"Nahh." He finally answered. "I think I'm going let you feel exactly what your victims felt."
Von took off running again. Faster than he'd ever ran or imagined he'd run before. His eyes darted around to catch a glimpse of Aegon but saw nothing.
But his presence surrounded the alley like a suffocating mist. He felt as if he was lingering in every shadowed corner—watching, waiting.
His sprint unconsciously faltered, his muscles turned for rest and his dashes changed to a jog and, then just stumbles.
After about a minute of running, he finally reached the end of the alley.
A wall.
His eyes swept across the ominously silent path. Yet, he saw nothing.
His hands pressed into his knees, chest heaving without rhythm. His body was in disarray, but at least he'd gotten away.
Until—
~BAM!~
He turned his head slightly to the right and was met with a staggering sucker punch to the jaw.
