After a few hours of waiting their suits finally came in, too late for them to test it as the driver was already antsy to leave.
They were given to them in sleek black cases as they stepped into the car and proceeded back to the academy.
The car ride was supposed to be silent. Unfortunately, Aegon wouldn't be Aegon if he didn't have something to say.
"You work for the C.A.A?" He said flatly as she turned to Mira, who ignored him and lightly hit her head against the glass.
"Why can't you let this go? I told you already it's none of your business." She said without looking at him.
He persisted. "Except it can't be the C.A.A because they're actually concerned with the mercenary issue and you said your boss wasn't."
"Yeah." She added. "You've figured it out. Now you can relax."
"Why'd you let me save you? That day in the cafeteria, did you pretend to be helpless or did you actually need him?" His voice turned serious.
