(Keifer's POV)
It's been about two and a half weeks since Valerie Kang—Ciel and Adrian's Korean friend—joined Section E.
And since then? She's everywhere.
If she's not glued to Adrian and Ciel, she's teasing Ci-N, or clinging to Jayjay.
And when she's around Jayjay, she somehow always finds a way to annoy me.
It's Thursday morning. Jayjay came with Aries today, so I'm heading to the Section E building alone.
As I round the corner, I nearly bump into Adrian, who's holding two juice boxes.
I grab one.
"Thanks, bro—"
He yanks it back. "That's for Valerie."
Of course. Valerie again.
I sigh. "She's got you doing errands now?"
Adrian shrugs. "She asked nicely."
"Right. That's what they all say before they hypnotize you into buying juice and watching K-pop," I grumble, following him.
When we reach the class, I freeze.
"What the F*ck —what are they doing!?"
Adrian sighs. "Don't ask."
(Adrian's POV)
The day started normally.
Ciel, Valerie, and I walked to school together. Those two were chatting in Korean the whole time.
They were a bit ahead of me, but I still caught bits like:
Ciel: "이거 진짜 대박일 거야!"
(This is going to be epic!)
Valerie: "그의 얼굴 보면 진짜 놀랄 거야."
(He's going to freak out when he sees it.)
I frowned, thinking, what are these two plotting now?
Then Valerie turned to me with a pout.
Valerie: "오빠~ 나 주스 두 개 사다 줄 수 있어?"
(Oppa~ can you buy me two juice boxes?)
I raised an eyebrow. "You literally have some at home."
She clasped her hands together dramatically.
Valerie: "학교 주스가 더 맛있어!"
(School juice tastes better!)
I sighed, giving my bag to Ciel. "Fine. But don't burn the classroom while I'm gone."
At the cafeteria, I met Aries and Ella.
After grabbing two juice boxes, I started heading back — and ran into Keifer.
We talked (and he complained about Valerie), then finally reached class.
And then—chaos.
Loud music blasted from the speaker:
🎵 "BLACKPINK in your area~!" 🎵
Valerie—no, Kang Areum—was dancing on top of the teacher's table like she was performing Shut Down at a concert.
Ciel and Ci-N were right beside her, trying to copy her moves.
David and Yuri were practically their safety nets, making sure nobody fell.
Half the class was clapping and hyping them up.
Keifer just stood there, horrified.
"Bro, she's actually performing. Do something!"
David added, "Man, if one of them falls, I'm calling the nurse!"
Instead, I sighed and pulled out my phone.
I knew one person who could definitely end this.
After a few rings, a firm Korean voice came through the speaker:
"강아름! 지금 당장 그 탁자에서 내려와!"
(Kang Areum! Get down from that table right now!)
The whole class froze.
Even the song kept playing awkwardly in the background.
Valerie blinked and looked toward my phone, her eyes wide.
Valerie: "엄마…?"
(Mom…?)
Then came the second wave:
Mrs. Kang: "학교가 네 무대야? 내가 딸로서 부끄럽지 않게 행동하라 했지? 이런 식으로 네 이름을 망치고 싶니?"
(Is the school your concert stage? Didn't I tell you to act in a way that wouldn't embarrass me as your Mother? Do you want to ruin your name like this?)
Valerie froze completely.
Then — she jumped down so fast David barely caught Ci-N as she followed.
Yuri helped Ciel down safely too.
Keifer burst out laughing.
"Oh my God—Adrian, did you just call her mom!?"
I pocketed my phone. "Hey, it worked."
Valerie stomped over, cheeks bright red.
Valerie: "너 정말 나쁜 오빠야! 엄마한테 전화하다니!"
(You're such a bad oppa! You actually called my mom!)
I smirked. "Next time, maybe don't turn the classroom into a concert."
She narrowed her eyes and muttered under her breath:
"기다려 봐. 복수할 거야."
(Just wait. I'll get you back.)
I chuckled, sipping her juice box.
"Yeah, I'm sure you will."
And knowing Valerie…
