Chapter 138 - Chapter 137: Hey! I'm Not Kidding!

Hearing the sound, Kanna happily opened her mission log.

Canteen Glutton: As a Dragon of Extreme Hunger, only by making all the catering staff of Rhodes Island tremble at your name can you truly display your might. Within one week, trigger no less than four 'kitchen wiped out' scenarios, involving no less than three different restaurants. Mission Reward: Designated Skill Enhancement Scroll.

Kanna couldn't help but frown after reading it.

What is this?

This mission looks down on me, doesn't it!

Such a simple mission, and it gives me a week.

One day, she only needed one day; if she couldn't complete it, she'd offer her head.

Breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, plus a late-night snack—not only would she complete the mission, but she'd also have plenty to spare.

"Host! You should consider, if you wipe out all the chefs on Rhodes Island in one day, what will everyone else eat? Who will cook the next day? Slow and steady wins the race."

Just as Kanna indignantly told the system that she could finish the mission in one day, the system finally couldn't take it anymore and displayed a new message.

Kanna's small face flushed after reading it.

"Eh heh!"

She really hadn't considered such a problem; she only thought such a simple mission would be easily completed with one round of eating.

Looking outside, it was nearing noon. Thinking that a week was neither long nor short, she decided to take out one restaurant today to complete one part of the mission first.

As soon as she thought of it, she acted. Kanna pulled her two companions and ran towards a nearby restaurant.

The Head Chef of the restaurant was happily preparing lunch for the Operators. Although he had previously fainted from being scared by Kanna and Cerberus, which made him a disgrace in Rhodes Island's culinary world, his exquisite cooking skills still allowed him to keep his job as Head Chef.

And from what he understood from others, that Young Dragon didn't always completely clear out the kitchen; last time was just a special accident.

However, when he looked up and saw that familiar figure, he suddenly felt that a nightmare seemed to have found him.

When Kanna and her two companions left the restaurant, all that remained were mountains of food waste and chefs collapsed on the floor, with the Head Chef twitching uncontrollably.

When he woke up in the Medical Department, he looked blankly at the busy doctors beside him. Thinking that his exhaustion was less than one ten-thousandth of theirs, he still decided to continue his career as a chef. However, having encountered Kanna twice in a row, he wondered if the feng shui of his restaurant's location was bad, so he approached Kal'tsit, hoping she could assign him to a different restaurant.

Normally, Kal'tsit wouldn't agree to such a request, but considering that he had indeed encountered Kanna's gluttony scene twice in a short few days, his psychological pressure must be immense. Kal'tsit consulted with other supervisors, and the Head Chef of the top-level restaurant agreed to swap with him.

He joyfully took his subordinates and swapped positions with that Head Chef, moving to the upper-level restaurant to continue his business.

A day later, Kanna felt she could continue with the mission, but she couldn't keep milking the same cow, so she decided to try a different restaurant.

The weather was nice today, and after discussing it, they decided to eat and then go play on the deck to digest their food, so they chose the restaurant closest to the deck.

The Head Chef, who had just recovered, hadn't even been happy for a day when that nightmarish figure arrived as scheduled.

The hungry dragon once again ravaged the entire restaurant. As Kanna and her group left, Kanna even complained to Rosmontis that the restaurants on Rhodes Island were all like chain stores, tasting the same.

But she didn't know that the moment they left, a sorrowful cry finally came from the kitchen. That day, one-third of the chefs decided to hang up their knives and never work in the industry again.

After the blow, the Head Chef seemed to have aged several years, but encouraged by the doctors, he looked at the Medical Department, still running tirelessly with exhausted faces, and ultimately decided to persevere.

He came to the Control Room hoping for help.

"Head Chef, hello, hello, is there anything we can help you with?" Outcast.

"What I'm about to say, please don't be scared." Head Chef.

"We are the highest management, we won't be scared." Outcast.

"These past two days, every time I open my restaurant, I encounter a hungry dragon." Head Chef.

Outcast and Amiya leaned back.

"Which hungry dragon is that?"

"It's not 'which one,' it's the hungry dragon that eats an entire restaurant in one meal!"

Amiya draws (Cerberus).

"Not a Pero, it's a dragon!"

Amiya continues drawing (Ifrit).

"Not that Rhine Lab one, it doesn't look that big."

Amiya is drawing (Kattie).

"It's a dragon, one that can discharge electricity, like 'bilibili'!"

Amiya's drawing was snatched by Outcast and modified (Pudding).

"The hungry dragon, that famous child on Rhodes Island! Do you understand?"

Outcast raised her hand, "Understood, please continue."

"I don't know what's going on. It's said that this hungry dragon only brings down a restaurant once every ten days or half a month, but in less than three days, I've met her twice and been eaten out twice, twice!"

"Pfft." Amiya couldn't hold back.

"What are you laughing at?" The Head Chef was furious.

"I remembered something happy."

"What happy thing?"

"I'm on vacation tomorrow, three days off."

"Pfft."

"What are you laughing at again?"

"I'm also off tomorrow."

"Are you both taking the same vacation?"

"Yes, yes… No, it just happened to coincide."

"I'm reiterating, I'm not kidding."

"Yes, yes."

Table thumping!!!!!

"Let's get back to the main topic. That hungry dragon you just mentioned, does she eat people?"

"It's not a matter of her eating people; it's that… it's an indescribable feeling. She eats so fast, yet you can't help but keep serving her at her pace…"

"Pfft."

"You're going too far, I've tolerated you for too long!"

"I'm on vacation tomorrow."

"You're clearly laughing at me, you haven't stopped!"

"Head Chef, we've undergone strict training. No matter how funny it is, we won't laugh," Amiya tilted her head, "unless we can't help it."

"How about this, Head Chef, you go back and wait for news. We'll investigate and give you a satisfactory answer."

Exiting the room.

"Hahahahahahaha."

Entering the room.

"Head Chef, is there anything else?"

Exiting the room.

"Hahahahahahaha."

Finally, after Kal'tsit returned and they renegotiated, he was assigned to the restaurant in the lowest section, where there were the fewest people and where Kanna basically never went. This restaurant was usually only visited by people looking for a quick bite before going out or after returning, besides ordinary civilians working in the lower levels.

Although this place was quite remote, the Head Chef accepted the transfer, thinking he could escape that terrifying figure, and brought his remaining subordinates here.
