Chapter 1069 - Chapter 1067: A Gravely Injured Body

Three seconds of disconnection.

Cain finally realized that the position he was in had been arranged by his Tyranitar.

Because when he was a little Larvitar, he liked to sleep in that posture.

Probably because it was more comfortable for him to sleep that way.

A few black lines appeared on Cain's forehead.

And seeing his Tyranitar still entertained playing with the three Skuntank not far away, Cain didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Luckily, Tyranitar was quite sensitive to changes in the sand bed he had created.

Instinctively, he turned his head and noticed that Cain had opened his eyes.

He got excited instantly and stood up abruptly.

The three Skuntank flattened themselves against the ground, not daring to move.

Tyranitar took three long strides and arrived next to Cain.

"Lift me... please," said Cain with difficulty. Even moving his lips slightly caused intense pain.

He didn't use telepathy because he noticed his psychic power seemed to be undergoing some kind of change; he couldn't use it at the moment.

With no other option, he had to resort to the most basic form of communication.

Tyranitar had to get very close to hear that barely audible voice.

He showed a doubtful expression.

Wasn't that position comfortable?

Seeing his expression, Cain felt his face turning black. If he didn't already have one cheek against the ground, his whole face would have been black as coal.

Fortunately, Tyranitar obeyed.

But when Tyranitar moved Cain's body, Cain felt a tearing pain once again.

When Tyranitar transformed his sand bed into a majestic chair and placed Cain in a sitting position, Cain's face was completely pale, with not a trace of color in his lips.

Cold sweat ran down his forehead.

Although the black sweat he had expelled earlier had already dried, his appearance was still quite disastrous.

He also gave off an unpleasant odor.

Luckily, he was already used to it.

And even if he wanted to clean himself, his body was in no condition.

Once seated, he could at least breathe a bit more normally.

He asked the system to scan the condition of his body.

The result: gravely injured. Many tissues, muscles, and blood vessels had suffered varying degrees of damage. The only good thing was that his vital organs weren't too affected, so his life wasn't in danger.

With that result, Cain was able to breathe a sigh of relief.

He trusted that, with time, his body could recover on its own.

However, staying in that place wasn't safe. He didn't know the environment either.

Where did Tyranitar stand in comparison to the wild Pokémon in the area?

But the important thing was that he had woken up.

That already made everything easier.

After a short rest, Cain regained the ability to speak.

Although his facial muscles still hurt, at least it no longer felt like tearing with each word.

He asked Tyranitar to hand him the Poké Balls hanging from his waist.

And he summoned his Pokémon.

Normally, Cain only carried six Pokémon with him. The rest were stored in a special device.

The ones that appeared were: Slowking, Florges, Blaziken, Aggron, Swampert, and the first one he had summoned: Tyranitar.

Slowking and Florges ensured basic safety. Slowking was one of his strongest Pokémon, and the move Teleport allowed him to decide whether to fight or flee.

Florges also offered battle security, but her healing power served as vital support.

Meanwhile, Blaziken, Tyranitar, Aggron, and Swampert were the Pokémon Cain most wanted to train in this space.

If the opportunity arose, he'd see what could be done.

According to the system scan, although he couldn't use his psychic powers and his body was heavily injured, both his psychic abilities and physical constitution would improve significantly after recovery.

In short: he had gained quite a bit.

Only, the recovery process was slow.

Cain tried to have Florges heal him, but it had little effect.

The conclusion was clear: the injuries were caused by spatial energy, and normal healing methods didn't work. Only his body could heal itself.

But once recovered, his sensitivity to space could increase drastically.

Physical recovery would also be a process of understanding spatial energy.

The only worrying thing was that his psychic powers were completely sealed.

He couldn't activate them, nor even feel them.

Luckily, with all his Pokémon by his side, basic safety was covered.

When the Pokémon appeared, they were concerned about his condition.

Three more hours passed. It was already getting dark and Cain could speak almost normally.

The three Skuntank that Tyranitar had subdued had now become his subordinates... or rather, his toys.

Seeing that Cain had so many strong Pokémon, they understood that they hadn't stumbled upon a rock... but a steel wall!

Cain sat on the sand chair made by Tyranitar, and was then lifted with the help of Slowking's psychic powers.

The three Skuntank now served as draft beasts. Florges used plant whips to tie them to the sand chair.

Thus, they pulled Cain and his Pokémon, slowly venturing into the forest.

Being the "local bosses," they knew the area well, so Cain decided not to harm them.

They could be useful.

At least for transportation, they were fine.

Under Tyranitar's "authority," the Skuntank didn't dare rebel. They obeyed without resistance, guiding the group toward a more habitable area.

At the very least, they needed a water source.

Once they thoroughly investigated the surroundings, they could start exploring the space.

As for his recovery, it would take time, but there was no rush. The area seemed relatively safe for now.

With two Elite-level Pokémon and four Quasi-Elite level ones, Cain had a team that, in any wild environment, would be considered top-tier.

The cautious approach was only to avoid unnecessary risks.

Very soon, they arrived at a small pond.

It was really small, about fifteen square meters, with signs of wild Pokémon life around.

According to the Skuntank, there weren't particularly strong Pokémon in that area. They had been the dominant ones—until Cain's arrival.

Tyranitar could easily handle all of them.

So they settled there.
