Jayjay's POV
Saturday morning sunlight peeked through my curtains.
Today was rehearsal day at Adrian's house — and I couldn't wait.
After finishing up, I went downstairs where everyone was having breakfast.
"Morning!" I smiled. "I'll be at Adrian's place for practice, so don't wait up if I'm late."
Angelo raised a brow. "Don't come back too tired, okay?"
"I'll try," I said with a playful grin, slipping my bag over my shoulder.
Outside, Kiefer's car was already parked in front of my house. He was still on the phone, leaning back in the driver's seat, while his little brothers waited in the back.
I walked up, opened the door, and slid in beside him.
"Morning," I whispered, giving him a quick peck on the cheek.
He smiled but didn't end the call yet. That's when Keiren suddenly piped up from the back seat.
"Good morning, sister-in-law!"
At first, I didn't even notice what he said — until the words replayed in my mind.
Wait. What did he just call me?
I turned my head sharply. "Keiren… what did you just say?"
Kiefer finally ended his call, clearly holding back a laugh.
Keiren grinned innocently. "I said good morning, sister-in-law."
I blinked, then looked at Kiefer, who was now smirking with that lollipop between his lips.
"You— You started eating those again?" I asked, pointing at the candy. "I thought you said you quit."
He made a small sound. "Tss."
I smiled, shaking my head. "I missed that sound."
"Yeah?" he teased, glancing my way. "You'll hear it more often if you keep staring at me like that."
Before I could respond, Keagan groaned. "Ugh, guys, please! There are kids in the car!"
We both laughed, and somehow, between the laughter and the teasing, we didn't even realize we'd already arrived at Adrian's house.
Most of the Section E boys were already there — some eating snacks, others scrolling through their phones, and a few arguing about which dance they should try.
Adrian's POV
"Adrian!"
My sister's voice pulled me out of sleep.
"Come on, wake up," Ciel said, pulling the blanket off me. "You promised to help with the dance rehearsal today. They'll be here soon!"
I groaned and sat up. "Fine, fine, I'm awake."
After washing up, I threw on a loose pair of gray shorts and a white T-shirt that said, "No Limits, Just Moves."
Heading downstairs, I greeted one of the maids.
"早上好,少爷." (Good morning, young master.)
"早上好," I replied, smiling. "Where are my grandparents?"
"They left very early this morning," she said in Chinese, "老爷夫人一早就出门了." (The old master and madam went out early.)
"Got it. Thanks," I said.
Ciel and I sat down for breakfast, and one by one, the others arrived — Ci-N, NJ, Felix, Calix, Racket — the usual group of chaos.
They came in pairs and groups, laughing, teasing, bringing energy into the house. Soon, it was noisy and alive.
We were halfway through breakfast when the doorbell rang.
"I got it," I said, standing.
When I opened the door, Kiefer, Jayjay, and his two little brothers were there.
Before anyone could say a word, Keiren ran up to me.
"Adrian! Can we go to the gaming lounge?"
I laughed and nodded. "Sure, but don't touch the big screen."
"Deal!" he shouted, dragging Keagan behind him.
Inside, the living room quickly turned into a lively mess of snacks, music, and warm-up chatter.
"Alright, guys," Ci-N called, holding up his phone. "I found the perfect dance."
He showed it to us, and within seconds, chaos began.
The Rehearsal
"Left foot first— no, the other left!" Felix shouted.
"That is my left!" blaster argued, spinning in the wrong direction.
Then Calix slipped, bumping into edrix, who dropped his phone, which then slid perfectly under the couch.
"Perfect! At least one thing in this room knows how to slide right!" Ci-N joked, earning laughter from everyone.
"Ci-N, you're one step ahead," felix said, trying to keep up with the beat.
"Literally!" Ci-N laughed, tripping mid-move and nearly taking Felix down with him.
Kiefer, standing behind me, just smirked. "You all look like noodles trying to dance salsa."
"Then show us how you move, Mr. Cool-Guy," ci-n teased.
He stepped forward, did a smooth spin, then hit a sharp pop that made everyone stare.
"Okay, okay— maybe he's not noodles," Calix muttered.
The laughter filled the whole room again as we kept going — dancing, messing up, restarting, and teasing.
At one point, Ciel tried joining, but her timing was so off that Ci-N fell laughing on the floor.
"Ciel, you're two beats ahead of the music!" Felix yelled.
She shrugged. "That's because my rhythm's in the future."
Everyone cracked up again.
Finally, one of the maids appeared at the door.
"少爷,午饭准备好了." (Young master, lunch is ready.)
We all collapsed onto the couch, panting. while the rest just laughed at us
At the table, Ciel suddenly asked, "So, what should our group name be?"
Everyone exchanged looks.
Then Ci-N leaned back with a grin.
"Let's keep the old one — Jay Warriors."
The room went silent for a moment, then erupted.
"Jay Warriors," Kiefer repeated proudly.
"seriously still this name," Jayjay said, smiling.
"Hey, I like that," Ciel added, raising her juice. "To the Jay Warriors!"
We all cheered and clinked glasses.
After lunch, we went back to practicing.
This time it was smoother — though Calix still missed the turn and bumped into Felix , who shouted, "You're trying to kill me before the performance!"
"Not my fault you can't move your feet!" Calix fired back.
By evening, exhaustion started setting in.
Dinner came, and afterward, we decided to call it a night.
Kiefer's little brothers had already fallen asleep on the couch. I helped Kiefer carry them to his car, while Jayjay followed quietly.
As we settled the boys inside, Kiefer turned to her.
"You should stay over. It's late ."
Jayjay hesitated, then smiled softly. "Okay."
From the porch, Ciel grinned. "Goodnight, Jay Warriors!"
We laughed, waving back as Kiefer's car disappeared into the distance.
I leaned against the doorway, staring up at the night sky.
"Jay Warriors," I murmured. "Let's see what you've got."
