Chapter 4 - Rain, Ray and Rald.

Just now, I'd realized something was wrong. No, rather, something had changed.

The regular Alan Greenbun would find this facial reaction cute and laugh out if faced with this situation. But me?

Sure I had felt a subtle urge to smile, but it couldn't just break out.

The aspects of this body was beginning to influence my personality. Either that, or I'd been incorporated with the soul of the MC right from the start and not just his body alone.

'It might actually help me, since his traits would be better accustomed to the ways of Nobility.' I reasoned with a knowing smile.

'However, let's try something new.'

What if I were to beguile Kamirn into believing that I had a second weakness he'd underestimated. That way, I'd be able to save myself a ton of trouble.

That also, would open up myself to temptation, which I'm ready for.

This fake weakness?

Women, of course.

It seemed like a dirty trick to use, since I had an ironclad resolve against sexual lust. But then, there are no rules in War.

That being said, I half didn't expect Kamirn to fall for him.

For starters, if he could look into my mind like he'd did before, then this would be wasted effort. But, it was worth a trial.

With fresh unease, I recalled Lady Aurora's promise.

My gaze darted to the other twin who still stood akimbo at the doorway. Her eyes narrowed at my actions which mirrored my 'sinister' plans.

I turned to the healer and leaned in, far closer than what could be called comfortable. Her whole body tensed, but froze.

Leaning even closer, I cupped her jaw with my slender fingers, my eyes glittering with intention. My lips moved closer to hers.

The healer's cheeks flashed from peach, to rosy and then beet red. Her body heat radiated through her clothing to reach me, and her shuddering increased exponentially.

But she didn't fall back, which would be a good thing if I had serious intentions towards this act. She pouted out her lips, eyes tightly shut in expectation.

'What a virgin,' I almost say aloud. Only god tier virgins pout for a kiss.

I blew a gentle breath to the nape of her neck. Her expression turned dreamy, and my hand slipped around her clothed waist, the other reaching beneath the folds of her knee length gown.

I flicked my gaze sideways to the door.

'Just how much longer are you going to watch, sister?'

This experiment could yield a second goal, aside the purpose of deceiving Kamirn. With this, I got to gauge how close the sisters were, and a loose scale of what they could do for each other.

I leaned closer than her lips, and arrived at her ear. At this point, I stopped moving my hands far beneath. Hasty, angry footsteps approached me.

With a subtle smile, I whispered quietly.

"Don't let yourself so loosely to a guy on the first day…you're lucky I'm not that kind of guy."

Just then, a hand clamped on my shoulder, harder than a vice.

I half-expected to lose feelings in that arm instantly, but nothing happened. Then, I sat up, retracting my hands.

The healer looked away flushed, hands clutching side of face, hiding the ever present tinge which refused to recede.

Her eyes met mine shyly, melting with innocence and the pain of an unmet expectation.

'So she was actually expecting me to do it? We're just meeting today!

'Now, this feels like a Kamirn trap....' I muttered worriedly.

The other sister let go of my shoulder and pulled her sister away from my side. Her eyes remained hunched and angrily pinned on me.

Wearing a nonchalant smile, I tried flexing my shoulder but found that I didn't need to. My smile lingered, now exhilarated.

'Good thing…at least I got a really trained body… but her grip's something else, she could snap my spinal cord with a mere pinch...' I let out a relieved sigh.

At least, my path's been made a tad easier.

Just then, my face fell.

For some reason, I feel like this perfect body would be my undoing. Literally anything here could kill me.

I needed to tread carefully. I shouldn't celebrate for any little thing whatsoever. Kamirn would be watching surely, so to him, a celebration calls for more tragic events. And I'd love to avoid them as much as possible.

Well, that's that.

I glanced up at sisters, replacing my frown with a nonchalant scowl. The rude one tried to pull the healer away. However, the other refused silently, keeping her face down nevertheless.

The both of them had to be just as powerful. Otherwise, the scaled would have tipped.

Who knew, the healer might even be stronger.

From her body language, I knew she wanted to ask me something, perhaps unrelated to what had just happened. However, she didn't just want to say it in her sister's presence.

I didn't even have a vague guess, so I couldn't even help her with a prompt.

At long last, the other sister abandoned her efforts and rounded up on me.

Her eyes still sparked, lips clicking distastefully. She pounced forward and grabbed me by the collar of my sweatshirt. However, she couldn't even break my upright posture despite all her efforts.

"What have you done to my sister?!" she snarled, voice heavy with hatred, edged with excessive disgust.

"I don't think I'll allow such animalistic contempt to be directed towards me," I warned, unmoved.

'Guess, I should just accept my new personality,' I thought dully. My scowl deepened to harbor a hint of anger.

"So full of yourself, aren't you?" she asked, still straining in vain. I could hear her panting under her breath.

"You haven't even told me your names," I pointed out calmly. With a sudden thrust, I grabbed her arm and squeezed.

She whimpered, tapping my hand rapidly in surrender. Her hand turned white, as my grip cut off blood circulation to that arm entirely.

A sob broke out but she hid it, determined not to quail.

But I still heard it. Seemingly, I possessed heightened senses too.

This is bad.

"She's Ray, and the other one's Rain. I'm Raldkin, Rald for short," a loud voice boomed from the door, not laced with anger or warning, but peace. "Hope you'll leave my sisters now?"

I turned to the door, releasing the one the newcomer had called Ray. She fell to the ground limply, clutching her arm.

Someone stood at the door, blazing off some princely aura.

He blocked out most of the light entering the room, so I had a pretty good view of his physique and not his shadowy features. Without a second glance, I walked towards him with an interested gaze.

Rain watched me walk away, her lips trembling. She didn't even haste to help her sister, but watched me with admiration glinting in her eyes.

"I knew it," her trembling hands touched her jaw where I'd touched her, caressing it tenderly. "He's truly a Guy."
