Chapter 6 - CHAPTER 6: SUN LENGEND FLASHBACK

After Yuto returned to the quarters, his body was battered and bruised from the grueling seven-day survival trial. He collapsed to one knee before Yuzi, his mentor, his breathing heavy but his eyes determined."I… I've survived, Master Yuzi," Yuto whispered, exhaustion threading through his voice.Yuzi looked at him with pride. "You did well, Yuto. I'm proud of you."With a faint smile, Yuto reached into his bag and slowly drew his katana. The room darkened for an instant as a faint golden glow began to pulse from the blade. Then, as if awakened by destiny itself, a sun-shaped symbol appeared, burning brightly on the steel.Yuzi's eyes widened in disbelief. "T-The Sun Mark… impossible." Without a word, he lifted Yuto by the arm and hurried him to the chamber of Master Masauru, the Grand Master of the quarters. When they arrived, Yuzi explained everything. Master Masauru listened silently, his eyes narrowing as he studied the glowing katana. Then, with a deep voice that resonated through the hall, he ordered, "Summon everyone."Moments later, the quarters filled with warriors, all standing in silence as the Master took the dais."After so many years," he declared, his voice heavy with awe, "the power of the Sun has reawakened. The wielder of that power… is Yuto Hinata."A wave of shock rippled through the crowd. The Sun Power hadn't been seen for centuries—it was known as the hardest to master, a divine force of life and destruction.Yuto stepped forward, trembling. "Master… who was the last Sun Legend?"Masauru gazed into the distance, as if peering through time itself. "His name was Yoko Mujitoto—the first and last true Sun Legend. He led the Five Legends in the final battle against the Devil King, Akuma Ikari. It was Yoko's Sun Power that sealed Akuma away after a war that scorched the heavens themselves."As the master spoke, the flames in the hall flickered and dimmed. The warriors could almost see the past—five heroes standing against the enormous shadow of Akuma. Yoko stood at the center, his body wrapped in golden fire, his blade burning like a falling star. He and his comrades unleashed their powers to imprison the Devil King, but one by one, every legend fell. Their weapons remained as eternal relics… all but one."The weapon of the Sun Legend," Masauru continued, "vanished after the battle. To claim it, one must first master every form of the Sun Power."Yuto clenched his fists, eyes burning with determination. "Then I'll bring it back, Master. I'll become strong enough to reclaim that weapon."Masauru's expression softened with pride. "Then prepare yourself, Yuto Hinata. Tomorrow begins your first mission as the successor of the Sun Legend."The hall fell silent as the mark on Yuto's katana flared once more—casting a golden light that cut through the darkness, like the first dawn after endless night.
