Chapter 44 - "The Armament Goddess."

Vivi's smooth, pale arm slowly turned black right before Igaram's disbelieving eyes.

"Th-This is…"

The power of a Devil Fruit.

Could it be that Logan wasn't lying to Princess Vivi after all?!

Wait—something's off.A person can only eat one Devil Fruit, right?!

Igaram slapped his forehead. His brain was officially scrambled.

Vivi and Igaram's conversation didn't escape Logan's notice, but he didn't seem to care.

After all, Vivi was the princess of Alabasta—King Cobra's beloved daughter. And with Alabasta already torn apart by internal strife and outside threats, the kingdom couldn't afford any more chaos.

So it was natural that Igaram would be suspicious of him.

But truth would speak for itself soon enough.

Outside the hideout, a large crowd of bounty hunters had gathered.

Each one clutched a weapon, waiting for the signal. The second it came, they'd storm the place and capture Logan's crew in one go.

"Hahaha! Hope at least a couple of them are worth some real money. Don't wanna waste our time for nothing."

"Yeah, check the Navy's latest wanted posters—see if any of 'em match those guys inside."

The hunters muttered quietly among themselves.

Time ticked by.

"How long has it been?! The drug hasn't kicked in yet?!"

"What the hell is Mr. 8 doing?!"

Impatience spread through the group.

By now, the targets should've been tied up like pigs waiting for slaughter.

"Don't tell me something happened to Mr. 8!"

A few of the leaders frowned and exchanged glances—then signaled their men.

In an instant, over a hundred bounty hunters charged out of hiding—only to run straight into Logan

The atmosphere turned razor-sharp in a heartbeat.

"So what now? Not even pretending anymore?" Logan said, smirking at the crowd.

These were the same "friendly villagers" who'd welcomed them earlier. Now their smiles were gone, replaced with snarls and bloodlust.

"Bastards! What did you do to Mr. 8 and Miss Wednesday?!" shouted a scar-faced hunter, pointing his blade straight at Logan.

Seeing Logan and Tashigi alone, he immediately assumed Mr. 8 and Miss Wednesday were dead.

His words lit a fuse. The other hunters drew their weapons one after another.

Logan crossed his arms, watching the scene unfold with amusement.

Honestly? These guys were weak.Even Nami could mop the floor with them.

"Captain, let me handle this!" Tashigi said, eyes full of resolve.

Ever since Logan had given her the sword Wado Ichimonji and two Haki fruits, she hadn't slacked off once.

When she wasn't… ahem "spending time" with Logan, she was training.

Nami had once gone through a crazy training phase herself—to take down Arlong.

But for Tashigi, it wasn't about revenge. She just didn't want to disappoint Logan.

Day after day, she pushed herself to the limit—body training, sword drills, Haki practice—only stopping when she was drenched in sweat.

She was basically the "hardest worker" on Logan's crew.

"Go ahead," Logan said calmly. "Let's see how your training's paid off."

Tashigi gripped Wado Ichimonji tightly. Her palms were slick with sweat—this was her first time facing hundreds of opponents at once.

"Damn it! You dare mess with us here?! Kill them!!"

"Hey, little girl, let big bro show you how this game works!"

"…Yeah, that's not happening," Tashigi muttered.

The bounty hunters charged without a shred of pity, blades flashing in the sunlight.

Tashigi activated her Armament Haki, her sword turning pitch-black as she met their charge head-on.

She was like a goddess of war, cutting into their ranks. Her blade danced through the crowd—every slash clean, every motion precise.

Within seconds, men were dropping left and right.

The air filled with screams.

The hunters didn't stand a chance.

With her Observation and Armament Haki fully unleashed, Tashigi was on another level entirely—this was what Logan called "a dimensional difference."

"Shit! Watch out for her sword!"

"Help—!"

Slash!

Another clean strike.

Logan had taught her well—never show mercy to your enemy.

Soon, the chaos faded. The street was littered with bodies, the ground slick with blood.Every last hunter had been taken down by Tashigi alone.

From a distance, Logan nodded, clearly impressed.

"All of… these were your doing?"

Igaram stepped out from the hideout, mouth twitching at the sight before him.

That delicate-looking girl had wiped out over a hundred bounty hunters by herself?

Okay. Maybe he'd underestimated Logan's women just a little.

He knew for sure he couldn't have done that.

"Not bad, Tashigi," Nami said, giving her a thumbs-up.

Aside from the rather gruesome scene, everything was perfect.

Kaya stepped forward, using her healing powers to restore Tashigi's energy.

"Thanks, Kaya," Tashigi said with a deep breath, feeling her strength return.

Kaya smiled softly.

"Don't celebrate just yet," Igaram said suddenly, his expression darkening.

Everyone turned to look at him in confusion.

"This place is one of Baroque Works' branch bases. If the senior agents find out you killed so many of their men, they won't let you go easily!"

"You should get out of here—"

"You mean those two, right?" Logan interrupted, turning his gaze toward the street entrance.

There, a man and a woman were standing side by side.

The man wore a brown trench coat and had an afro big enough to make him look like a rock musician.

The woman was tall and shapely, dressed in a pale yellow dress, a parasol twirling delicately in her hand. Her hips swayed with every step.

"You guys sure have guts," the man sneered.

"....."
