After they moved to the sofa and listened to Dylan tell his story, he avoided mentioning C.A.T.S. and Phantom Cat. However, he did describe his disappearing ability and his skill at disguise, proving it by transforming into Lena, resulting in two Lenas. Dylan had already returned to his original form.
"So... that time... you disguised yourself as me and... went to the hotel with that scumbag?" Lena asked.
"Something like that," Dylan replied, looking down.
"Blugh," Lena suddenly jumped and hugged Dylan, startling him. Lena immediately kissed Dylan on the lips, and after that, she looked at him.
"I'm deleting the memory of you kissing that scumbag, and thank you. That guy kept chasing me, and my mom and dad basically sold me to him as collateral for a debt. Once it was paid off, he couldn't do anything, so thank you so much, babe," Lena said, smiling.
"Um... didn't you already say thank you... why again now?" Dylan asked.
"I didn't know the whole story then. Now I know, and of course, I love you way more right now," Lena replied, smiling broadly and happily.
"I see. So, you used your power to help me out this afternoon, too, right?" Ellie asked.
"Something like that, haha," Dylan replied.
"He also helped me at the bank that day... at first, I was scared, even though I wanted to fight back... but then he disappeared and suddenly stopped that criminal from shooting me... I was so happy," Maya added, chiming in with her story.
"That's enough... you guys are praising me too much. I'm just a regular guy," Dylan replied, feeling a little happy and relieved.
Suddenly, Amy moved closer, pressing right up against Dylan, then she wrapped her arm around Dylan's.
"If I were in danger, would you save me too?" Amy asked, looking at Dylan with her big, pleading, sparkling eyes.
"Of course," Dylan replied simply, inching away from Amy slightly.
Suddenly, "Ding... dong," the doorbell rang at Ellie's house. Everyone immediately turned to look at the front door. Ellie stood up.
"Oh, it's probably the locksmith I called to change the locks," Ellie said, walking toward the door.
Dylan immediately used his ray vision skill and looked past the door. He instantly stood up, then ran to catch up with Ellie to stop her. He quickly grabbed Ellie's shoulder, and when Ellie turned around, he signaled her to be quiet.
Ellie nodded and returned to the sofa in the living room. Dylan walked to the door and rubbed his face, then disguised himself as Ellie. "Click," he opened the door. Beyond the door were two men wearing patterned shirts, bald-headed, smoking, and looking brutal, standing on the porch.
"What is it?" 'Ellie' asked.
"Listen, we have a message from the boss to empty this house. If you still want to live, you need to leave this house immediately," one of the bald men replied.
"Oh, so Dad sent you guys, did he?" 'Ellie,' who was actually Dylan, said, stepping outside and closing the door behind him.
"Hoo, you still remember us, Princess? That's right, the boss sent us. Hurry up and leave this house," the man replied, smiling and, of course, eyeing 'Ellie's' body.
"But where am I supposed to go if I leave here?" 'Ellie' pretended to ask.
"That's none of my business and none of the boss's business. This house has been bought by someone else, and he needs to vacate the property so there's no issue with the handover later. If you want, you can come with me; you won't need to pay rent if you live with me. Of course, we both know the payment for that, right? Besides, the boss doesn't see you as his daughter anymore, hehehe," the man replied, snickering.
"Haaaah," 'Ellie' rubbed his face, and he changed back into Dylan, who looked tired, facing the two men.
"So, Alex doesn't see Ellie as his daughter anymore, huh? Good," Dylan said, sounding annoyed and weary.
Both men were instantly shocked and backed up; their faces looked genuinely terrified. Then Dylan turned to look around using his search area skill.
"Hey... come out, all of you. Why are you hiding?" Dylan yelled.
"Rustle," a man emerged from the bushes, two men came from behind the wall, and one man from behind the fence. The five men gathered in front of Dylan, who seemed relaxed.
"So you guys are Alex's goons, huh? Tell him I bought this house. I have every right to be here with Ellie, and if he still tries to run me off, I'll deal with him through legal channels," Dylan said.
"Huh? You're the buyer of this house? Let me ask you something. What's your name?" the man who had backed up just now asked, pulling out what he said was a smartphone.
But what the man pulled out of his pocket wasn't a smartphone; it was a taser. In an instant, Dylan used his flash step skill and grabbed the man's arm, twisting it until the man fell to his knees. Then, "Thud... smack... thud," he instantly kicked the two men on his right and left.
"Hoo... so he actually didn't intend to sell me this house. He planned to scare me off using thugs like you guys because he knew I was Ellie's friend and would definitely be here. If I got scared and didn't follow through with the house purchase, he planned to pocket the money. Pretty clever, and you already know my name, right?" Dylan said, smirking.
"Sh-Shit, hit him... hit him," yelled the man whose arm Dylan had twisted.
The other two men immediately pulled out baseball bats and swung them at Dylan. Of course, Dylan leaned back, pulling the man he was twisting to his feet. "Wham," the man's head and neck were instantly struck by his two friends' baseball bats.
Dylan released his twisted grip, grabbed the taser, "Bzzz," he instantly stunned the man on the left and swept the man on the right's feet out from under him, "Bzzz," he immediately stunned the man on the right. After that, he stood up, "Clap... clap," he dusted off his hands after throwing the taser away.
After that, he picked up the smartphone of the man who was hit by the baseball bat and was unconscious with a bloody face. He unlocked it using the man's finger and looked at the messages, then he typed a message to Alex that the house was empty because the buyer, who was Ellie's friend, had run away in fear. After that, without waiting for a reply, he neatly put the smartphone back in the man's pocket. He stood up and took out his own smartphone to call the police to have the five men on his porch arrested.
Dylan sat down casually on the porch chair, waiting for the police. He saw the two men he had kicked starting to get up and looked shocked to see three men lying down. They immediately dragged the other two men away, leaving the house, leaving the brutal-looking man with missing teeth, blood all over his face, and a bruised neck lying flat on his back in front of Dylan.
"C.A.T.S., you recorded everything, right?" Dylan asked.
[Of course, sir. I'll send it to you.]
"Dling," a message arrived on Dylan's smartphone. A video appeared, and he pressed it. It showed him, after changing back from Ellie, standing surrounded by five thugs, and the soundless conversation between them. Five minutes later, a police car arrived. Two uniformed officers got out and approached Dylan on the porch.
After getting Dylan's statement and seeing the video, which looked like it was taken by a camera, one officer took the man lying on the ground, and the other told Dylan to be careful because this kind of thing happened often in Ellie's neighborhood.
As soon as the police left, Dylan walked back to the door and opened it. "Woah," he was surprised to see Ellie, Lena, Maya, and Amy standing right behind the door.
"Wait, since when have you guys been there?" Dylan asked.
"Since you said, 'But where am I supposed to go if I leave here,' using my face, until everything was done and you opened the door," Ellie replied, pouting.
"Haha... sorry," Dylan replied.
