Chapter 245 - Chapter 246

Chapter 246: Scientific Ninja Tools—Worth Pursuing?

The coffin opened. Seimei emerged slowly, forming several hand seals. The four sacred ninja tools flew toward him, circling his body before assembling into a complete set.

After a blinding flash of light, Seimei's body levitated into the air. He stood upon a blue sphere of light with green orbs hovering on either side.

The visual presentation alone radiated power—the unmistakable aura of a final boss.

Unfortunately, Yasushi knew perfectly well this guy was completely worthless in actual combat.

However, the Takumi Village ninja didn't know this. Witnessing their ancestor's true resurrection, they erupted with excitement, rushing forward to prostrate themselves at his feet.

"We greet Ancestor Seimei!"

Seimei nodded with satisfaction, raising both arms high as he addressed the crowd loudly:

"You've done well! I've finally been resurrected!"

"Our Takumi Village's century-long humiliation can finally be avenged!"

"Starting today, Takumi Village shall stand supreme in the shinobi world!"

Before he could finish, Seimei's expression suddenly shifted. He whipped his head around sharply.

Shinyo, who should have been trapped in the iron cage providing chakra, walked out leisurely. The chakra energy he'd been continuously absorbing had stopped flowing.

"You—how did you escape?" Seimei demanded in shock.

"I saw you'd successfully resurrected, so I came out." Shinyo replied simply.

"That's impossible!" Seimei pointed at her, shouting: "How did you escape from that chakra-absorbing cage?"

"I didn't need to escape." Shinyo looked at him strangely, gesturing behind her. "That cage was only sealed on one side. The back half was completely open."

"What?" Seimei rushed over to look. Sure enough, the cage's rear section was completely unsealed.

Seimei erupted with fury, spinning around to roar: "Who conducted this ceremony? How could you make such a catastrophic mistake?"

"Well..." Kamekichi stepped forward with an awkward laugh, explaining: "Ancestor Seimei, Lady Shinyo isn't our enemy."

"She voluntarily provided chakra for your resurrection."

"Voluntarily?" Seimei examined Shinyo carefully, his gaze lingering on her three-tomoe Sharingan before his brow furrowed deeply.

"Uchiha?"

"Doesn't Konoha Village possess the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki?"

"Why are you a One-Tail Jinchuriki?"

"Regardless of whether you volunteered, I currently need the Tailed Beast within your body to continue providing chakra energy. Return to the cage immediately."

"Enough, old fool." Yasushi interrupted with displeasure from the sidelines. "Don't push your luck!"

"If not for your research into souls having some value, garbage like you wouldn't be worth resurrecting at all!"

"What did you say?" Seimei's fury blazed. With a wave of his hand, his ninja tools suddenly elongated, transforming into dragon-shaped constructs that pierced toward Yasushi.

"So you need a beating first after all?" Yasushi sighed, activating his Susanoo.

Seimei's ninja tools struck the energy giant's body with metallic clanging sounds but failed to penetrate its defense whatsoever—all bouncing off harmlessly.

Yasushi crossed his arms, staring coldly at Seimei:

"Since you lived through that era, you should recognize this, correct?"

"Su—Susanoo..." Seimei's expression crumbled, his lips trembling. "How can something like this still exist? This should have vanished from the world!"

Seimei seemed to lose his mind completely, screaming as he unleashed a frenzied barrage toward Yasushi—wind blades, fire torrents, every technique in his arsenal, cycling through his entire collection of ninja tools.

Yasushi watched him like observing an idiot, allowing the jutsu to crash against Susanoo, exploding into colorful chakra fireworks in midair—like a pathetic fireworks display.

Yasushi even yawned from boredom. This gesture pushed Seimei into complete collapse.

After Seimei exhausted all his tricks, Susanoo casually swatted him from the sky with one hand—as easily as swatting a fly.

Only concern about using excessive force and killing him prevented Yasushi from simply slamming him into the ground.

"Aaagh!"

Seimei shot through the air like a cannonball, traversing half the cemetery before crashing heavily into the mountainside on the opposite end, embedding directly into the rock face.

Seimei's limbs splayed in a spread-eagle position, trapped in the stone. Behind him, the impact point had shattered into radiating cracks. Blood trickled down the rock surface, dripping steadily.

Susanoo strode before him. Yasushi grabbed him from the stone, bringing him close and asking coldly:

"Clearheaded now?"

"Cough... cough..." Seimei coughed violently, nodding repeatedly.

"Still want to stand supreme in the shinobi world?"

Seimei shook his head frantically, thoroughly subdued.

Yasushi canceled Susanoo and used his dojutsu to heal Seimei somewhat, preventing him from dying immediately after resurrection.

"Go learn about the current situation from your descendants. When you're finished, come find me. I have questions about souls."

Yasushi tossed Seimei to Kamekichi before departing with Shinyo's group.

Having witnessed their ancestor so effortlessly beaten into submission, Takumi Village's morale completely shattered. They finally understood Kamekichi's earlier warnings hadn't been remotely exaggerated—purely the cautious wisdom of experience.

Seeing Yasushi's group approaching, everyone hastily stepped aside, creating a clear path.

As Yasushi passed, every person lowered their heads silently. No one dared look up at him—not even those previously defiant young hotheads.

This time, they'd truly learned obedience.

Having been brutally beaten before his many descendants, Seimei felt deeply humiliated. But after hearing Kamekichi explain the current shinobi world's state of affairs in detail, different thoughts immediately emerged.

"Why does the current shinobi world seem even more dangerous than my era?"

"How did even the Sage of Six Paths' eyes appear?"

"And that Wood Release—it didn't go extinct either?"

"Should I just lie back down for another century, waiting until this generation dies off before emerging again?"

These thoughts flickered through his mind before being dismissed.

Having already been resurrected, who would willingly die again?

Seimei sighed, patting Kamekichi's shoulder.

"You made the right choice. Takumi Village's current strength remains insufficient. We need to develop even more powerful ninja tools!"

Kamekichi nodded with deep agreement. "Indeed. Previously, I purchased considerable knowledge about scientific technology from the bounty station. I believe combining science with ninja tools might yield promising results."

"Science combined with ninja tools?"

"Correct. Relying purely on ninja tools seems to have limited potential—insufficient for confronting powerful shinobi like the Uchiha. I want to experiment with creating scientific ninja tools, seeing if we can elevate Takumi Village to new heights."

"I see. Then let's experiment when we get the chance!"
