Chapter 246 - Chapter 245: Fierce Battle with the Blood Demon Lord

As the Blood Demon Lord, mundane affairs could no longer pique his interest in the slightest.

What if he was the last Wendigo? He wasn't like the King of the Carrion Eaters. Regarding his former 'comrades' of the Ten Royal Courts, if an opponent stood against him, then killing them was simply killing them. He wasn't curious about what the blood inside the last pure-blooded Wendigo tasted like... not at all curious.

However, bored, he heard that the King of the Carrion Eaters had met that Wendigo, and in the end, there was no battle, nor did he keep him; instead, he allowed him to leave.

Then, according to intelligence from his scouts, there was a mysterious powerful individual hidden within the Wendigo's group at the time. Under the threat of that individual, the King of the Carrion Eaters, who had no intention of fighting anyway, abandoned his plan to forcibly keep the Wendigo.

A powerful individual... the blood of a powerful individual piqued a slight interest in him... Furthermore, Theresis was not in Kazdel at the moment, so bored, he decided to go for a stroll, purely to pass some time.

When the Rhodes Island convoy passed by, he didn't even raise an eyelid. Although these people were hostile to Theresis, normally he wouldn't mind cleaning up such scum along the way, but now his attention was on that Wendigo and that mysterious powerful individual, so he couldn't be bothered to deal with these few 'rats'.

However, he suddenly noticed a 'sharp' gaze cast from the Rhodes Island convoy.

"A powerful individual?" Following the gaze, he only saw a little girl staring at him with a surprised expression.

"Who is this? Her expression suggests she knows me?"

Just as the Blood Demon Lord was searching his memories for any powerful children, he saw the child suddenly rush out of the convoy.

Her straight trajectory immediately made him realize that her target was him.

As she got closer, the sense of oppression he felt deepened, making him involuntarily excited.

In the past game, there had been no depiction of a battle between the Blood Demon Lord and Rhodes Island, so Kanna was unaware of his actual combat capabilities.

However, she had once sparred with Ascalon under Kal'tsit's supervision. When Kanna didn't use Originium Arts, the result was that after a 'scrubbing' from Ascalon comparable to the Fourth Hokage, Kanna didn't even lose a sliver of health. Moreover, with the mysterious Originium Arts, Ascalon not only appeared everywhere in the shadows but could also interfere with Kanna's perception, making it impossible for Kanna to catch her.

The match ended in a draw. Of course, everyone knew that in a deathmatch, Ascalon would be the only one to lose. After all, the release of Originium Arts wasn't infinite, but powerful defense was very real.

Ascalon, unable to break Kanna's defense, would eventually be defeated by Kanna.

And the Blood Demon Lord was also powerless against Ascalon, so at most, the Blood Demon Lord would be evenly matched with Kanna if she didn't use her abilities.

But now, because she was unsure of his strength, Kanna could be said to be going all out from the moment they met.

Mid-route, her silver-white pupils had already opened, and her entire body was continuously emitting crackling lightning outwards.

Sensing Kanna's hostile intent, the Blood Demon Lord waved his large hand. From the shadows beneath his feet, streams of blood flowed out, transforming into sharp blades that shot directly towards Kanna.

The instant the blade tips were about to pierce Kanna's eyes, a massive current, clearly visible to the naked eye, erupted from Kanna's entire body.

The moment the current touched it, the viscous blood was directly vaporized by the high temperature and ionization. The air was filled with a smell like rust.

The Blood Demon Lord, who had initially looked curious, showed an expression of disbelief on his calm face the moment of contact. Then, before the spreading electric field could touch him, he abruptly leaped backward, narrowly dodging Kanna's point-blank lightning explosion.

Once the smoke and dust cleared, the Blood Demon Lord found no trace of Kanna where she had stood before.

Left? Or right?

In a life-or-death situation, the Blood Demon Lord displayed the combat experience of a veteran Sarkaz.

When he lost sight of Kanna, he simultaneously condensed blood behind him to protect his blind spots and used the scent of wind and blood to locate Kanna.

Suddenly, a sense of oppression came from his rear left. With a flick of his wrist, the blood beneath his feet transformed into several long spears that stood by his side, then shot like arrows from a bowstring in the direction from which he sensed the killing intent.

Kanna looked somewhat surprised at the blood spears shooting directly towards her. Clenching her fists, her small fists, imbued with powerful electricity, easily shattered each blood spear into a bloody powder with a single punch.

On the other side, the Blood Demon Lord didn't stay put while attacking. From Kanna's terrifying linear speed when she approached, he knew that if he wanted to run, he absolutely couldn't outrun her. He didn't want to die here, so he had to find a breakthrough.

After a quick scan of his surroundings, he found an excellent escape route.

Just as Kanna was dealing with the blood spears, he pushed off with his legs without hesitation and charged in the direction Kanna had come from. He had noticed that one of their vehicles had stopped, apparently preparing to pick up this terrifying little girl.

If he could get into the vehicle first and control the people inside, he could use them to negotiate and secure his escape.

Having made up his mind, he didn't hesitate for a second, using blood spears to hinder Kanna's steps while charging towards his target.

Due to her height, Kanna didn't immediately see the vehicle that had stopped to wait for her. However, the Blood Demon Lord's retreat route was in the direction her convoy was heading, so she didn't even need to guess to know what he was up to.

After all, with the Blood Demon Lord's combat prowess and Originium Arts, the more people there were, the stronger he became. As long as he tore open a single gap, his combat power would increase geometrically and rapidly.

This was much simpler than consuming his own blood and Originium Arts for a one-on-one fight.

Even though Kanna didn't believe the other party could catch up to the Rhodes Island convoy, she still quickened her pace.

Just as she jumped onto a small hill, she suddenly noticed a Rhodes Island vehicle stopped not far from where she had left. At this speed, in ten seconds at most, the Blood Demon Lord would rush to the vehicle.

Once he controlled the people inside, Kanna would inevitably be caught in a dilemma. Moreover, if an Operator died because of her, Kanna didn't know how she would explain herself upon returning.

With this thought, Kanna no longer resisted. Crossing her hands in front of her, she directly charged towards the Blood Demon Lord.

Seeing Kanna's action, the Blood Demon Lord initially felt a hint of mockery in his heart. After all, his attacks couldn't be easily blocked.
