Chapter 41 - Madonna of Kuoh Academy

That's precisely why Rian distributed his attribute points evenly.

His current VIT value of 24 attribute points wasn't enough to regenerate his brain automatically at high speed.

Maintaining Infinity active continuously for eight days was possible without issue, but any longer, and his brain would overheat.

Rian remained still for a moment, then murmured softly, as if lamenting his fate:

"This handsome man… has been physically attacked by his own kouhai. The world truly is cruel."

He stayed lying on the grass, gazing at the blue sky glimpsed through the canopy above.

The midday breeze stirred gently, causing strands of his hair to sway.

For a moment… Rian felt a sense of peace amidst the small chaos he had created himself.

"Heh, not bad…" he muttered lightly. "Being a high school student again… actually suits this handsome man quite well."

At first, Rian had been rather annoyed. How could he not be? The Infinity Room Control System had assigned him the identity of a high school student and even reduced his height from 180 cm to 170 cm.

If his role had been a teacher, a school security officer, or even a janitor… he might have accepted it.

But starting from scratch as a high school student? For Rian, who was actually 25 years old, it felt… like being punished by not using sunscreen on a summer beach day.

Still, putting aside the fact that this seemingly peaceful and pristine world held hidden dangers…

Rian knew all too well: the calmest threats are often the deadliest.

The aura of entities, the structure of power, and the faint spiritual atmosphere — all indicated that something was waiting to erupt.

Yet, for Rian, who had witnessed the chaos of the Resident Evil world:

The blood-soaked turmoil that engulfed entire cities.

Humans driven mad by fear.

Insane experiments devoid of morality…

All potential dangers this world might hold felt… far less threatening.

Slowly, Rian rose from his reclining position, now sitting on the cool, green grass.

"Even so…" he said, letting out a light breath, "carrying out missions remains this handsome man's top priority."

Rian stood, patting the back of his pants to brush off any lingering leaves and dust with his signature elegant flair.

"According to this handsome man's predictions, it should soon be the perfect time to meet them," he said casually.

"Very well. From now on," Rian continued, "this handsome man has refreshed himself enough for the day. It's time to begin the mission."

With light yet purposeful steps, Rian started moving away from the shade of the tree.

The hallways of Kuoh Academy buzzed with the typical activity of break time. Some students chatted and laughed, discussing after-school plans or club activities.

The rest merely passed by, carrying lunch or enjoying a moment of free time.

Yet, amid the usual bustle, two figures walking down the corridor instantly captured everyone's attention.

Their steps were calm and graceful, yet exuded a charm that forced all eyes to follow them.

The first, a girl with long, rose-red hair cascading down to her waist. Her face was stunningly beautiful, her height and figure perfectly proportioned, radiating an unmistakable aura of nobility.

Not only physically attractive, she also possessed a natural charisma that captivated anyone who gazed at her for more than a second.

This was Rias Gremory: the number one Madonna of Kuoh.

Beside her walked a woman with long black hair tied neatly at the back. Her smile was gentle yet mysterious. She was tall and slender, her movements calm but carrying a charm just as potent.

This was Akeno Himejima.

"Woah… Gremory-senpai and Akeno-senpai…"

"They look amazing today too…"

"Kuh… I'll never be brave enough to talk to them."

"Senpai are like goddesses…"

Whispers of admiration spread from one end of the hallway to the other. Some students tried to maintain their composure, yet their eyes couldn't look away.

The female students watched in awe as well—not out of envy, but because both were simply too mesmerizing to ignore.

They weren't just popular; they were the very symbols of elegance at Kuoh Academy.

From the other side of the crowded hallway, Rian Andromeda appeared, immediately drawing attention.

His steps were casual yet confident. His long hair swayed with each stride, as if moving to the rhythm of his walk, like a dramatic scene lifted straight from another world.

The dark sunglasses perched elegantly on his face, concealing the rarely seen blue eyes beneath.

Yet Rian's sheer handsomeness was enough to set whispers spreading once again.

"Is that… the new student?"

"He's walking straight toward Rias-senpai and Akeno-senpai!?"

"Insane… insane… It's like a secret event in an otome game."

"I just realized… he's the Secret Route Boss, isn't he?!"

"Could he… be a hidden character?!"

Some girls even began calling him by a new title: "Secret Route Boss."

The title hadn't come from any power he wielded, but from an uncanny charisma that made him feel untouchable.

And now, the two central magnets of Kuoh—Rias Gremory and Akeno Himejima—stood waiting, unaware that they had become part of a scene dictated by fate.

Rian stopped directly in front of them. The hallway suddenly felt quieter than usual.

Behind the dark sunglasses, Rian's Six Eyes worked tirelessly, capturing details invisible to ordinary people.

His gaze swept over the two women before him. Not merely seeing… but reading them at a rapid, precise pace.

The heat radiating from their bodies was far beyond that of normal humans. Yet that wasn't what drew Rian's primary attention—it was the foreign energy softly glowing within them.

Rias Gremory: her energy was purely dark, yet stable and deep. Unlike humans. Too precise, too "clean" in its darkness, as if it originated from noble blood that had never been tainted.

Akeno Himejima was different. Her energy was blended. Something foreign lingered within, as if two distinct bloodlines were intertwined inside her body.

Yet it was harmonious, despite the internal tension. One line bright… the other shadowed.

It was already clear—they were not human.

Rian remained calm, though his mind processed hundreds of possibilities in mere seconds.

Of all the non-human entities he had detected in Kuoh, these two ranked at the top. Alongside one more: the tiny girl he called "Kouhai-chan."

Her energy was also mixed; yet its nature differed from Akeno's. More primal, more restrained… as if sealed tightly within her small body.

Returning his attention to Rias and Akeno, Rian noticed… they were smiling. Sweet, polite smiles, yet with a hint of confusion lingering in their eyes.

Rian offered a faint smile of his own.

His shoulders tilted slightly to one side, posture relaxed yet still graceful. He didn't immediately lock eyes with the two Kuoh Academy primadonnas.

Instead, his gaze drifted toward the hallway beside them, as if their beauty wasn't his main focus.

"Handsome man here hears…" he said lightly, his calm voice blending with the low hum of the corridor, "…you're from the Occult Research Club, right?"

The tone wasn't intimidating; rather, it was too calm—like someone who knew more than they should.

Rias, ever graceful, kept her smile, though her eyes held a trace of caution.

Akeno, on the other hand, fixed Rian with a sharper gaze. Her mysterious smile remained, but there was a playful glint lurking within.

"Yes, that's right," Rias replied politely. "Is there something we can help you with?"

And then—in a movement faster than a flash—Rian's right hand shifted. Not with any special energy typical of their world. Just a clean, elegant motion that no ordinary human eye could follow.

Yet for the eyes of Rias and Akeno, something was unmistakable. The motion wasn't merely fast—it carried an unfamiliar quality.

Two black roses suddenly appeared in midair, as if born from nothingness. No magical energy, no trace of a spell—just… there.

Rias and Akeno's pupils widened for a moment, reacting to the mysterious manifestation. Even they, accustomed to supernatural phenomena, felt something uncanny… and compelling.

Rian straightened once more. This time, he looked directly into their eyes and extended the two black roses.

"I can perform magic tricks," he said calmly. "So… may this handsome man join you?"
