Chapter 51 - Chapter 51 Cyberpunk 2077

Umbrella Corporation – Conference Room

Nathan Hawke, Wesker, Andrew, the Invisible Man, Electro, Sengoku Ryoma, and Cruz were discussing the candidates for their upcoming time-travel mission.

"I can't go. My schedule's completely packed lately," the Invisible Man spoke first.

Cruz followed, "As much as I'd love to see another world, the workload in the genetic engineering division is insane right now. I'll pass."

"I'm not going either," Andrew said flatly. "I've been training my telekinesis for a while now. I'll keep at it until I feel I've reached the next stage."

Everyone nodded in understanding. Ever since that day when they defeated the injured super-star being, Andrew had realized how weak he truly was. From that moment, he began training relentlessly, no longer in the mood to play hero—or attend parties.

As for that fallen super-star, it was currently being studied in Umbrella's underground laboratory.

"Anyone else not going?" Nathan Hawke asked, glancing around the table.

When no one replied, he tapped the table lightly with his index finger and made the decision."Then our team will be: myself, Wesker, Electro, and Sengoku Ryoma."

"Prepare what you need. Meet at the usual place in thirty minutes."

Thirty minutes later…

Wesker and Electro were both wearing their combat suits, while Sengoku Ryoma donned his special uniform and carried a briefcase.

Nathan nodded. "Once everyone's ready, we move."

A hexagram glowed beneath their feet, and a brilliant light engulfed them.

Nighttime.

The four appeared in the middle of a vast desert. The night wind swept past them, carrying a dry chill. The world was silent except for the howling gusts that stirred up waves of golden sand.

Nathan Hawke, Wesker, Electro, and Ryoma stood in the barren expanse—nothing around but dunes, rock, and a sky full of stars beneath a pale moon.

"Where are we?" Electro asked curiously, eyes gleaming with electric light.

"Cyberpunk 2077," Nathan replied calmly.

"Cyberpunk 2077? I know Cyberpunk, but you mean like Blade Runner or something?" Ryoma asked.

"Something like that," Nathan said, looking at a message only he could see:

[Traverse the Worlds: Cyberpunk 2077]Stay Duration: 7 daysAllowed Companions: 1 (voluntary)

Wesker's eyes narrowed as he scanned the horizon. His instincts sharpened.

Suddenly, he said, "A group of bikers is coming this way."

Moments later, a gang of scavengers roared toward them on motorcycles, headlights cutting through the night.

Nathan and his team remained calm, unfazed by the approaching menace. Wesker stepped forward, placing himself between the others and the gang, his cold eyes locked on the leader.

"Well, well, what do we have here? Some lost lambs trying to make a name for themselves in Night City? Or did you idiots just wander into our turf on purpose?" the scavenger leader sneered, his eyes glinting greedily.

Wesker said nothing. He simply stared.

"What are you looking at? Never seen a handsome man before? Hahaha!" the scavengers laughed mockingly.

Then one of them stepped forward and whispered to the leader, pointing. "Boss, look—they've got no implants. They're pure humans."

The leader's eyes widened in excitement as he studied Nathan's group. So clean. So untainted. Their organs would fetch a high price from the city's black market elites.

"Well, look at that," the leader grinned wickedly, stepping closer to Nathan. "A bunch of fresh meat that doesn't know where they are. Lucky night for me—I've got some rich buyers waiting."

The scavengers laughed darkly, their eyes gleaming with bloodlust.

"You've got one minute," the leader said, drawing a knife and making a slicing motion across his throat. "Drop your weapons, strip down, and kneel—or else…"

Nathan's face remained blank. His voice turned cold."You'd better walk away. Now. Or deal with the consequences."

The leader scoffed. "Let's see what you've got, tough guy."

Before the scavengers could make a move, Electro vanished in a flash of blue lightning. In the blink of an eye, he reappeared before the leader—and with a crackling spark, pierced his throat clean through.

The gang froze in horror. None of them had even seen him move.

Wesker darted forward next, a black blur among them. His hands were like steel claws—he grabbed one scavenger by the throat and crushed it effortlessly, blood spraying across the sand. Another tried to retaliate, but Wesker was faster—his claws slashed, and the man's head fell before he could even scream.

Panic set in. The scavengers realized too late that they were up against monsters.

"Monster! Monster!" someone screamed as others desperately injected combat drugs to boost themselves.

Wesker's expression didn't change. To him, they were nothing but insects. He tore through them methodically—each movement clean, efficient, fatal.

Their bullets and blades were useless. Wesker's body absorbed the attacks with ease, and every counterstrike left another corpse in the sand.

Within minutes, the gang was annihilated.

Electro stood beside Wesker, electricity crackling off his arms before fading. He clenched his fists, face calm once again.

"Let's move. Keep going," Nathan said evenly.

Using a scavenger's tracker, they determined the route to Night City.

After about an hour of walking, they reached the outskirts of Night City.

The northern industrial district was a maze of dark, narrow alleys, lit only by flickering neon. They stepped into the Maelstrom Gang's territory — the walls were carved with eerie metallic tattoos, and the streetlights flickered with cybernetic eyes, watching them.

A group of Maelstrom members appeared at the alley entrance, their gaze cold and manic. They quickly surrounded Nathan's team, laughing mockingly.

"Well, look what we have here — a bunch of flesh-and-blood sheep with no implants wandering into our turf."

"Lost, are you? This part of Night City ain't for newbies."

"Go home before you embarrass yourselves!"

Their cybernetic bodies glowed under the neon light — grotesque and intimidating.

"You Maelstrom boys have quite the reputation," Nathan said calmly. "I heard you're obsessed with net-tech. Some say you've even gone full cyber-psycho?"

One of them snarled. "You've got a death wish, huh? You dare talk like that here?"

"Death wish?" Ryoma smirked. "Maybe it's you who's tired of living."

Electro chuckled, his voice echoing eerily through the alley. "You should thank us. At least we have the confidence to walk through your turf without fear. Maybe you should learn from that."

Wesker said nothing, but his eyes—cold and sharp—spoke louder than words.

The Maelstrom members grew furious, their implants humming with energy as they prepared to attack.

But Nathan simply raised his hand. "Easy. We're just passing through. We're not interested in your little playground."

The gang hesitated, caught off guard. They didn't expect these strangers to simply walk away.

"What's wrong? Scared already?" one of them mocked.

Another snorted. "Forget talking. Let's show them my new jaw mod!"

Nathan gave a faint, dismissive smile. "Scared? No. We just don't waste time on weaklings."
