Chapter 165 - Chapter 165 Lu Shiyan's Revenge

Back in college, Lu's mother was forced into a blind date with Lu Shiyan. She was only a dozen years older than Lu Yanchen.

Could it be that Lu Yanchen had always had a crush on her?

The thought flashed through my mind, and I shook my head, shaking off the unbelievable thought.

It was just a bouquet of roses. Lu Yanchen had also placed a bouquet of roses at my grave on the day of my burial. Could it be that he still liked me?

I subconsciously asked, "Are my uncle and my sister-in-law close?"

Lu Shiyan's voice was faint: "His leg was crippled because my mother was disabled."

Before I could ask further, Lu Shiyan got out of the car, holding a bouquet of chrysanthemums. He walked slowly toward the tombstone.

The two of them, one sitting, the other standing, stood by the grave. I couldn't tell what they said.

The mountain breeze drowned out their voices, making it impossible for me to hear a single word.

Although I hadn't known Lu's mother for long, I remembered her delicious pastries. As a child, I longed to try them, but I was mindful of my status as a guest and didn't dare to eat too much. I don't quite remember what she looked like, but I do remember her as a very gentle woman. She smiled and pushed the pastries towards me, urging me to eat more, as she was at a ripe old age.

Lu Yanchen turned to look at me, his eyes filled with surprise that I'd come.

The mountain breeze was sharp, and the cold air was tinged with sleet. Lu Yanchen looked at me, "Why are you here?"

"Xiao Lu told me you were here, so I came to see you."

He reached out and took my hand, noticing how cold it was. "It's cold, you go back first. I have something else to do."

"...Okay."

He and I weren't really married, so there was no need for him to tell me where he was going.

I continued to ride in Lu Shiyan's car back home.

As I turned to leave, I didn't notice a bunch of white hydrangeas still on the passenger seat of the car next to me.

After paying respects to Lu's mother, Lu Shiyan returned to his car, closing the door to keep out the gusty wind and snow.

I watched Lu Yanchen being pushed by Shen Ji, feeling a mixture of emotions. I took the initiative and spoke to Lu Shiyan: "You just said Yanchen's leg was broken. What's going on?"

Lu Shiyan turned to look at me. "You really want to know?"

I nodded.

He suddenly leaned towards me, his hands on the car door, trapping me in his arms.

There was the driver in the front seat, and I was his aunt, so I never thought he'd dare do anything to me.

As his presence enveloped me, I panicked. "Lu Shiyan, what are you doing?"

He pinched my chin, studying my face closely. "Look closely, you and Su Wan really look alike, especially those eyes. Aunt, you've hurt me so badly this time."

Yes, my eyes are completely different from Jiang Wanwan's, so he could see Su Wan's touch in my face.

For the past few days, Lu Shiyan had been acting incredibly dejected, but now he finally dropped the mask.

"I don't understand what you're talking about."

He raised the partition, shielding the driver from the front seat. Only he and I were left in this enclosed space. Lu Shiyan sneered. "Don't you understand? Jiang Wanwan, do you really think I'm a fool? Everything at the dinner was clearly arranged by you and my uncle. I don't like Fu Xue at all!"

"Didn't you say it doesn't matter who you marry besides Su Ning'an?"

"That was just a rant!"

Lu Shiyan's fingertips brushed my cheek. "The only person I love is my wife, Su Wan, and yet you made me betray her! Jiang Wanwan, why should I marry a woman I don't love, while you can live happily?"

"Let me go, Lu Shiyan. I'm your aunt."

He sneered. "Why don't you try and see if my uncle gets angry even if I touch you? I tell you, for my mother's sake, even if I make the biggest mistake, he'll protect me."

"Jiang Wanwan, don't blame me. Blame yourself for having the same face as my wife. I didn't provoke you, you provoked me first."

As he spoke, he leaned in, trying to kiss me. I slapped him hard in the face. "Lu Shiyan, are you crazy? How dare you disrespect me? If Dad finds out, he won't let you go."

He didn't even care about the slap, his eyes brimming with sarcasm. "If I say you seduced me, guess who my grandfather will believe, you or me?"

He leaned in closer and whispered in my ear, paranoid, "What I, Lu Shiyan, can't have, Lu Yanchen will never have."

A sinister glint shone in his eyes. He was seeking revenge on me, and on Lu Yanchen.

Crazy! Everyone in this world is crazy.

I thought I knew Lu Shiyan's character from years of association, but I had no idea he had such a hideous heart.

"Lu Shiyan, do you still remember Su Wan? She died so tragically. What are you doing?"

Lu Shiyan's grip on my clothes paused, as if a modicum of sanity had returned.

When his gaze fell on my face, he lost consciousness again. He leaned over and rested his hand on my neck, murmuring, "Wanwan, you're back! I missed you so much..."

"I'm not Su Wan. Let me go."

"Yes, you're not Su Wan. My Wanwan is the most beautiful woman in the world. She's not a vicious, ruthless woman like you! Jiang Wanwan, I won't let you go!"

"You and your uncle haven't consummated your marriage yet, right? Today, I'll make you a real woman!"
