Chapter 83 - Chapter 82: Arriving at the Camp — Something Strange Happened in the Forest!

Whoosh!

Ethen lunged forward and grabbed the chubby boy, while XLR8 immediately seized the boy's ankle.

"I'll carry him to the car. You carry the alien woman!"

They spoke at the same time, exchanged a glance—

And nodded.

Finally, the prototype tool transformed into chains, tightly binding Speed Woman.

XLR8 hoisted her up and carried her back.

Ethen carried the unconscious chubby boy on his back, walking step by step toward the old, broken car.

"I carried Speed Woman because I wanted to prove one thing… I am the strongest!"

XLR8 declared proudly, his expression twisted with effort.

Inside the old RV—

Biu~ biu~

A crisp notification sounded.

The Fate Watch on Ethen's wrist flashed pink and directly retracted Speed Woman.

Ethen let out a long breath and collapsed onto the bed.

"I'm not transforming today."

After hearing the whole story, Grandpa Max looked utterly incredulous.

"Are your aliens really that bizarre?"

Ben rubbed his chin thoughtfully.

"Could this be the punishment for cheating too hard?"

"This boy's clothes have a camp logo," Gwen said, shivering slightly as she pointed at the chubby boy's arm.

"It says Camp Opinicon. And his hand…"

"Hm? What about it?" Grandpa Max lifted the boy's sleeve.

The skin underneath was completely covered in deep purple fungi.

It looked grotesque—unnatural.

Grandpa Max immediately took out disinfectant, cleaned the area, then returned to his seat.

"I saw a sign for Camp Opinicon earlier," he said seriously.

"Let's go check it out."

Whoosh!

He stepped on the accelerator.

The old car sped along the forest road at the foot of the mountain.

Deep in the woods on both sides—

Figures moved silently between the trees.

They watched the old car.

They watched the traces left behind by Ethen's earlier battle.

And then—

They began to move.

The old car followed the sign and finally entered Camp Opinicon, stopping in front of a brightly lit wooden cabin.

Ethen, Grandpa Max, and the others stepped out of the car.

They pushed open the slightly ajar main door and entered the hall.

"Excuse me… is anyone here?"

Grandpa Max asked cautiously.

His expression was puzzled.

Ethen frowned, scanning the surroundings.

The hall was filled with dining tables and chairs—but everything was in chaos.

Plates of spaghetti sat untouched, already spoiled.

Some had spilled onto the floor, red sauce splattered everywhere.

"Ugh…" Ben grimaced. "I'm starting to regret wearing sneakers."

"Why did everyone leave?" Gwen said quietly.

"They even left a child behind."

Ethen tried to recall the plot.

Damn it…

What he remembered best were the early episodes of Ben 10 Season 1, and classic storylines involving Vilgax, Kevin, and other major characters.

There was no way he could remember every detail.

Grandpa Max slowly walked through the hall, carefully observing.

"I don't think they left voluntarily," he said gravely.

"And they definitely wouldn't abandon a child. Which means… They likely encountered danger."

He stopped beside a dining table.

On it—

Fresh spaghetti.

Still steaming.

RUMBLE!!

A thunderclap exploded outside.

The entire cabin suddenly went dark.

Grandpa Max, Ben, and Gwen tensed, instinctively reaching for their flashlights.

Ethen calmly placed his hand on the mechanical scabbard on his back.

Click.

The prototype tool transformed into an oversized flashlight.

Ethen held the prototype tool flashlight in one hand—

And the Sword of Bezel in the other.

Bright light flooded the hall.

His expression was relaxed, steady.

"It's alright," he said calmly. "I've got this."
