Chapter 20 - Chapter 132

[New fanfic is UP!!]

[Marvel: I Come From Dragon Ball]

The night after the Japan Cup.

Night hung low; the lights of Central Tracen Academy swayed in the autumn breeze.

Kuroha's trainer dorm was livelier than ever.

The spacious living room had been carefully arranged—not lavish, but warm, full of lived-in charm.

On the coffee table in the center, the feast was stacked high:

fragrant Japanese curry rice, crispy fried chicken bites, a fresh seafood salad,

plus a small mountain of desserts and snacks that Fujimasa March and Inari One helped make.

Since those two parties back at Oi, this was Kuroha's third celebration.

After all, it was the first time someone from her team had taken a G1—and an international G1 at that.

It was worth remembering.

…Sakura Chiyono O didn't count.

Back then Kuroha had merely played the "doctor," helping out from the side.

"Trainer, should I put this here?"

"Ah—yeah, just a little to the back."

Fujimasa March, relaxed and cheerful, carried in a carton of ice-cold drinks and set them neatly.

Inari One, meanwhile, was buzzing with excitement.

Banquets were totally her thing— she hopped around like a little fox spirit, and every so often dashed to Kuroha's side to snag a small snack from him.

"Hey, Inari, don't eat all the goodies by yourself," Kuroha teased with a grin.

Inari One puffed her cheeks. "We're supposed to eat them! I'm just having a little."

This was an in-house team party, so unlike last time, they hadn't invited everyone like Tatsuko Yuzuhara and the rest of the whole crew.

The doorbell rang right on cue.

"I'll get it!" Inari One chirped, scampering to the entryway.

First through the door were Sakura Chiyono O and Mejiro Ardan.

Sakura Chiyono O wore casual clothes, the very picture of a girl next door.

Mejiro Ardan had on a simple, elegant dress.

"Trainer, March, Inari—good evening!" Sakura Chiyono O called first.

"Welcome! Come on in!"

Before long, another peal of bright laughter floated from the hall—

the little duo arrived hand in hand.

They were still young, and a nighttime visit for dinner made them giddy.

"Good evening."

Mejiro McQueen bowed politely.

Tokai Teio was more boisterous; as soon as she stepped in, she called out:

"Trainer! Everyone! I'm here!"

"Evening, Teio, McQueen."

Preparations were basically done.

Kuroha stepped out to greet them, and when Teio bounced against his leg he crouched with a smile.

"What does Teio want to eat tonight?"

"...I want to eat everything! Teio-sama never gets fat!"

Giggles bubbled up as everyone chatted,

and then—another knock.

This time, everyone knew exactly who it was.

Kuroha went himself to open the door.

There stood the blonde girl from the White Eagle country.

At 182 cm, she almost met Kuroha eye to eye.

Tonight she wore a dark-blue casual jacket over a white T-shirt, fitted jeans below—

a tall, powerful silhouette,

so different from the rock-chic "bad girl" style she sometimes imitated.

This was the real Obey Your Master.

Seeing Kuroha at the door, her smile rose, genuine and bright. "Good evening, Trainer."

"Welcome, come in," Kuroha said, offering his hand and gently guiding her inside. "Everyone's here."

Obey Your Master tilted her head slightly, taking in the warmth and bustle within.

Her heart skipped—then softened.

She had long been used to training alone, living alone.

This kind of heat and warmth… felt new.

With her arrival, the celebration truly began.

Kuroha's G1-tier cooking showed its power again;

each dish dazzled in color, aroma, and taste, drawing delighted praise from the horse girls.

During the party,

Inari One ran point on the mood—

dragging Obey Your Master into card games one moment,

then competing with Sakura Chiyono O to see who could eat more radish-flavored chicken bites the next.

Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen dashed around the living room,

occasionally sneaking Kuroha's special chocolates and mini cakes.

The one sprinting circles was Teio;

the one sneaking chocolate was the little silver-haired loli.

Fujimasa March and Mejiro Ardan stayed near Kuroha,

quietly watching the chaos with fond smiles.

Now and then they'd ask him for another plate,

leaving Kuroha helplessly amused.

At first, Obey Your Master seemed a touch reserved—

she hadn't formally joined the team before,

and usually only trained with them; after training, apart from chatting with Kuroha, she'd return to her own room.

But soon the team's energy swept her up.

Laughter and playful squeals filled the dorm.

"…This is nice,"

Kuroha thought, sitting to the side, his heart full of satisfaction as he took it all in.

As the night deepened, Tokai Teio and Mejiro McQueen—because of their age—

were escorted out around nine by Kuroha to head home.

With the two little ones gone, the mood quieted a bit.

Around midnight,

the lively atmosphere finally ebbed.

Fujimasa March and the other three yawned in sequence and took their leave one after another.

Soon,

only Kuroha and Obey Your Master remained in the living room.

Kuroha smiled at her. "So—what do you think of my team?"

Obey Your Master picked up a half-finished glass of juice and swirled it lightly.

"Very… special. Louder than I imagined, but also warmer."

"Warmth, huh?" Kuroha arched a brow.

Obey Your Master set down the cup. "In my old celebrations, it was almost unrelated to people—

and there was mockery toward those who failed.

Laughing and playing together like this… tonight was a first.

I really like it."

Kuroha exhaled softly, smiling. "Good."

He glanced at the deep night outside. "It's late. Is it easy for you to get back to your dorm? Want me to walk you?"

She looked up, hesitated a beat, and confessed,

"Trainer, to be honest… I rushed out and forgot my dorm key."

That… felt familiar.

Kuroha sensed incoming trouble.

"And it's really late," she added.

"I was wondering… could I stay here for tonight?"

Her voice sounded calm, but not entirely so.

Kuroha paused, took a sip of cola from the table.

"…Want to take a shower first?"

Hearing that, Obey Your Master's lips curled.

The smile grew—

stars seemed to light up in her blue eyes.

She suddenly clasped Kuroha's arm.

A soft, overwhelming pressure pressed in—

"Trainer," she blinked, laughter in her voice,

"do you like girls with dual personalities?"

Kuroha sighed. "Are you switching personas on me now?"

Her tone softened to a whisper. "I can show the second one only when I'm with you~"

She'd played hard during the party; her outfit was a bit disheveled.

That tall, scorching figure leaned right against him.

Slender legs gleamed pale;

his arm felt startling softness and spring.

Through the thin fabric, that presence was impossible to ignore,

pressed full against him.

Kuroha's gaze slid down from the starlit blue eyes

past her flushed cheeks—

and finally to that shadowed line of depth—

…bigger than Inari's by a size.

Kuroha exhaled.

Good thing he'd been using [Wit] and [Gut] discipline training since joining Central,

or he might actually fold here.

The next moment, Obey Your Master gave a small yelp as Kuroha scooped her up by the waist.

She bumped softly against his chest.

"It's fine if you don't have spare clothes," he murmured by her ear. "You're resting the next couple days anyway—

just wear mine."

The starry glimmer in her eyes softened back to normal.

"Click."

The bathroom door shut.

The first three times, Kuroha had been the one forced onto the carousel.

Tonight—she was taking the initiative to climb on.

Tonight, the Encyclopedia of All Things opens—no doubts.
