Chapter 8 - Chapter 8:The countdown begins

As the days turned into weeks, Thelma and Jason found themselves getting closer to their final exams. They were determined to do well and make the most of their last year in secondary school.

Thelma's friends, Favour and Oyin, were also busy preparing for their exams. They would often meet up at the library to study together and quiz each other.

Emmanuel ,on the other hand, was still working on his business plan. He had taken Thelma and Jason's advice to heart and was determined to make his business a success.

One day, as Thelma and Jason were studying in the library, Emmanuel appeared at their table, looking confident. "Hey, guys, I just wanted to let you know that I got an investment for my business," he said, a huge smile on his face.

Thelma and Jason were thrilled for Emmanuel. "That's amazing news!" Thelma exclaimed. "We're so proud of you, Kunle."

Emmanuel 's face lit up with gratitude. "Thanks, guys. I couldn't have done it without your help. You're the best friends a guy could ask for."

As Emmanuel walked away, Thelma turned to Jason and smiled. "I'm so happy for him," she said. "He's really worked hard for this."

Jason nodded in agreement. "Yeah, he has. He's a great guy, and I'm sure his business will take off."

As they continued studying, Thelma couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement. She and Jason were almost done with secondary school, and they were on the cusp of a new chapter in their lives.

But as they studied, Thelma's mind began to wander. What would the future hold for her and Jason? Would they go to the same university? Would they stay together?

Thelma's thoughts were interrupted by Jason's voice. "Hey, Thelma, are you okay? You've been staring at that page for 10 minutes."

Thelma blushed, feeling embarrassed. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just got a bit distracted."

Jason smiled and took her hand. "Let's take a break," he said. "We can study some more later."

Thelma nodded, feeling grateful for Jason's understanding. They walked out of the library, enjoying the fresh air and each other's company.

As they strolled through the school grounds, Thelma couldn't help but feel a sense of nostalgia. She had spent so many happy years in this school, and she would miss it when she left.

But she knew that she had to look to the future. She and Jason had big plans, and they were going to make the most of their lives.

As they walked, Jason turned to Thelma and said, "You know, I've been thinking about our future. Have you given any more thought to what you want to study in university?"

Thelma nodded. "Yeah, I have. I think I want to study business. What about you?"

Jason smiled. "I'm thinking of studying engineering. But I think we should go to the same university."

Thelma's heart skipped a beat. "I'd like that," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Jason's eyes locked onto hers, and Thelma could see the love and adoration in them. "I love you, Thelma," he said, his voice filled with emotion.

Thelma's heart melted. "I love you too, Jason," she replied, her voice trembling with emotion.

As they hugged each other tightly, Thelma knew that she had found her soulmate in Jason. They would face the future together, no matter what it held.

The days turned into weeks, and the weeks turned into days. Thelma and Jason's exams were fast approaching, and they were determined to do well.

They studied hard, attending extra classes and revising every night. Emmanuel, Favour, and Oyin were also busy preparing for their exams.

Finally, the day of the exams arrived. Thelma and Jason were well-prepared, and they felt confident as they walked into the exam hall.

As they sat down at their desks, Thelma felt a sense of calm wash over her. She knew that she had worked hard, and she was ready for whatever the exams threw her way.

The exams were a blur of scribbling pens and turning pages. Thelma and Jason worked hard, answering each question to the best of their ability.

When the exams finally came to an end, Thelma and Jason let out a collective sigh of relief. They had done it! They had survived their final exams.

As they walked out of the exam hall, Thelma turned to Jason and smiled. "We did it!" she exclaimed.

Jason grinned, pulling her into a hug. "We sure did," he said. "Now, let's celebrate."

Thelma laughed, feeling a sense of excitement and freedom. She knew that she and Jason had a bright future ahead of them, and she couldn't wait to see what it held.

As they walked away from the exam hall, Thelma felt a sense of nostalgia wash over her. She would miss this place, but she knew that she was ready for the next chapter of her life.

Thelma and Jason's results were outstanding. They had worked hard, and it had paid off. They were overjoyed, and their friends and family were thrilled for them.

As they prepared to go to university, Thelma and Jason knew that they would face new challenges and opportunities. But they were ready, knowing that they had each other.

Thelma smiled, feeling grateful for the journey she had been on. She had met Jason, and they had fallen in love. They had supported each other through thick and thin, and they were ready to take on the world.

As they walked hand in hand, Thelma knew that she was exactly where she was meant to be. She was with the person she loved, and they were starting a new chapter in their lives together.

The future was bright, and Thelma couldn't wait to see what it held for her and Jason. She knew that they would face challenges, but she also knew that they would face them together.

And as they walked off into the sunset, Thelma smiled, knowing that she and Jason would always be together.
