Mankey waved its arms and stomped its feet, looking utterly exasperated. It pointed a finger at the dummy, seemingly threatening it.
But threatening a machine yielded no response. The Wobbuffet dummy maintained its smile, silently staring back at Mankey.
Feeling ignored ("cold violence"), Mankey exploded. It rushed forward, unleashing a flurry of Scratch attacks, followed by a rapid series of Karate Chops.
Every move was full power. Mankey held nothing back.

A series of dull thuds echoed as Mankey's attacks landed on the dummy, but they caused zero damage.
This equipment was built to endure heavy punishment. A Level 21 Mankey couldn't possibly scratch it.
To be precise, even an Elite-level Pokémon would struggle to dent its defenses.
Seeing Mankey pick a fight with a training dummy, Kenji felt a bit helpless. But knowing the monkey's temper, he knew interfering would only make things worse. He decided to let Mankey entertain itself.
Kenji turned his attention to supervising the training of his other Pokémon.

Mankey's attacks continued to rain down on the Wobbuffet dummy.
But the dummy only swayed slightly. Not a single scratch appeared on its surface.
Now, that Wobbuffet smile looked even more mocking, as if silently taunting Mankey to hit harder.

Mankey grew even angrier. It unleashed a Close Combat, punching and kicking the dummy with reckless abandon.
Kenji glanced sideways at Mankey, then checked his watch.
In just ten minutes of unrelenting assault, Mankey's stamina was draining rapidly.
Moves like Close Combat were powerful, but their energy consumption was equally massive.
At this rate, Mankey would burn out completely in less than three minutes.
Kenji rubbed his temples. We haven't even started real training yet, and it's already emptying its tank.
And this was just Mankey. Once it evolved into Primeape, its temper would be even worse.
Kenji genuinely feared that Primeape might accidentally rage itself to death immediately after evolving.
Though, that might actually be good. It could trigger a double evolution straight into Annihilape...
While Kenji was lost in thought, Mankey's stamina was nearing zero.
Kenji took out some Pokéblocks and an energy drink from his bag, ready to replenish the monkey once it finally stopped.
But Mankey didn't stop. It kept swinging, staring at the "Wobbuffet" as its rage continued to climb.
As its anger spiked, the parts of Mankey's body not covered in white fur—its limbs, ears, and nose—began to turn red.
First a light pink, then a deep crimson.
Kenji paused, staring in surprise at the color change.
What's happening? Is it... overheating from rage??!
Gradually, as its skin turned deeper red, white steam began to rise from its body. Its body temperature was skyrocketing along with its anger.
Mankey's eyes were filled with solid, tangible rage. It stopped its flurry of attacks. Instead, it pulled one leg back, adopting a stance to charge up a single, massive strike.
Kenji narrowed his eyes, staring at the white steam billowing off Mankey.
To his shock, the steam above Mankey's head began to coalesce into a phantom shape. It looked like a Primeape, but with wild, Super Saiyan-esque hair.
That was... Annihilape!!!
What the hell is going on??!! Kenji stared blankly at the scene.
"Ha——ya!!! —"
As Mankey charged its punch, the phantom Annihilape above it mimicked the stance.
Fully charged. Mankey threw the punch. The phantom punched with it.
BOOM!!!! —
The moment the punch flew, the steam phantom exploded, merging into Mankey's fist as it slammed into the Wobbuffet dummy.
A deafening explosion rocked the training ground, instantly drawing the attention of all the other Pokémon.
Kenji raised an arm to shield his face as the shockwave whipped his jacket violently.
When the dust settled, Kenji lowered his arm and looked toward Mankey.
Mankey was lying on the ground, unconscious with swirling eyes. Its skin color had returned to normal.
But when Kenji looked at the Wobbuffet dummy, his jaw dropped.
A massive hole had been punched into the dummy's stomach, caving in more than half of its torso!!
This dummy was rated to withstand attacks from standard Elite-level Pokémon without issue!
Yet, Mankey's single punch had done this.
This meant that the power of that punch had surpassed Elite level and was approaching Champion level!!
What kind of concept is this???
Mankey was only Level 21. A mere "Occupational-tier" (low level) Pokémon.
An Occupational-tier Pokémon had just unleashed a punch with power rivaling a Champion-level move.
Even Beedrill couldn't do that at this level!!
