Everyone saw the opportunity and rushed forward, eager to fight Song Jie to the death!!
"Line up! No noise!"
The teacher standing in front, trying to maintain order, roared in anger.
But no one listened — the students were all pushing and shoving, desperate to get to the front.
The teacher's expression darkened. "Anyone who moves around or makes noise will be disqualified from the challenge!"
The noisy crowd finally quieted down.
"No one moves! If anyone changes position again, you can forget about challenging Song Jie!"
Once everyone settled, the teacher finally allowed the first four students to step into the arena.
"Hurry up and come over here!" Song Jie shouted impatiently.
Seeing Song Jie's anxious expression, the four challengers exchanged smug glances and deliberately walked at a slow pace.
But what they didn't know was — Song Jie was acting.
He had already defeated so many people that most students were starting to lose their fighting spirit.
Now, he wanted to lull them into thinking he was exhausted — to make them believe they could win.
"Come on already," Song Jie said with a smirk. "Let my summoned beast finish you quickly."
"This guy's too arrogant!!"
All four challengers were furious and rushed in without hesitation.
Thirty seconds later—
All four were lying outside the arena.
"Thirty seconds this time!"
"And two of them even managed to cast magic!"
"Did you see that? His summoned beast's speed is starting to drop!"
The crowd buzzed with excitement.
Song Jie's summoned beast looked tired — maybe even close to its limit. Everyone was waiting for the moment it would finally slow down to a crawl.
The students in line became even more eager. They wanted to be the ones to defeat him in front of the entire school!
Wave after wave of challengers came forward.
Song Jie's number of victories climbed to sixty.
In the audience, a few male students were watching from the stands.
"Bai Liang, looks like we don't need to lift a finger," a long-haired boy said with a smirk.
They had originally planned to gang up on Song Jie together, but now it seemed unnecessary.
"By the way, Bai Liang, why are you even targeting him?" another asked curiously.
After all, none of them were short on resources. They all came from rich families, and the school's rewards weren't enough to make them risk embarrassment.
Bai Liang's previous defeat by Song Jie hadn't been made public. He'd never admit it — it was too humiliating.
"I just don't like him," Bai Liang said flatly.
The others fell silent and turned their attention back to the arena.
Before long, Song Jie had already won eighty consecutive matches.
Although his summoned beast looked like it was on the verge of collapse, it still held on.
"The summoned beast's definitely about to give out!" someone shouted excitedly. "It can't keep this up much longer!"
The next group of four challengers grinned eagerly. This was their chance!
Meanwhile, the students behind them watched with envy — if Song Jie fell now, they wouldn't even get a turn.
As the four challengers entered the arena, Bai Liang suddenly narrowed his eyes.
"Damn it, that guy Dongfang Ming actually went up!" the noble youth beside him cursed.
Dongfang Ming — a prodigy from the Dongfang Family in Magic City. Not someone to be underestimated.
"This guy's cunning," another said coldly. "He's been waiting all this time just to take advantage of Song Jie's weakened state!"
"Without his summoned beast, Song Jie doesn't stand a chance," one muttered.
But Bai Liang only sneered. "Don't underestimate him. He still has a trump card he hasn't used."
"What?" the others turned toward him in surprise.
"Just watch. Dongfang Ming won't be able to beat him," Bai Liang said, his tone heavy.
He still feared Song Jie's light element magic.
The reason he'd joined forces with these mid-level mages was simple — he wanted to wait until Song Jie had almost completed his hundred-win streak… and then crush him completely.
Only then would he feel truly satisfied.
"Brothers, whether we win or not depends on this round!" Dongfang Ming shouted to his team.
The other three nodded excitedly. With Song Jie's beast on its last legs, this was their best chance.
"Watch me!"
An earth mage rushed forward, his star track flashing into existence.
"Ground Wave!"
The ground beneath Song Jie cracked open violently — but before he could fall, vines wrapped around his waist and lifted him away.
"Damn it!" the earth mage cursed. He had almost succeeded.
But the next second, a vine lashed toward him like a whip.
"Careful!"
A water mage quickly completed his star track and cast Water Guard!
But the basic defense spell couldn't withstand Xiaolu's strike.
With a bang, the shield shattered, and the earth mage was sent flying out of the arena.
"Let me freeze it!" the ice mage shouted. His stars lit up in an instant.
"Ice Vine! Condense!"
In a flash, frost spread across the entire battlefield, freezing every vine solid.
"Good chance!!"
Dongfang Ming's eyes lit up — this was the moment he'd been waiting for.
In his spiritual world, forty-nine stars connected rapidly, forming a blazing red hexagram beneath his feet.
Everyone in the stands gasped.
"That's— that's an intermediate magic star map!!"
There was actually a mid-level mage among the challengers!
Excitement swept through the crowd.
Song Jie must be finished this time!
Dongfang Ming could already picture the cheers and glory awaiting him. He clenched his flaming fist and growled:
"Fiery Fist!!"
Boom!!
Flames burst from his arm, and a wave of scorching heat swept across the arena.
He hurled his burning punch straight toward Xiaolu.
As long as he destroyed Song Jie's summoned beast, Song Jie would have nothing left to rely on!
But Song Jie's expression didn't show fear — only surprise.
He hadn't expected that among these four challengers, someone had been hiding as a mid-level mage all along.
"This guy… the old Sixth, huh?" Song Jie muttered, his eyes narrowing.
Mid-level mages always liked to show off their superiority.
But this one? He'd hidden his power the entire time—
—pretending to be just another challenger.
A true sixth brother move.
