Chapter 96 - Chapter 95: Genin Boruto

"Three years without diarrhea!"

"Oh, you little brats!" Kakashi yelped as Boruto's sudden sneak attack landed, his entire body stiffening in shock.

All the students froze, wide-eyed, watching Boruto—still in Naruto's childhood form—thrust his tiger-sealed fingers straight toward the Sixth Hokage's backside.

"B-Boruto… you…" Sarada's face turned bright red, torn between disbelief and embarrassment.

Sumire Kakei's cheeks were as red as a tomato. "B-Boruto…!"

"Wait, that's the Konoha Secret Taijutsu Ultimate Technique? That's… not what I imagined," Denki muttered, scratching his head.

"Yeah," Shikadai sighed, "I thought it'd be some powerful attack. Guess it's painful in a different way."

Boruto grinned mischievously. "It's not over yet, Kakashi-uncle!"

Wind Release chakra suddenly surged from his fingertips, sending Kakashi flying—only for his body to burst into a puff of smoke mid-air.

"Shadow Clone?!"

The students blinked in surprise, just as Boruto's own body dispersed into smoke as well.

"So both Boruto and the Sixth Hokage were clones," Iwabe realized.

"Thank goodness…" Sarada and Sumire exhaled in relief.

High up in the trees, Kakashi was still subconsciously covering his rear. Even though his clone took the hit, the memory feedback was vivid enough to make him flinch.

"I can't believe Boruto actually knows that move. Did Naruto teach him that?" he muttered bitterly. "Naruto, what the hell are you teaching your kid…?"

"Kakashi-uncle, there you are."

Boruto descended from the air, arms crossed, smirking down at the startled Sixth Hokage.

Kakashi straightened immediately, dropping his hand from his backside and putting on his calm teacher face. "Boruto."

"The fight's not over yet," Boruto teased, forming the tiger hand seal again. "You should reflect on your pain properly, Kakashi-uncle."

"W-wait—!" Kakashi instinctively backed up, raising a hand in panic. "The test is over! You all passed!"

"Over? I feel like we're just getting started." Boruto smirked. "My dad always regretted not getting to hit you with the 'One Thousand Years of Death.' So, I'll fulfill his dream for him!"

"Wait a moment—!" Kakashi's eyes widened in horror as Boruto, once again transformed into young Naruto, lunged forward.

Later, all the students stood in formation on the training ground. Boruto stood lazily, hands in his pockets as usual.

"Boruto," Sarada asked, "that was a Shadow Clone earlier… what were you doing?"

"Nothing much," Boruto said nonchalantly. "Just having a little chat with Kakashi-uncle."

Shino appeared before them, his voice calm but firm. "In this exam, abandoning your comrades would only lead to failure. Working together is the right answer."

"Real missions are filled with challenges," he continued. "Overcoming them requires teamwork and unshakable resolve."

He formed a hand seal, and the bandages on his body vanished in a puff of smoke—revealing a Konoha forehead protector.

"From this moment on, you are all Genin!"

The students erupted in cheers.

Iwabe's eyes filled with tears. "Finally! I'm a Genin!"

Everyone celebrated, laughter echoing through the clearing. Joy, pride, and excitement filled their hearts as they looked ahead to the future.

Boruto touched the new forehead protector on his head and smiled faintly. "A Genin, huh?"

At the edge of the field, Kakashi, Konohamaru, Anko, and Iruka watched the students proudly.

"It's too early to celebrate," Kakashi said lightly.

"How are this year's graduates?" Iruka asked.

"Not bad," Kakashi replied. "They've got spirit—and a bit of recklessness." His eyes lingered on Boruto, who was still grinning lazily.

"That's good to hear," Iruka said with a nod. Then he smirked. "By the way, Sixth Hokage… why are you still holding your backside?"

Kakashi froze, forcing a laugh. "Ah, that—haha—I just slipped earlier. Nothing serious."

He quickly changed the subject. "Anyway, there are a few promising students this year who deserve extra attention."

"Oh?" Iruka glanced toward Anko—who was covering her swollen cheek. "Anko-sensei, what happened to you?"

Anko gave an awkward smile. "I… fell. Just like the Sixth Hokage."

Later that evening, inside the Uzumaki home—

"I'm home," Boruto called softly as he stepped inside.

"Big Brother!" Himawari's cheerful voice echoed as she ran up, beaming.

When she saw the forehead protector on his head, her eyes sparkled. "Congratulations on becoming a Genin!"

Boruto grinned and patted her head. "Thanks, Himawari."

Hinata peeked out from the kitchen, holding a spatula. "Boruto, you're back. How was the exam?"

"Piece of cake, Mom," Boruto said confidently. "Didn't even break a sweat."

Just then, Naruto walked in from the hallway, smiling proudly. "Congratulations, Boruto. You're officially a Genin."

Boruto smirked. "Yo, Dad—you're home early."

"Of course," Naruto said warmly. "My son becoming a Genin is something worth celebrating."

Dinner was lively that night, the table filled with Hinata's best dishes.

Boruto took a bite and let out a satisfied sigh. "Delicious. Mom, your cooking just keeps getting better."

Naruto raised his cup. "Here's to your new beginning, Boruto. The path ahead will be tough, but I know you'll walk it well."

Boruto clinked his juice cup against his father's. "Cheers!"

After dinner, Boruto lay in his room, relaxed and content.

Suddenly, space rippled beside his bed—and Sarada appeared silently.

Without a word, she slipped under the covers and rested against his chest.

"Boruto…" she whispered softly.

He looked down at her. "What's wrong?"

After a moment's hesitation, Sarada murmured, "Tomorrow… how about you go with Sumire Kakei instead?"
