Chapter 4 - Chapter A-V : The Emperor’s Birthday and the Banknotes.

25th December, Space Era Year 100.

Music from the Festival of the Century resounded throughout the imperial capital of Berlyn. The citizens celebrated both the National Day of Centory and the birthday of Lord Aelyzabeth Thors, the nation's matriarch— the woman who had raised a civilization from the ashes of war.

Yet within the Thors Manor, silence reigned.Only the whisper of the wind through the windows and the soft rustle of turning pages broke the stillness.

Aerys Vilozyver sat beside his mother's bed.The pale light from the lamp glinted upon his silver hair, casting a cold sheen across his youthful face.In the quiet, he read from a thick book while Aelyzabeth Thors, still convalescing, smiled faintly.

"Aerys… will you not go out with your father and your younger siblings?I can have them take you."

The young man lifted his gaze briefly, then shook his head in silence.

"You know," she continued gently, "I have decided to name you as my heir.Does that not please you, my son?"

Again, he only shook his head—no word, no emotion.

Aelyzabeth sighed softly. Reaching toward the nightstand, she drew out an old-bound volume and handed it to him.

"This one is intriguing. Read it—perhaps it will help you understand the world more deeply."

The title read: Mein Kampf.

Aerys accepted it with reverence, bowed his head once, and began to read in silence, while his mother reclined, whispering, "I shall rest a while—my lungs ache a little."

Time passed slowly.Sunlight shifted to a mellow gold across the room.Aerys read the book again and again—three times through—before finally closing it.Without expression, he rose, drew a blanket over his mother's shoulders, then turned toward her desk.

Upon the monitor glimmered rows of classified files—research notes, technologies, and the vast financial ledgers of Aelyzabeth Thors. He examined them with quiet precision, finding sums beyond mortal imagination—billions in state credits bound to gold reserves and military innovations.

A thought, cold and brilliant, flashed within his mind.

He opened the design software and began to sketch. He titled the project: "Set Banknotes Aerys-A CKR."They were to be The Banknotes of the Century—each bearing his mother's portrait, from ten to one thousand Centory Pounds. He worked with reverent care, as though forging a new sacred emblem of the nation itself.

When the design was complete, he signed it with a digital seal:

"Aerys Vilozyver"

and transmitted the file directly to the Ministry of Treasury.

Moments later, Aelyzabeth stirred awake to the tone of an incoming message—a call from her secretary, Lea von Yigzorch, regarding the approval of the newly submitted currency design.

She scrolled through the files, page by page, then turned toward her son with a smile she could scarcely contain.

"Aerys… you did all of this yourself?"

He merely nodded—his eyes never leaving the screen.

Aelyzabeth laughed softly, her eyes glimmering with tears.

"Magnificent… utterly magnificent, my son…"

She authorized the design at once, declaring publicly that:

"The Banknotes of the Century, Set Aerys-A CKR, shall stand as the new symbol of our nation—designed by Lieutenant Aerys Vilozyver."

Simultaneously, she signed another order—the promotion of her son from Lieutenant to Captain.

Aerys simply nodded, silent as ever. The light of the monitor reflected in his eyes—deep, cold, and unfathomable.

And on that day, the world beheld the radiant smile of a proud mother…but none saw the faint shadow that lingered in the eyes of the son who watched her from beside the bed.
