Chapter 188 - Chapter 188: Su Wan's fate is your fate.

Despite Su Ning'an's reluctant expression, she obediently handed over the necklace.

I'm not one to steal other people's things, let alone a necklace. There are so many alternative styles.

But when I think of all the things she did in the past, how it frightened me last night, I curl my lips into a smile. "Thank you very much."

"You're welcome!" Su Ning'an replied with obvious gritted teeth.

But what does that have to do with me?

With people like her, the angrier she gets, the happier I get!

After getting the necklace, Lu Yanchen and I turned to leave. Lu Yanchen caught a glimpse of the smile on my face. "Are you feeling better?"

"Yeah, I suddenly feel better."

"Then let's go shopping again. Maybe you'll feel even better."

I turned to look at him. "Aren't you going to the office today? I should have a lot to do at the end of the year."

"Nothing is more important than spending time with your wife."

My heart raced when he said that, and I hurried into the women's clothing store nearby.

I picked out a few dresses and held them up to him, asking, "Which one looks good?"

"I think any of them would look good on you with your figure. But since we're here, we should choose the one that suits you best. Let's go to the fitting room and try them on."

He didn't give a toss, and I really enjoyed this ordinary life.

Not running around in high heels, too busy to even pick out a dress.

I chose a few everyday dresses, nothing too flashy like a mini dress. One of the zippers was too small and thin to reach, so I called to the salesperson outside, "Can someone please zip it for me?"

The curtain opened, revealing my bare back to the person. I whispered, "Excuse me."

Her hands were cool, and the unintentional touch against my skin made me shudder.

The zipper slid smoothly to the top, and she suddenly said, "You're welcome."

It was Su Ning'an!

She didn't sound as gentle as she usually does in front of others. Instead, her voice was low and cold, like a demon from the depths of hell.

Just as I was about to turn around, she grabbed my hands, twisted them behind my back, and pushed me against the wall.

There were no outsiders here, so she didn't pretend anymore.

"Jiang Wanwan, I originally thought you were attacking me to compete for the position of Mrs. Lu. I've already been kicked out of the Lu family. Why are you still so aggressive?"

She finally found the opportunity to ask the question. "Su Ning'an, if you don't want people to know, then don't do it. If you haven't done anything immoral, why are you afraid of being exposed?"

"Immortal? What have I done?"

Sensing the guilt in her words, I broke free from her restraints and grabbed her neck with my palms.

"You know exactly how Su Wan died!"

At my mention of Su Wan, a flicker of fear crossed her eyes.

"Even the police haven't found out anything. Don't slander her. She just had a bad fate."

I sneered. "Was it just bad luck, or was it someone's long-planned conspiracy?"

"Jiang Wanwan, Su Wan and you didn't even know each other. What did her death have to do with you? I advise you to stop now, lest you get caught in a scandal instead of the mutton!"

"Are you threatening me?" I half-closed my eyes. I don't know when she pulled out a dagger and twisted my arm. I felt a sharp pain, and the next second, the dagger was pressed against the aorta in my neck.

She lowered her voice and spoke word by word, "Jiang Wanwan, there are some murky waters you can't just wade into. I'm here today to warn you. Be a good Mrs. Lu. We'll keep our distance. If you dare to stand in my way, I'll do it."

"What do you want?"

She stared fiercely into my eyes and said, "What happened to Su Wan will happen to you."
