Chapter 241: Yin-Yang Release
"Let me go!"
"You bandits!"
Otsutsuki Toneri struggled violently, heedless of the blood streaming from his wounds. He reached desperately toward the interior of the great hall—as long as he remained near that massive Tenseigan, he still possessed the power to fight.
Yasushi strolled leisurely before him and kicked him back inside.
Toneri's body arced through the air, slamming heavily against the enormous Tenseigan. Blood sprayed from his mouth. How many more bones had shattered, he couldn't even tell.
He collapsed to the ground, coughing violently, struggling to rise. But Yasushi approached and planted a foot on his back.
Toneri felt as though a mountain had descended upon him—he couldn't move a single inch. Fury and desperation overwhelmed him. He vomited blood, his vision dimmed, and he lost consciousness.
Yasushi paid no attention to the body beneath his foot. He simply admired the treasure before him at close range.
"Truly beautiful!"
"That idiot Naruto actually destroyed something this precious. What a waste."
Zetsu emerged from somewhere nearby, frowning in confusion:
"I thought there would be powerful fighters here. How is everyone dead?"
"Even Otsutsuki Hamura has rotted away to nothing but bone fragments."
"Yasushi, didn't you say Hamura's clan served as jailers here?"
"And all that talk about counterattacking the shinobi world!"
"Were you lying to me?"
Yasushi rolled his eyes and replied shamelessly:
"Heaven and earth as my witness!"
"Zetsu, my prophetic dojutsu can only see events that occur in the shinobi world. I can't see what happened on the moon."
"All I know is that according to the original timeline, a few years after Otsutsuki Kaguya was sealed again by the Sage of Six Paths' reincarnations, the moon was pushed toward the shinobi world using this Tenseigan. The executor was this Otsutsuki Toneri beneath my foot."
"It was the Seventh Hokage of Konoha Village at the time—Uzumaki Naruto—who defeated Otsutsuki Toneri and destroyed the giant Tenseigan, saving the shinobi world."
"As for Otsutsuki Hamura's clan serving as jailers here—that was what Otsutsuki Toneri himself said at the time. How else would I have known?"
"From what I saw of their momentum back then, all Five Great Nations had to unite just to barely withstand the attack. How was I supposed to know everyone on the moon had already died out?"
"I haven't lied to you about a single thing!"
"If you don't believe me, ask this Otsutsuki Toneri yourself. See if this was their plan or not."
With that, Yasushi hooked his foot under Toneri, grabbed him, and healed some of his wounds to wake him.
"Boy, if you don't want to die, start talking honestly. What happened on this moon of yours?"
This child had clearly never experienced the harsh lessons of the real world. Even now, captured in Yasushi's hands, he still dared to act defiant!
"Don't think you can make me submit!"
"Heh." Yasushi laughed coldly and casually tossed him to Zetsu. "You handle the interrogation. I need to study this giant Tenseigan properly."
"Bastard! That's our clan's treasure! Don't you dare touch—aaaaahhh!"
Toneri roared and charged at Yasushi, but White Zetsu extended his arms from both sides. Wooden spikes skewered through Toneri's arms and legs like candied fruits on a stick.
Amid Toneri's agonized screams, White Zetsu hoisted him up and carried him away for questioning.
Yasushi ignored these trivial matters. He approached the massive Tenseigan and placed his hand upon it.
An enormous suction force pulled at him. The chakra within his body immediately began flowing toward the giant Tenseigan.
But when the Tenseigan chakra in his shoulders reached forward and made contact with the giant eye, that tremendous suction vanished.
Yet this merely prevented his chakra from being drained. Accessing the vast energy contained within the giant Tenseigan remained impossible.
Yasushi pondered briefly, then removed the Sharingan from his eye sockets. He swapped their positions with the Tenseigan in his shoulders, then tried again.
This time, it worked.
The chakra from the giant Tenseigan could now enter his body after being channeled through the small Tenseigan in his eyes.
With this tremendous power, Yasushi effortlessly activated "Tenseigan Chakra Mode" once more. He used this chakra to nourish his body—and could even freely manipulate Yin-Yang Release.
Unfortunately, this Yin-Yang Release couldn't evolve his Mangekyou Sharingan into the Rinnegan.
However, when he tried using Yin-Yang Release to enhance the Sharingan dojutsu now installed in his shoulders, he discovered his healing abilities had improved dramatically. The exact extent remained unclear.
"I need a test subject!" Yasushi snapped his fingers and summoned a White Zetsu, commanding simply:
"Bring me Hyuga Hiashi."
When Zetsu had kidnapped Hanabi earlier, Hiashi had been left behind here.
At the time, Otsutsuki Toneri still intended to bring Hanabi back, so he'd kept Hiashi alive as a valuable hostage.
When Yasushi swept through and annihilated everything in his path, he'd incidentally rescued Hiashi as well.
He hadn't yet decided what to do with the Hyuga clan head. Now that he needed a test subject for his Yin-Yang Release abilities, Hiashi would serve nicely.
Soon, Hiashi was brought before him.
On the way, Hiashi had already learned the situation—that Uchiha Yasushi had rescued him. Yet he still maintained an air of defiant dignity, chin raised high:
"Though you saved me, we remain enemies. Don't expect my gratitude, and don't imagine you can use me to influence the Hyuga clan or Konoha Village."
Yasushi cast a sidelong glance at Hiashi and laughed coldly.
"Heh. You're overthinking things."
"You've been isolated on this moon for years. Your information is hopelessly outdated."
"Very soon, there won't be any Konoha Village left. As for whether the Hyuga clan will still exist by then—well, that's anyone's guess!"
"What?" Hiashi's composure shattered. He demanded urgently: "What have you done to Konoha Village?"
Yasushi ignored him entirely. With a casual wave of his hand, he severed Hiashi's left arm at the elbow.
"Ahhh...!" Hiashi screamed, his right hand clamping down on the wound as he prepared to seal his pressure points and stop the bleeding.
But Yasushi grabbed him and activated the Creation of All Things technique. The wound sealed shut instantly.
"You... you..." Hiashi's face twisted with shock and rage, utterly confused about what Yasushi intended.
Then he felt an intense itching sensation where his arm had been severed—like insects crawling beneath his skin.
He instinctively moved to swat at it, but Yasushi casually grabbed his right arm and snapped it as well. Then, gripping Hiashi by the shoulder, he observed the changes occurring at the severed limb with keen interest.
Under the influence of Yasushi's dojutsu, the muscle tissue at the wound began slowly writhing and growing. Even the severed bone was regenerating, bit by bit—though the process was extraordinarily slow.
After several dozen minutes, Hiashi's severed forearm had finally regrown completely.
Hiashi gently flexed his newly regenerated fingers, his face filled with horror.
"This... this... Limb regeneration!"
"What manner of medical ninjutsu is this?"
"Even Lady Tsunade couldn't accomplish such a feat!"
