someone tried to pull His Highness away, but Roland had no intention of moving.
"Your Highness, do you have any way to deal with this guy?"
David stood before Roland, watching the other kill guards one after another with extremely high efficiency, his pupils trembling.
Montaigne's combat power was terrifyingly extreme. His serrated blade, swung with tremendous force, could easily slice through soldiers' heavy armor.
Forget that saw blade—he could grab random knives and forks from the dining table and directly punch holes in the soldiers.
Splat, splat, splat, splat!
A series of blood sprays shot out...
"No way."
Roland shook his head expressionlessly. When David looked back at him, he also looked at David's pitch-black pupils.
His mouth said there was no way, but his eyes seemed to say: "You are the last way..."
Alright...
David understood Roland's meaning.
In the blink of an eye, all the soldiers ahead had fallen. Montaigne raised the gorgeous short gun and fired one shot at Roland's head.
Bang!
The blood-colored bullet traced a sharp red line, stabbing straight at Roland's brow.
Pff...
Roland's breath caught, but he saw David directly block in front of him at the critical moment!
He used his body to block the fifth-tier hunter's blood bullet!
The terrible kinetic energy carried by the bullet pushed David violently backward, even pushing Prince Roland along as they slid all the way back and crashed into the rear wall of the carriage.
A blood hole emitting white vapor appeared on David's right shoulder. Under the surge of life energy, that wound was rapidly contracting.
The bullet actually hadn't penetrated his body!
"Hmm... one blood bullet dealt over 5000 damage. Worthy of a fifth-tier hunter."
David expressionlessly steadied himself, casually drew a longsword from a crowding guard's waist, and strode toward Montaigne.
Prince Roland behind him took a deep breath. The royal guards nearby looked at David's back in shock.
They felt like they were looking at another monster...
A monster with three hundred and ten thousand life energy.
"Interesting..."
Montaigne grinned and flashed forward.
David likewise stomped forward, the blade in his hand flipping to slash toward the other's chest!
However, Montaigne's form shifted and he instantly vanished before his sword edge, the saw blade in his hand flashing cold light as he appeared at his side.
A ferocious slash mark appeared at David's waist, blood spurting. Driven by tremendous force, David was sent flying by one slash, smashing into the carriage's side wall.
But Montaigne was somewhat surprised. He'd thought this slash would be enough to cut the other in half, but discovered the feeling of hitting the target was very rigid.
This guy's body was actually solid enough to completely absorb his full-force strike!
Whoosh!
A green arm suddenly swung out from behind David!
The incomparably sharp claws directly tore through the train's interior walls, ripping open the carriage's deck. Five claw blades like five supreme divine weapons whooshed toward Montaigne!
"Again?"
Unfortunately, this time the opponent was already prepared, dodging the Hand of Monster's attack with a flash.
Having already tasted the instant-kill flavor of the Hand of Divine Corpse, how could Montaigne not be on guard against this?
David borrowed force from the car wall to countercharge, continuing to press the enemy with the sword in his hand. Fifth-tier Hunter Montaigne's speed and strength comprehensively crushed him. Only one thing could compete head-on with the opponent.
That was the Hand of Monster that had grown to level 5 over this year!
[Hand of Monster V: Requires 10 psychic energy or life energy to activate, cooldown: 1 second.]
With only a 1-second cooldown, the Hand of Monster was enough for him to display more flexible and tricky offensive advantages in close combat with the enemy.
This arm contained tremendous power. The muscles on it were as tough as steel reinforcement. The sharp claws even struck massive sparks when clashing with the saw blade.
"Ha! Come on!!!"
Montaigne finally encountered a worthy opponent on the train. He roared excitedly, one slash splitting open the monster claw, raising his gun to fire repeatedly at David's forehead.
Those immensely powerful blood bullets roared through the carriage as if they cost nothing.
David's body was sent tumbling everywhere by the tremendous force, only barely able to raise his monster claw to protect his face.
His health bar plummeted during the fight, dropping a third in the blink of an eye!
But Montaigne's heart felt equally surprised—no human had ever dared to recklessly eat his gun of death like this!
Even those apostles of gods, if they couldn't dodge his bullets, would fall with hatred under this kind of attack...
How the hell was this guy unkillable!?
An absurd thought suddenly arose in Montaigne's heart: "Could the opponent also be a follower of the Death Goddess?"
He swung another slash, splitting open David who just wouldn't die no matter how much he was cut and kept coming back again and again, then turned to charge toward the dumbstruck crowd at the rear of the carriage.
He decided to stop bothering with that annoying cockroach and first complete his objective—Fourth Prince Roland!
While charging at high speed, Montaigne raised his gun barrel. The blood-colored bullet rapidly condensed in the gun barrel, massive death force pouring in.
This shot—mortals must die!
But just as he was about to pull the trigger, a pale palm with six fingers suddenly grabbed his shoulder from behind.
The Heretic's Arm!
This hand was faster than the Hand of Monster! Longer reach!
The sudden attack completely exceeded Montaigne's expectations. He was directly controlled by the Touch of Folly, the entire person falling into a daze.
"Finally caught you..."
David spat out blood foam, flipped up, and the green claws thrust out, piercing Montaigne's back with a splat.
The Hand of Monster's tremendous force surged, grabbing the enemy's body and viciously smashing it into the carriage's side wall, blasting open a huge hole in the carriage's reinforced steel plate with a boom!
The Undying Montaigne once again flew out of the train...
...
"David Frank, how do you feel?"
Prince Roland was first to walk to David's side, looking together with him toward the outside through the train's huge hole.
"Fine..."
David expressionlessly wiped the blood from his face. His injuries were still within acceptable range.
Massive life energy surged, white vapor hissing out, rapidly suppressing the injuries on his body surface.
Seeing David indeed had no life-threatening danger, Roland asked in a deep voice: "How many more times can you defeat him?"
This was what he cared about most.
Though everyone was shocked by David Frank's formidability, before this, aside from the prince, no one knew he possessed strength capable of stopping a fifth-tier fallen hunter.
But Roland was very clear—David wasn't another undying one.
"Defeat?" David sneered and asked back: "He'll come again, right? He really can't be killed?"
"Can't be killed... At least, the death prison hasn't found a way to kill him." Roland narrowed his eyes.
"Then Your Highness, in the short term, I can only stop him one more time at most."
David exhaled lightly. He looked at the scenery outside the train and discovered the train had at some point entered a thick fog.
"One time... very good."
