Chapter 59 - Chapter 59 – Friday Fun: Festival Finale

JAYJAY's POV

The last day of the festival had finally arrived. No more competitions, no more scheduled activities—just free time to enjoy the campus and all its chaotic charm. The sun was warm, the stalls were colorful, and the smell of popcorn and fried treats filled the air.

I wandered into the main gym area, where everyone had split up—some went to the gaming zone, some to the food stalls, others to the dance corners. I smiled at the liveliness, letting myself get swept up in the cheerful chaos.

"JAYJAY!" I heard a familiar voice call.

I turned to see Angelo, my mom, Aunt Gemma, and Kiefer approaching. My face lit up, and I waved as I walked over.

"Hi!" I greeted, trying to keep my excitement under control.

Kiefer was behind them, giving his usual smooth grin. "Hey, everyone."

Angelo just nodded to me. "I'm going to look for Aries," she said casually, leaving the rest of us.

I followed my mom and Aunt Gemma as Kiefer greeted them properly, making small talk while I absorbed the scene around me. It felt good to have my family here, enjoying this moment with me.

While I was talking to them, I noticed Percy weaving through the crowd. Before I could react, he waved at me. "JAYJAY, come with me," he said, laughing lightly.

"Uh… okay?" I asked, following him carefully.

As we moved outside the school grounds, Percy kept a steady pace. "Just come along. Don't worry," he said, sounding amused.

Finally, we reached Percy's car. The window rolled down, and my heart skipped a beat. My dad was sitting there, smiling warmly at me.

"Dad!" I exclaimed, rushing forward, wrapping him in a tight hug. It felt unreal—after so long, seeing him like this was a dream.

"I've missed you so much," I said, pulling back to look at him.

He chuckled. "I've missed you too, JAYJAY. And I have good news."

My curiosity spiked. "What is it?"

"You'll be able to see me openly on your birthday this year. No more secrets," he said, a soft smile lighting his face.

I grinned, excitement bubbling inside me. "Really? That's… amazing!"

We shared a few more words, and I felt that warm, long-awaited connection fill the space between us. I was overjoyed.

Then, I tried to convince him to come inside with me. "Can you come in?" I asked.

He shook his head gently. "Not yet. But I can come with Percy. Just think of it as visiting Felix first," he said with a wink.

I nodded, understanding the little secret plan. "Okay. you'll come with Percy then."

I glanced back toward the festival chaos, knowing the afternoon was still full of energy and fun. But for this moment, having this little reunion with my dad made everything else fade into the background.
