Chapter 12 - Chapter 12. Free from collateral and love declaration

After leaving the room and going down to the lobby, he saw Jacob, who looked panicked and was constantly calling someone because he had already signed the official debt repayment letter at his company. Dylan calmly walked past him.

Even though Jacob saw him, he didn't say anything to Dylan, even though he was wearing a school uniform. Dylan safely exited the lobby. He smiled as he saw some of Jacob's men wandering the streets and even going into the café across from the hotel where he usually drank coffee.

"Huh... unbelievable. So, what you said about the four girls running from something, this is what you meant? Lena ran away so that idiot wouldn't marry her as collateral for a debt," Dylan said in his head.

[That is correct, sir.]

"But that's not why she got pregnant with me, is it? I mean, she didn't use me, did she?" Dylan asked.

[You already heard what she said yesterday, sir.]

"True, but still, I'm not 100% convinced... for some reason, I still feel there's a story behind their feelings," Dylan replied.

[Why do you think that?]

"Because they made a plan to trap me, starting with taking me to a hotel, drugging me, taking photos as proof that they really did 'it' until they got pregnant, performing artificial insemination, and even doing a DNA test so I couldn't run away. Their plan was detailed and meticulous. That's what's terrifying, you know," Dylan said.

[All of that happened because they coincidentally chose the same target and because they are friends.]

"Are you sure? Because honestly, with this whole incident, I feel like there's a danger threatening me and my three siblings," Dylan replied.

[For that, I can give them protection. Please open your hand, sir.]

Dylan opened his hand. Suddenly, tiny specks of light gathered, forming seven small metal brooches in the shape of a cat's head with no face, colored blue and red, with the same function, just different colors.

"Huh... what are these?" Dylan asked.

[Protectors, sir. Give one to each of them. If they are in danger, the object will send a signal to us and protect them with an invisible barrier.]

"Oh... I see. Okay," Dylan replied, then put the seven small brooches in his pocket.

Suddenly, Dylan stopped. He looked at the jewelry store next to him and saw a row of engagement rings in the display case. Dylan was stunned for a moment. He imagined giving rings to Maya, Amy, Lena, and Ellie. But he shook his head and started walking again.

[Just buy them, sir.]

"Ah... later. I'm still not sure about them, even though they're carrying my children," Dylan said.

[Actually, sir, you don't need to be afraid because you have me. All of your grandfather's wives initially wanted to kill him, but in the end, they became his wives until they were old and happy.]

"Huh... is that true?" Dylan asked.

[It's true, sir. It's a shame he never told you, even though you were close to him.]

"Well... that's Grandpa for you. He liked to joke around and mess with me, but he was the only one who acknowledged me and my three siblings after our parents died," Dylan said, looking up and walking, a smile on his face as he remembered his grandfather.

[Yes, I know about that.]

They continued walking without stopping, leaving the commotion behind them. A few moments later, after Dylan arrived home, "klek," he opened the door and stepped inside. He saw a panicked Amy and Lena in the living room, searching for him and making calls.

Their footsteps and voices were clearly audible right up to the front door. Then he stepped into the room and pulled the folder from inside his shirt. When he entered the living room, Lena and Amy immediately rushed toward Dylan.

"Where have you been, Dylan?" Amy asked.

"I thought you were just going to open the door, but you ended up being gone for an hour and a half! Who was it who came?" Lena asked.

"Sreeet," Dylan didn't speak. He held the folder up in front of Lena's face. Of course, Lena was confused, then looked at Dylan's face. Then Dylan nodded, smiling, and Lena immediately took the folder. Lena opened it. She immediately covered her mouth and her eyes started to water as she read it.

"T-this is... the debt repayment letter for mom and dad? Signed directly by the boss?" Lena stammered.

"Yes, it is. Now you're free. You're no longer collateral. That letter is the proof. If they still cause trouble, take that letter to the police," Dylan answered.

"Blugh," Lena immediately jumped to hug Dylan and then passionately kissed Dylan on the lips. Amy smiled and just watched from the side, though her fists were clenched.

After pulling away, Lena immediately hugged Dylan.

"Thank you so much, babe, thank you... I had already given up. I ran away from home and stayed with my grandma to avoid them and my parents. I wanted to carry your child because if I got caught, at least I would have a child from you who would stay with me so I wouldn't be separated from you... thank you. I really love you," Lena said, crying.

"Yeah, you're welcome," Dylan replied, hugging Lena and stroking her hair. "Why is her reaction like this... the reason she wanted to have my child... does she really love me?" Dylan asked in his head, confused.

[You should have bought those rings earlier.]

"It's Lena who's talking, though... the one they call a goddess and one of the four popular girls in school... is this for real?" Dylan replied in his head, still doubting himself.

[You heard her yourself, didn't you? The others are the same, sir. Why did they make such a detailed and meticulous plan and succeed... it's because they were all cornered, and you were the only one who could help them. Do you understand now?]

"O-okay, I understand," Dylan said.

[Believe in yourself. Don't be so self-deprecating. It would be a shame for your grandfather up there to see you like this.]

"Yeah, yeah... you nag," Dylan replied.

[Now for the other one. She wants a hug, too.]

Dylan turned to look at Amy, who was silent. Suddenly, Dylan's hands moved on their own, stretching out as if inviting Amy into his embrace. Without delay, Amy immediately stepped forward, wrapped both her arms around Dylan's waist, and rested her head on Dylan's chest. Of course, Dylan hugged her back.

"H-hey, you moved my hands, didn't you?" Dylan asked in his head.

[Yes, sir. You're too passive. A little nudge was needed.]

"Okay... well... Lena's done... so what's Amy's problem?" Dylan asked.

[You'll find out what her problem is in due time, sir, because her problem will emerge on its own, just like today.]

"Hmm... okay... they smell great... I still can't believe the two most beautiful girls in school are now in my arms and are pregnant with my children... I never thought something like this could happen," Dylan said to himself.

[Consider it compensation, sir. You've worked hard, so please enjoy it.]

"Okay... you're right," Dylan replied.

Meanwhile, at school, "tuk...tuk...tuk," Ellie tapped her pencil on the desk. She kept checking her watch, her face looking very restless and wanting to hurry up and leave class. She turned to look at Maya, who was also restless, spinning her pen around.

"Ugh... I want to go home right away and get cozy with Dylan... grrr... this is a baby demand," both muttered to themselves.
