Aethernus is the eternal realm where the essence of this magic comes from and mortal souls can transcend to either god/goddess or demon/demoness pending there journey. Children born with magic do not show signs of abilities until after their fifteenth birthday and are strong in the triad of magic but find themselves gifted in one of these factions:
1. Alchemists of the Covenant- The Innate of Symmetry born with the spark of calculation hear whispers in the numbers and formulas of creation. To them, mathematics is not mere logic but the script of the cosmos itself.
Gift: Understanding of formulas, mathematics, scientific foundations.
Mark: Their notes and chalkboards seem to shimmer with hidden patterns.
Warning: Knowledge without application gnaws at the mind until it seeks form in matter.
Limitations: Knowledge without application. Still bound to laboratory and tools.
2. Gypsy of the Covenant- The Innate of the Mind born to whispers of thought and flickers of unseen images are marked as Initiates. They are the seed from which higher ascension may grow.
Gift: Mind Reading, Smoke & Mirrors, Empathy.
Symbol: A single open eye, drawn within a spiral.
Warning: The gift is fragile; many go mad before ever reaching the first rite.
Limitations: Weak, unreliable, and easily resisted by strong minds. Illusions vanish under scrutiny.
3. Mystics of the Covenant- The Innate of Energy born with the faint spark of energy, the novice may conjure orbs of light, sparks of fire, and whispers of wind. Their runes are crude, but the gift is undeniable.
Gift: Basic spellcasting, minor healing, hexes, familiars.
Mark: Fingers crackle faintly with static; eyes shimmer when casting.
Warning: Sparks lead only to fire—those who pursue further cannot turn back.
Limitations: Weak spells, easily disrupted; requires focus objects.
