[POV: Rias]
Vali woke a few hours later, just in time to receive a proper scolding from Azazel for leveling the training field and everything around it. I only watched with a faint smile. Well… I suppose it's time to begin.
Begin what?
My plan.
My plan for what?
For everything.
I conceived it the day I nearly died at the hands of those demons and the church humans. In that moment I realized something: I wasn't living the life I truly wanted.
I had been born into luxury—respect and privilege handed to me on a silver platter. But when death brushed past me, I understood that wealth and comfort alone weren't enough.
I'm selfish. Narcissistic. Proud.
And because of those traits I reached a simple conclusion:
I want more.
I want it all. I want to rule. I want the world to hear my name and bow before it. Before, comfort would have sufficed. Now, that thought is intolerable.
So the plan was born.
I will become the most powerful demon to ever exist.
I will rule not only Hell… but the entire world.
A soft chuckle escaped me. "Hahaha… how glorious that sounds."
A metallic chime echoed in my head.

My lips curved into a slow smile. That would make me completely invincible, wouldn't it?
Heh—well, that's far down the road.
For now, focus on the present.
My plan.
I need subordinates.
That's why I'm here.
Where, you ask?
The Tokyo Maximum Security Prison.
There's one reason I'm here: to create subordinates. I need human bodies for what I'm about to do.
Don't misunderstand me. I won't hesitate to use innocent humans if necessary. Many lives will be lost in the process—but it's a necessary evil for what I'm building. Sacrifices are inevitable on the path to greatness.
I'm here to create demons. More precisely… Onis.
A prisoner sneered. "Huh? A brat? What are you doing here, little—"
His voice cut off as a needle pierced the side of his neck before he could finish. He screamed.
"Aagh—AAAAHHHHH!"
His body convulsed. His skin bleached, veins darkening. His eyes turned pitch-black, save for a single glowing red pupil.
I smiled. Successful.
The prisoner fell to his knees, trembling.
"Rias-sama…" he gasped.
"Oh—what a successful creation. Congratulations on your rebirth," I said calmly.
"Thank you… Rias-sama."
"Now go. Spread your blood into more humans."
Yes. The Onis I make aren't the same as Muzan's. Mine are… evolved.
First: immunity to sunlight. Unless you utterly destroy them, they are effectively immortal.
Second: they can reproduce. Their blood can turn others into Onis—although that ability is restricted by my authorization.
"I will convert everyone in the prison, Rias-sama," the Oni said.
"Go."
He vanished into the shadows.
Unlike older variants, my Onis don't need to devour humans to survive. They can eat normal food. They can still consume humans if they choose—but it's not a requirement.
My goal is a controlled spread—a plague that grows quietly until it's already too late for anyone to stop it.
The mission I implanted in that Oni was straightforward: convert everyone in the prison, then split into squads to hunt stray demons, fallen angels, and any creatures no one would notice if they disappeared. The invisible ones. The expendable ones.
This propagation will continue until I command otherwise. Only my future cadres, my future nobility, will eventually receive the power to create more Onis.
When I finished, I returned to Grigori.
I slept like a baby—satisfied. I had spent the night unleashing what might be the worst supernatural plague imaginable.
The next morning I sat down for breakfast with my future queen and cadre, Akeno Himejima, smiling inwardly.
"I can sense it through my link—the Onis are already over ten thousand. How fast they grow," I said aloud.
As expected, most stray demons resisted. They were overwhelmed by sheer numbers and the Onis' rapid regeneration.
Akeno poured tea with a bright smile. "Rias-sama, try this. It's delicious."
"Yes~~ Akeno-chan."
A signal pinged—one of my Onis was trying to communicate.
"Miss Rias, we have found something that may interest you."
"Oh? What is it?"
"A human with a Sacred Gear."
"Where are they now?"
"In the city of Kuon, Rias-sama."
"I see. It seems I'll be paying a visit to that city soon."
The message ended.
By the way—you might wonder why I haven't turned Akeno into an Oni yet. The reason is simple: the power of an Oni scales with how powerful the human was before transformation.
With that in mind, I intend to make Akeno strong first. When she reaches her full potential as a human… then I will transform her.
I rested my chin on my hand and watched the city through the window. Another busy day—another step closer to what I want.
To be continued…
Thank you for the support!
